Luis' blue eyes widened, his hand instinctively wanting to fly over the boy's mouth. More smack talk from the wisecracker. More cursing from the king of hardcore. What the hell was wrong with this kid? Probably the same thing that was wrong with every damn student in the school. They were determined, hell-bent on making the lives of the faculty as difficult as humanly possible. He shook the thought, nodding on with walking to Hawthorne. He had already got verbally abused and he hadn't even approached the entrance. That Isaac kid driving by and yelling abuse was a mood-killer of it's finest. Luis was glad for that though, he'd become slowly addicted to bad moods. They fuelled his contempt. As long as the fact he lived in a tumbledown with a kitchen the size of a bathroom hadn't already dampened his mood.
He entered his morning class, having forgotten Mr Brexton was in his morning class. Bravo, your going to try to annoy me twice in one morning." he called to him in a pleasant, chirpy tone when Isaac entered the class. He sat down at his big wooden teacher's desk and opened his briefcase with all his class outlines in it. "Beautiful" a cruel smile spread for the sake of the class, as if to tell him he had a hell of a class for them today. He might've felt guilty if they tried. The more they refuse to try the more he had to kick the work out of them to help them succeed. Course as far as they were concerned he was an evil bitch monster of death. He shrugged it off, might not be such a bad name to let them have. They might get things done. He let the class babble amongst themselves while he prepared his plan and waiting for the rest of the class to take a seat.
Once it was five minutes after class had started Luis got out of his seat and walked toward the door, closing and locking it just in time to see two students running for the door. With a smile he closed the blinds that covered the glass on the door and turned away. If you were late, you weren't worth teaching. He wasn't going to be constantly interupted by latecomers. Ever since his stepdaughter destroyed his marriage he had been a teaching stone. No more exceptions. Turning away from the door he clapped his hands together to project a loud, catching tone to wake his students up. "Terrific. Let's begin." he smirked, walking up to the chalkboard. "Fantastic work everyone getting here, it must be god-awful to have to get your lazy backsides out of bed." he shot in a raised voice. His Spanish accent making his words curl a little more verbal spite.

Merrick grabbed his books. He knew how it went with Mr Alfredo. 1.5 seconds late and you get the door shut in your face. Yeah, cruel and unusual especially since getting to class at all meant that you wanted to learn.. Right? So if he got there, it meant that he should be let in the class so he could write a couple of notes and learn something.. Yeah? Yeah! It made sense!
Slamming his locker shut, Merrick was in so much of a hurry that he clipped his finger. "ow fuck," escaped his lips despite not being the sort of guy who swore too much. In fact, Merrick was very much the chilled out, laid back, cool about everything sort of person.
Finally shutting it successfully. Merrick made his way to his class, in more than a little hurry. Zipping through the crowd he managed to get to the door only to have it slam shut in his face. 'Damn!' he thought. He was so sure he would have made it too.
"Aw come on! Let me in," he said, turning the knob with no luck. The other seemed to just shrug it off and walk away. "Let me in!" Merrick called out again. "I have a good reason for being late," he said, shaking the door knob again, damn these locks, why did they need them anyhow? To torture students? Yeah, and they were doing a damn good job at it too.
"I'm not going away and I'm not shutting up till you let me in," Merrick called out again. "So you might as well open the door cause it's just gonna be annoying trying to teach while I'm out here. And I could go on for days, trust me! I've had practice," he said, yeah darn near impossible which was what he was going for and hopefully the guy would change his mind and let him in.

Sensible and rough, two personality traits that meant he would not be letting in the latecomer. Too sensible to let people walk all over him, too rough to succumb to begging. "Thanks for caring!" he shouted back. Ironically, that was his number 1 pupil knocking on the door. Nobody had higher marks than Merrick which was quite worrying since Merrick was hardly an A student. Then again, getting an A in his class was like catching the plague from a butterfly. It might be fun, hurriedly finishing class just to make Merrick shut up.
He paced around the blackboard for a while, dressed in some old jeans and a hunter green thermal shirt. He was teaching students that, simply put, people can get in lots of trouble for dong something unconstitutional. He didn't need a tux for that. He could hear the torture in Merrick's voice. He was being so kind to him, letting him hear his trouble. It spurred him on.
He walked up to the door and opened it slightly. "You know the rules. Do you think lateness is tolerated in the courts? Why should this class be any different?" he sneered assertively, his expression evasive.

Merrick frowned at the words shouted back. he needed good grade to get the hell out of her. A private school wasn't cutting it and this was his last chance and he liked his life. There was no way that he was going to jeopardies that. He needed to get in that class and make sure he did alright cause there was no way in hell that anyone else was going to be taking notes.
"Aw commee onnn," Merrick begged again. This was just ridiculous. He had seen kids get locked out of this guy's class before but he never thought he'd be on the wrong side of it. It was actually a little funny to watch but then those kids never really cared enough to stick around. Usually they're just cut their losses and leave.
Merrick placed his ear against the door but couldn't hear anything at all. Was he even saying anything yet? It didn't sound like it. Damn! He could hear anything! "At least teach loudly so I can hear," he called out. Yeah that'd work.. Sort of.
Merrick leaned closer when the door opened a little. Yeah okay so being late was bad, he got that, he learned his lesson! "Dude, my dad has a whole fleet of lawyers. They've bailed me out so many times I totally have great respect of them and their craft. Please, please let me in?" he asked. Mr. Alfredo didn't seem like the type to budge and he was probably enjoying this too which just made Merrick want to whine even more.
"Come on, I just want learn, okay?" he said, giving it one more shot.

Cameron smirked as she heard a boy screaming to get let into a classroom. She would have just walked away and skipped class, but god forbid they find her skipping again. Being late would make up for skipping. Quite well. She turned the corner and saw a taller guy pounding on the door and begging to be let in. She rolled her eyes and leaned against the wall next to the door.
Cameron smirked as the door was opened slightly and she pushed past the still begging kid and pushed the door open more. ”Isn’t it a fire hazard to lock the door? Along with a problem if a kid goes crazy and tries to kill people in the school. Kids in the hallway can’t get to safety. So in turn, isn’t it against regulation” she said smirking leaning against the door now.
She knew the rules. She didn’t listen to half of them though. She didn’t know why she was taking this class, she didn’t know why they wanted kids going to class. Hell, they should just be able to worry about getting over their problems and when they began to get better than begin going to classes, but only when deemed ready. She knew that the teacher knew about her origins from Britain. Although it wasn’t hard to know that she was from Britain, she did have the accent. Many people loved her accent, but she stuck out. All of the European kids stuck out compared to the American kids.

He wasn't budging on this. He shut the door firmly shut, locked the door again and started the class. "Right. Judicial Precedent. Who can tell me what that is?" his voice jumped into a low, loud tone. He paced around the room, eyeballing anyone that was trying to avoid his gaze. His voice had been slightly louder than usual so that Merrick knew that he was starting his lesson now and that was final. Luis was still surprised that the most convincing thing he could think of was waving his father's money in his face. As an upper class man himself he knew exactly what it was like to have money (and to not have it, as was the case right now) and he wasn't impressed. Nobody seemed to respond to his question, he took a shallow breath and picked up the chalk, writing the term on the board.
"Come on. It's important you need to know this. Remember when we talked about the lead-by-example approach?" it seemed like nobody in his class had an interest in going through the judicial precedent topic again. He looked closer at his lesson plan, it was basically filled with going over the judiciary. They had to learn what was on his lesson plan, there would be no surprises about that. What suprised him more was that the guy outside the class had apparently been bailed out 'many times'. He didn't seem like that much of a dick. Well, he'd been wrong before. Luis laughed at the silence that spread across his classroom. He placed his hands against his desk, looked the class in the eye and made a simple request.
"Now. Are you going to participate or would you like a practice exam?" he offered, his lips tightening as the annoying little voices behind the door became female.

"I totally know the answer to that," Merrick said quietly, more thinking out loud than actually speaking. He would have to raise his voice if he actually wanted to be heard. He could hear the man inside. The class wasn't exactly responding as usually and hell, Merrick knew a thing or two even if he explained it in his own way that lacked most of the proper terminology. The key point was that he understood.
"That's when they come up with some principle or rule that they can use in other cases, LET ME IN," he said, answering the question and continuing to bang on the door. Before he could say much else a girl appeared and spoke up.
Merrick just stared at her for a moment. Wow.. Just wow. How did she just do that? Was she in this class too? Maybe she just paid a hell of a lot more attention than he did. All he needed to do was pass his classes, graduate and possibly make it to college but this girl was smart. She had a point there and it hadn't even crossed Merrick's mind until she said it.
"Thanks," he said with a smile. What a nice girl. He had seen her around but never really spoken to her. Merrick's eyes widened when the door was shut again. It was a good plan but apparently it failed to convince the man.

So he was late again for law. Big whoop. It wasn like he enjoyed that class much anyway. For the most part, Tristan did better teaching himself. He rarely showed up to class, if ever, but his papers were always turned in on time and done well. He kept a B average for the sake of not making his mother even more upset with him. He was a caring druggie, if you couldn't tell. Nonetheless, he still hated attending class but did so to keep up appearance and let the teachers know that he wasn't dead. Yet. They were lucky if they saw him once a week.
With his books under his arm, he made his way toward class, only to see Cam and Rick leaning against the door. Locked out again? This happened to him often, so often that he got to the point of seeing the door closed and turning immediately around, not even bothering to knock. But this time was different, he walked up to the both of them and smirked as he heard what Cam had said. "Very good point, Cameron. Here, hold these will you?" He gave them his trade mark crooked grin, before handing her his books and pulling a bobby pin out of his pocket. He bent it around a bit before kneeling down in front of the door and playing with the lock. He had grown used to breaking and entering, and had become quite skilled with locks. If this were any other time, he wouldn't bother, but Rick over here wouldn't shut the fuck up. And plus Cam was in class today, that would be hella fun.
Hearing the expected click, Tris chuckled, turning the door knob and pushing the door open. Remaining in the squated position that he was in, he looked up at Mr. Alfredo and the class, a big goofy, crooked grin on his lips. "Good morning, Professor. It seems that you accidently locked your door. Again."

Luis' reaction was flippant as the silence in the class gave him better hearing to the goings on outside. The corners of his lips twitched as he heard the infamous de luca appear on the scene. He stayed in position as if paralyzed, just waiting for them to burst through the door. He was laughing inside. None of them enjoyed his class, he wasn't sure why they bothered wasting his time. He could hear the clacking metal as the lock was fiddled with. Most students walked away. Luis's fingers tapped impatiently on the desk as he waited for them. He took responsibility for safety hazards but it started with students respecting them first. Drinking in class, near flammable labs, and they want to talk to him about safety. Students were cocky little hypocrites. Once the three of them burst in Luis brought the class to an applause.
"Bravo. I'm flattered. I think I'm the only teacher who has students breaking into class. And one of them never bothers to show up at all. Take a seat and try to learn something." his voice finished at a grumble. He didn't care much about them. Why should he give a damn about them when they didn't give a damn about themselves? The abolition of the school though would mean they would be out in reasonable society, even worse. Once Merrick sat down Luis' eyes followed the other two, then transferred back to Merrick. "My aged ears heard some kind of answer from you. Did you do the reading? Do you know what we're talking about?" he asked in a moderate tone.

Merrick stopped his begging in time to laugh as Tristan pulled out a pin. Hell yes, this was just great. "Damn, I need skills like that," Rick said with a grin. That was just great, this school never failed to be entertaining one way or another. Though knowing Mr. Alfredo, this was gonna have an interesting end.
Once the door opened, Merrick stayed by the door frame looking in but laughed again at Mr. Alfredo's words. Students breaking into class. Yeah, the other teachers would be jealous.
"Yeah, course I read.. or skimmed.. or wikipedia'ed.. Close enough!," was Merrick's answer as he walked right in and headed to his desk. Wikipedia was just full of more interesting stuff than the books. Books were boring.. E-books.. were slightly less boring.. Especially when you could download it straight to your phone.
"Dude, I'm getting the highest grade in this class, we don't need to question my genius," he said, sitting down in his place. He wasn't doing brilliantly but compared to the rest of the class, he was doing alright.

Asides from the words 'piss off' right at the beginning of class when Luis had said something about annoying him twice in one day, Isaac had been pretty quiet. He was going to skip this class next time but right now he had nothing better to do. Having had a smoke in the morning he was in a fairly good mood, though you'd never be able to tell.
Getting comfortable in his seat, he looked very bored but the constantly yelling from behind the door kept him entertained. He had to laugh at it. Were it anyone else, they might have just walked away but no, that annoying Rick kid had to go be the teachers' pet (or not so in this case since Luis seemed to have a passive aggressive hate for all his students) and try to get back into class.
"You people are complete nutters, but well done, you've managed to keep him from teaching anything for at least ten minutes," he said, offering up his opinion to the three by the door. Leaning back in his seat, he figured he'd just get comfortable since leaving now was too much effort. Besides, Luis would no doubt have a thing or two to say about it.

Cameron smirked and took Tristan’s books as he walked up and handed them to her. She could have just picked the lock, but she wasn’t that interested in going to class. Hell this teacher hadn’t even met her yet, nor did she care. As he opened the door she smirked. Leave it to them. They would break into their class, but she had broken into class before, at night.
She walked in past Tristan and set his books on a desk before moving to a chair about the middle of the row and sat down. She leaned back though, crossing her arms over her chest. ”Bravo for being a fucking wanker” she said rolling her eyes.
Cameron looked over at Merrick as he answered the teacher. She sighed. She didn’t know why she was there. Today of all days she decided to go to class. Why? She wasn’t sure herself, she just didn’t want to sit around in her dorm. Although what she had said about it being against regulation for him to lock the door in case some kid went crazy was true. She could just take out her knife and kill a kid and the whole school would go into lockdown. All students stuck in classes, and the cops called. Along with the HCA’s most likely. Since of course they would sedate her.
Why was that their fucking solution to everything? Sedation wasn’t a good thing. She had experienced it all too much though. From fighting and cutting up Cara, to her fun back in Bluebird. All had usually ended in sedations.

Tristan stood back up and walked toward the desk that Cameron had placed his books on. He winked at Mr. Alfredo before sitting down and leaning back in his chair. Crossing his arms over his chest, he glanced over at Cam as she called him a wanker. Laughing softly, he spoke up, "You're going to have to teach me your slang, Cam." He could just add it to his list of languages that he already knew. Granted, slang never really counted as a language... unless you counted Ebonics... but he wasn't going there.
Looking back up at the teacher, he listened to what Merrick was saying. This was why he never came to class... the teacher had a dick-ish attittude, and the students never spoke up except for the one teacher's pet. Except Alfredo didn't really seem to like any of the students. Poor guy needed to get high or something. Maybe a good drink would loosen him up. Smirking, he spoke up, "Perhaps if you lightened up, got drunk or something, I'd show up to class more often. You can't deny though, my papers are still awesome even when I don't show up."
It was true, he had awesome papers. Actually, everything he did was awesome. Why? Because he was awesome. End of story. Granted, the majority of people thought he was just a witty class clown when he showed up... but he liked to think of himself as awesome.
