"Krista, I think we just had a moment" He said with a grin as he tightened his grip on her small hand. They were still walking, and Kobby only said that to break the awkward the silence that had stretched across them when she had said that. And she seemed really sincere in what she had said, and Kobby hoped that it was true. He didn't have a lot of close friends and even they were only going to be friends Kobby would be happy with that. Though, as he looked over at her and decided he wouldn't mind being more then friends at this point. he liked her, though he didn't know how much. But everyone had to start somewhere.
"Is there anywhere on campus you prefer to be? I like to walk, but if you wanna go somewhere and sit that would be fine too"

Hope looked over at Kobby and smiled softly, nodding her head in agreement. She didn't really know what to say at a time like this. She wasn't the best when it came to boys, mainly because they freaked her out a lot of the time. Well, back home they did after everything went down. But she seemed to be getting better. Well, obviously she was getting better. She was walking around, holding Kobby's hand for goodness sake. She didn't expect it, but it made her smile. It seemed that she liked Kobby, but she didn't really mind it. At all.
When he asked her if she wanted to go anywhere on campus and sit, she shrugged her shoulders and shook her head, "It doesn't matter to me at all. It's whatever you prefer to do," She said in a polite manner. She really didn't care at all. She liked walking, she was having a nice time. It was relaxing, plus Kobby said earlier that him sitting down was driving him crazy.

"We can keep walking then. Just if you get tired let me know and we can stop alright?" He grinned a little bit, and looked around. he wasn't sure what it time it was, but it was starting to get a bit dark. That made him think that it was going to be time to go back soon, so he walked them in a circle so that they turned around and headed back. they were far enough away that by the time they did get back it would probably be curfew.
"It's going to be time to go back soon, so we might as well head back" he smiled at her lightly, before looking forward again. he didn't really wanna go back yet, but it wasn't worth getting in trouble over. He liked this girl, and so he needed to be able to see her again and either of them getting put into isolation wouldn't help that.
NOTES: sorry its a little short... =\

Hope smiled lightly and nodded her head at him, "I doubt I'll be getting tired anytime soon, Kobby," she said, a light laugh in her tone. She looked up at the sky. It was starting to get dark, but she didn't care. When they made a circle, she knew that he was heading back. It was nice that he didn't want them getting into trouble. She smiled again, this had been one of the best days that she's had in a long time. Who would have thought she would have this good of a day, with a guy no less? She definitely didn't think anything like it.
She nodded her head, agreeing with him, "I've managed to stay out of trouble so far, so we better keep it that way," she said with a light smile. She was never one to get into trouble. She stayed far away from it, well as best as she could anyway. Whenever she hung out with her brother, just before that night, he would always wind up getting the two into trouble somehow. She hated it. It drove her crazy, "I've had a nice time today, Kobby," She said lightly, figuring that she might as well say it. It was all because of him this day turned out so well.

"I won't get you in trouble Krista. I'm a good influence.. I don't get into trouble. Not really" he said with a small grin. And it was true, for the most part. Yeah, Kobby had had his runs ins with trouble, but that was done. He wasn't that person anymore, and was a lot happier now that he wasn't getting into trouble all the time. He had more energy to do things that he liked and made friends better.
He squeezed her hand a little bit as they walked. "What about you Hope.. any run ins with the law??"

Hope smiled and nodded her head. She had kind of already figured that out, but it was nice to be reassured. Yeah, she'd gotten in trouble before, and she could usually handle any situation thrown at her, but she still didn't like it. It was just too much to go through, and it was alot of shit to deal with. She didn't like it, so she usually stayed away from it, "I believe you," She said in a quiet tone.
When he asked her if she had any run ins with the law, she wanted to laugh, and she actually did, just a little bit. She had been in trouble with the law, but it wasn't her fault. It was either her brothers, or one of his friends. She was just guilty by association. There was only one time that she'd gotten in trouble, and that's when they ran away and caught her. But that wasn't really a crime, "Not really, unless you count being guilty by association."

"What do you mean Hope?" he asked, looking down at her with furrowed eyebrows. He guessed the people she was with got into trouble, and then some of the blame was put on her. That had happened to Kobby a few times, but he had always known it was going to happen. He didn't know if Hope had been in on the plan or not.
Kobby always knew that he was driving a get-a-way car. Or that the guy they were following was going to get robbed. It was part of living on the streets, but that part of his life was done. And it was odd, because Kobby had never really lived on the streets, he just hung out with the crowd that did. He shrugged, thinking back on it before looking forward again.
"So would you be interested in doing this again sometime?" He asked with a grinn.

"Well, my brother and all of his friends are druggies," Hope started off saying. It didn't bother her talking about how much trouble her own brother got her into. It just made him look like a bad person, and she wanted that right now. She didn't know why, she wasn't usually one to act like that. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he hated her now, "When they were high, they would do a lot of stupid crap around town. They would usually blame me for something, like stealing or vandalizing. It was pretty stupid."
She looked over at Kobby and smiled brightly, nodding her head, "Ofcourse I'd be interested," she said, happily. She'd had an amazing time that day, and couldn't wait to hang out with Kobby again. He was, literally, one of the sweetest guys that she'd ever met and this had been one of the best days she's had in a long, long time.

"Well I don't think that really counts as you getting into trouble. Thats their fault, it isn't fair that they blamed you" He said in a pretty monotone voice. He didn't like that she had bee blamed for something she hadn't done. That pissed him off, though he wasn't sure why. Maybe because she had been through enough? It sounded to him, like her brother was responsible for everything she had been through and that wasn't how it was suppose to be. Family was suppose to be everything, and all though Kobby didn't have a good family him and Gavin were really close.
"Well, what would you like to do next time we see eachother?"

Hope smiled lightly and shrugged her shoulders lightly. It didn't really bother her that they blamed her on things like that, it actually kept some people off her back when everyone else was teasing her. They thought that she was a badass; which was, ofcourse, a lie, but she wasn't going to tell them that, so so they would tease her as well. That would be stupid on her part, "My brother isn't as bad as he sounds," She said out of the blue, "We actually used to do everything together. We rode horses, he taught me how to fight. He's the one that taught me how to play guitar. He just started hanging around the wrong people."
She bit down on her bottom lip as she thought. She really didn't care where they went. She knew that she would be happy just hanging out with him. He was fun to be around, even though they didn't do much of anything. All they did was talk, and that was good enough for her. She wasn't one to go all out just to have fun, she was a simple person, "It doesn't really matter to me. Just hanging around with you will be fun," she said, smiling softly.

"Well, sometimes people change for the better, and some for the worse" He looked at her a little bit, hoping that he hadn't hurt her feelings. He could tell that Hope really cared for her brother, but he had seen people care for others who shouldn't be cared for anymore. Well, maybe that was a bit harsh. Of course he didn't want Hope to stop caring for her brother, but maybe for her to realize that he wast the person he had been before.
Looking forward again, they came to entrance of the Hawthorne and he stopped walking to look at Hope. "Well, I'll remember that next time I see you. I had a nice time with you though, and I'm glade that were friends" He grinned a little and turned his head to the side.

Hope had to agree with him, "Yeah, I know. And I know his is for the worst, just keep hoping the old him will show a little bit," She really didn't want to admit that her brother had changed for the worst, but she had to. Because it was the truth. He was an asshole and a druggie, and there was nothing that she could do about it. She worried about her brother constantly, and would sometimes wish that their mother would send him here to get better. But so far, there had been no such luck.
She smiled brightly at Kobby, agreeing. She was happy that they had met, and became friends in such a short amount of time. It had always been nearly impossible for her to make friends as quickly as she just did, "Me too. This was fun," She really didn't know what else to say to him, everything that she could say, she had probably said eariler. She bit her bottom lip and looked to the ground for a moment. She really didn't want this day to end, but she knew that it had to. So, she looked back up and gave him a smile, "We should probably get to our dorms now. I'll see you soon, Kobby. Good night." And with that, she gave him another warm smile and a wave of her hand, before she began to head to her dorm.
notes: yeah, it pretty much sucks. you don't have to reply.(:
