Merrick had gone from want to need to something entirely different in a matter of days. He needed a drink and a strong one! Merrick had worked to find someone who could give him just that but so far he hadn't up with much until hearing about a girl named Eliza. From what he heard, it sounded promising. He spend the evening looking for this mysterious girl who could provide him with that beautiful bitter liquid but everything led to a dead end until someone mentioned the roof. Finding the stairs, Merrick went up them, hardly caring about getting caught. He was beyond that point now. He just needed to sit down and have a drink and just chill for a sec. Pushing the doors open with probably a little more force than he needed to use, Merrick stared out at the roof and caught sight of a girl. "Please tell me you're Eliza," he said, almost begging for it to be true. He needed a drink and she apparently had it and striking some sort of deal would be easy enough as long as she was the right person. OUTFIT

Eliza was sitting up on the ledge of the roof again. She had been in this same position the night before. She had just found out that she had a new supplier and was partying it up. She had brought both bottles she had left up to the roof. As she was sipping out of one and looking at the street below she smiled. Nothing like getting new alcohol to cheer up an alcoholic. She heard the door open and she turned around, setting the bottle on the edge and jumping down. Eliza smiled when he asked if it was her. "Depends on what you want. I could be Elizabeth if its not something I carry, otherwise I'm Eliza" she said smiling. Nothing like trying to confuse a kid. Obviously they wanted a fix, of what she wasn't certain. She checked the boy out, tight white shirt. Jeans. The usual. She hoped that he wasn't working with the administration and trying to catch her supplying to the other kids. That would end her up in Isolation for a while. She reached behind her and grabbed the bottle she had just been drinking out of, leaving the other bottle on the edge before taking a big sip out of it. "Looks like you got what I need," he said when he noticed the bottle. Alcohol, sweet, sweet, bitter alcohol! "Sorry, I forget my manners. I'm Merrick, a pleasure to meet you etc, PLEASE tell me you have some alcohol cause I can I pay you, I just need to know I can rely on a steady supply of the stuff," he said, steeping forward as he rushed throw the quick introduction. He had been nice and friendly to everyone so far but being this close to getting a drink actually proved he really was addicted to it.
Merrick was sure he was fine, he had gone a few days without it which was more than most but as soon as he was close to it, it was like he remembered how badly he needed it again.
Merrick bit his lower lip as he watched her take a drink out of the bottle, knowing exactly what he was missing out on. "Please just tell me what it's gonna cost?," he asked, almost begging a little as he stepped further forward. He didn't want to get into trouble should she be the wrong person but he was certain she had to be. After all, she matched the description and he had the bottle of drink so it all fit.

Eliza smiled as he stated that she had what he needed. She nodded. "I just set up a new supplier myself, so i can help you out too. Only thing is, It'll cost you some" she said smiling. She shook his hand. Eliza remembered entering Hawthorne. She had been drunk. They put her in isolation to sober up, and she ended up getting put in a strait jacket for smashing the camera. Well the other boy in the room had begun to choke her. That sucked. She never wanted to be in a strait jacket again. "Depends on what you want. A pint, a fifth, or just to party with me" she laughed slightly. "It also depends on what you want. Right now I only have Malt Whiskey" she said lightly. "I can live with that," Merrick told her, managing smile now that he found himself a link to more of the good stuff. He was sure they'd be able to work out some kind of deal.
"Malt Whiskey will do. I'll a bottle of whatever you can get with a decent percentage of alcohol in it.. Maybe once a week?" he told her. A bottle a week would be a good start, with some left over to share if he didn't over do it too much. It sounded like a good start anyway.
"So how much? Name your price," he told, reaching into his pocket for his wallet so he could get this out of the way and have a drink before he even thought about being social and maybe hanging out and talking to this girl.
She seemed nice enough and Merrick liked making new friends but first he had to get business out of the way and make sure he'd get what he needed for the rest of the year and maybe make this place a little more bearable.

Eliza smiled. He would have to do with what she had right now. She was still waiting for Gavin to be able to get what she paid for. So he only needed one bottle a week. Eliza wished she was like that. Keeping up with her addictions were horrible. And expensive at that. "I can do once a week, what would you like? I can get anything." she said softly. She had over 3/5th of a gallon coming to her. She was excited for her first big buy. She also wanted to smoke some of that amazing pot that he let her have some of. "This bottle will be $20" she said as she motioned to the unopened bottle next to her. WORDS ;; STATUS ;; Finished TAGGED ;; merrick OUTFIT ;; hereNOTES ;;

"Do think you'd be able to get more though. No, no that'd be bad," Merrick said, laughing a little at himself. Wasn't he suppose to stop this? He didn't want to prove that they were right and that he really was an addict. He didn't like to think he was hooked on it but here he was trying to get more and then wondering if it was even enough but not knowing because his drinks were always brought to him and shared with a party full of people and never ran out so who knew how much he even had. He certainly didn't keep track.
"How bout this, before I run out, I'm come lookin' for ya," he said with a smile. That would work better for him anyway. No thinking involved, just refills when he was running out.
"Er.. Don't suppose you could get some Cristal or Don P or something good. What can you get in anyway?," he said half in jest. No, he didn't need the good stuff in here, he was much more interested in stuff in general.
"Done," he said, grabbing his wallet and pulling out a 20 and handing it to her then grabbing the bottle and opening it then taking a good swig of it,"Damn that's good," he said, not even caring that was malt whiskey. It there was alcohol in it then it was all good.
"Soo, Eliza, come here often?" he asked with a smirk. He figured he'd hang out up her for a while.

Eliza asked if she could get more. They were supposed to be getting over their addictions, but that never worked. She had been here for three years. Freshman year her parents sent her here. She continued drinking all throughout it, and still smoked all throughout it. They didn't allow the minors to smoke cigarettes because it was illegal for them to buy them, but she didn't care. "I'm getting more soon, as soon as my supplier can get it for me. I have some Absolute Vodka coming." she said smiling. She had enough alcohol coming to her, she'd be able to keep up her drinking habits for a few weeks. Her smoking habits, would be a different story. She'd need to go into town this weekend and get more cigarettes. Eliza laughed slightly as he said that he'd come find her before he ran out. It wouldn't be hard to find her. He's just have to go to her dorm or up on the roof. "I can get anything. If my supplier can't get it, when I go into town on the weekends I can get it. Someway, somehow." she said softly. Eliza smiled as she took the twenty dollar bill and he took a swig out of the bottle. Thank god she had more coming her way. "I'm usually here, or in my dorm room. Classes every so often. This week I'll be at all my classes." she said smiling. She had never seen this boy before, she usually knew everyone in the school, but with the influx of new arrivals, new ones came that she didn't know. "Vodka! Love vodka," he exclaimed with a grin. There wasn't really an alcohol that he didn't love but then that was to be expected from someone like him wit his.. penchant for the strong mind altering liquids.
Merrick nodded when she said she could get pretty much anything. That was useful to know and he would definitely take her up on that at some point in the future but really it didn't matter all that much to him as long as it gave him a buzz it was good enough.
"Well, whatever's easier for you," he said with a light shrug. It didn't really bother him so much. The good stuff was what he was used to but he knew he could tolerate anything else. Hell if he got really stuck he'd probably consider drinking ethanol if it was near.
"We're playin the role of 'good student', are we?" he asked with a smirk. He didn't go to classes too often either but then he could bribe his teachers into letting him get by. Here it was just slightly different because although his dad was still sneaking him some for whatever he might wish to spend it on, Merrick was still on a limited budget and for once he didn't have a limitless credit card on him.
"What's that about? They starting to get on your case or something?" he asked, sitting down with a smile as he drank more. It was definitely making him feel so much better now which only made him wonder if it really was all in his head. With such an immediate reaction, maybe this whole alcohol addiction was purely psychological. Either way, he was in no mood to speculate. All he wanted to do now was to chill out and talk a while and generally be in a good mood like he usually was.

Eliza laughed when he exclaimed that he loved vodka. She loved vodka, well she loved any hard liquor. Most parties didn't have hard liquor, so if she was going, she paid quite a bit of money from her allowance to get a lot of alcohol and it would last her a few weeks, before she'd spend a few more hundred on the sweet alcohol. "Just tell me what you want, whether its at the beginning of the week or before you run out, and I can get it. If you want a fifth of alcohol, it'll cost you more, but most likely last you longer, otherwise a pint will be what your getting." she said while she resumed sitting on the edge of the roof. Cross legged, and looking towards the door. Truly, she was buying fifths all the time, but breaking them into pints. She'd be able to sell one pint, and keep some for herself still. "I got caught skipping again for the tenth time. I was told I was going to Isolation, I made a deal of course. So I have to go to every class for the next week to stay out of that hell hole" she said while rolling her eyes. She hated her teachers. They all seemed like they wanted to help her, but she didn't believe that bullshit at all. They were here because they were making good money dealing with dangerous and otherwise harmful kids. "Hell, I'd get a whole case if I had a place to hide it," he said. He knew they did random room checks from time to time so there wasn't really a place for him to keep that much alcohol. To top it off, Merrick had never been terribly organized and wouldn't have a clue how to handle keeping track like that. In all likeliness he would probably loose track and find surprise alcohol in his closet or something.
"Ahh, the dreaded isolation," Merrick said with a smirk. He had heard all about them but he doubted he'd ever find himself there. Merrick didn't do anything too bad too often so him getting into trouble wasn't all that likely. He'd skip classes but living here in the dorms meant that school wouldn't be too hard to get to and if he was already there then why not just sit through a class?
"I just got here and already, I don't like that whole isolation thing," he said. It sounded like a ridiculous idea. Locking kids up if they did something wrong. "It's like time out on steroids," he said, thinking out loud. Merrick didn't know how that was suppose to be a deterrent. Was boredom so bad that kids like these would suddenly turn perfect just to avoid it? Maybe not. That was probably why there were a lot of repeat offenses around these parts.

Eliza smiled. She had a case hidden. Of course it wasn't in her room, it was hidden elsewhere around the school. She had bottles hidden everywhere. Mostly in her room, but some on the roof here with them. Maybe she had left a few here and she had more than one bottle left for herself. "Your telling me" she said smiling. She then got up and moved over behind the door, reaching for a brick that lines the door, and pulled. It popped out. She had a little storage in there. Reaching in she took out a few smaller bottles. They weren't anything special, just what she was able to bring from home and hide before they checked her belongings. "I hate isolation, I had the honor of coming to Hawthorne drunk, they don't appreciate that and they put me in Isolation with some abusive ass, I smashed the camera, the guards freaked, and then we were both put in strait jackets. Not a good experience" she said as she resumed sitting back up on the edge. Now opening one of the new bottles and taking a big swig out of it. She sighed. She missed drinking so much alcohol. Merrick turned and watched as she moved to the door. A hidden stash, nice, he thought as he grinned back at her. If he could get it easily enough then there really was no need to keep it all packed away somewhere. No, this arrangement would work just fine for him.
"Damn, that's gotta suck. I don't usually have that problem, least not when I'm home," he said. "I guess I might while I'm here... Scary thought," he said, though it was more thoughtful that fearful. He didn't mind getting in a few scuffles, it would be something different at least.
"Hell, it's been three days and I wanna go home already," he admitted, feeling he could probably talk to this girl since she hadn't said all that much to show that it would be a bad idea. Plus she was going to be providing him with alcohol so he had to be able to trust her at least to some degree.

Eliza smiled at him. He was right, this place was scary. Never knowing what a person was in here for, whether they were dangerous or not, things probably wouldn't go right. How can they room kids with different problems. She didn't understand that. Why didn't they room alcoholics with alcoholics, anger management with anger management, and so on. Then people would probably get better faster? "I've been here for two years, sent here freshman year because of too much partying. My parents supported it until then. They gave me money for being sent here, and I get more every month." she said as she took another drink. Didn't her parents say that drinking was for social things, she was getting to know Merrick, and this was kinda social, so she could drink according to their standards right? Eliza smirked. She always found wars around her parents rules, either from twisting it a little, or being too literal. Her parents hated her for it and called her stuck up some times. She didn't care. They made her, they raised her, she was their work. WORDS ;; 175ish STATUS ;; Finished TAGGED ;; merrick OUTFIT ;; hereNOTES ;;

"I guess I know what that's like," Merrick said with a grin. That was his life story. His parents were cool and then one day his mom just freaked out and decided some line had been crossed. It was all pretty crazy and yeah, Merrick could see the bad in all of it.
Sure, he had a few really bad car accidents due to drinking and driving and yes he could have died or killed people but that kind of stuff happened all the time. Sure, his dad had to put the local cops on his payroll just to keep his son out of trouble.. And yes, the list did go on and on but it wasn't like he was a hobo living on the streets and spending every last penny on booze. No, he definitely did not have a problem.
"So is that why you're here? The alcohol?" he asked, thinking that perhaps she might have the same kind of problem he did. At least it would be another person to add to his short list of like minded people. "That reminds me.. Hang on a sec," he said, pulling out his phone and texting something. "Okay, so how come you're here?" he said, gracefully returning to the conversation.
