Isaac sat up on the bleachers. Was he missing class? Yes. Did he care? Not so much. he didn't make it a habit to miss too many classes but there were some that he just didn't care for. Law? Was that important? No.. Unless you happen to get into some legal trouble which in his case wasn't so unlikely. So yes, Isaac had been to a few classes just out of curiosity but now he was getting into the habit of missing them. He had just skipped one and was sitting here waiting for the day to go by. It had been the last last of the day and going for a walk seemed more exciting than listening to some rubbish that he didn't care too much about.
After a short walk, the need for a cigarette drove him to find a suitable place to sit and think for a while. The bleachers in the sports field seemed like the perfect place. He had been here a few times and it was starting to be a good place to relax for a while. Pulling out a cigarette, he lit his and shoved his lighter back into his pocket. He was never without it, a lighter was always useful and that became apparent when you get asked enough times if you have one. Being able to say, 'why yes, I do' was nice. Though with Zac it was more like 'yeah'.
Staring up at the sky, he watch the clouds for a moment before pulling the cigarette up to his lips and taking a nice long drag before resting his hand down on his knee again while he leaned against the other as it rested on the bench. It was quiet out here, at least right now but the day light kept it from being lonely. Isaac leaned forward for a moment, resting his forearms against his legs as he stared down at the field. He was up the top, on the last row and it was great just watching everything down below.

Luis was walking from class, frustrated as ever that he had to knock knowledge into heads filled with air. He said to the class 'you've made progress!' but in truth, the only progress they've made was a halt to all those 'awwww wanna hug?' type eyes. Made him want to gag. All he wanted was to sit there and be able to get on. He smirked as he passed the sports field. He knew Brexton had it in him to skip. It was no surprise whatsoever. He spent his nights perfecting absolutely everything and anything he could think of to try to cooperate with his lesson plans. So he was a little peeved, his colored view of Brexton was that he was no good. Luis just couldn't handle people like that. "Skipping class huh? Well that's just neat isn't it?" he pointed out with false enthusiasm. He couldn't speak a lick of Filipino despite his accent being a mixture of Filipino and Spanish.
"Hooray for you, really. You've outdone yourself. Go celebrate by watching Elmo, an intellectual like you might understand it." yeah, he was aware he had been missing his classes. His eyes glazed over Isaac's tattoos. How artistic he thought sarcastically. It was difficult not to insult him. He was a good looking nightmare. At least all his energy would go to good use at college... oh wait, he keeps missing his class he won't get into college. The thought of his failure undoubtedly made him smile. Even if he didn't give a damn about law it was important for him to pass the class in order to graduate. He knew which of his students worked hard and who stole hours of his time. He didn't like being a bastard to the slackers but it was necessary.

"Aw fuck," Isaac muttered as soon as he spotter the law teacher coming his way. He didn't move from his spot though, he care enough to. Besides, it was obvious he had skipped class so why bother trying to straighten up and make an excuse now? The man knew the score. They both did.
Taking one final drag of his cigarette, Isaac dropped it and stomped on it. At least he had the good sense to not accidentally start a fire so there was still hope for him yet.
"Sorry, can't understand a bloody word ya say," Isaac said, not really meaning it but more to add to his reputation for being a complete wanker. The British teen didn't care about insulting people or just generally being rude. This was who he was half the time so why not just go all out with it? Isaac just smirked at the mention of Elmo. He hated Sesame Street but there was a great quote from an interview he saw.
"Elmo likes wasabi.. That's why Elmo has no eyelids," he said, repeating the words he had heard. It was funny to him and hell, why not play along with whatever it was that Luis was on about? Yeah Luis. He could use his first name and why the hell not? Cause it wasn't respectful? Well fuck that.
"What are ya doin here Luis? I avoid ya class for a reason so I really don't want to be hangin' out, havin' a chat outside of it," he told him, leaning back on both hands as they rested against the edge of the bench. It was just too bad. Too bad someone that damned good looking had to go and be a teacher. What a waste. Total and utter waste.

"Huh. OK." he shrugged, he was always going to be a little wierd for him. There was a feeling that he wasn't entirely sincere in his words but Luis brushed right past it. There was something .. he couldn't word it. Intriguing? About how much he seemed to give less of a damn everytime they conversed, which wasn't often. Contributing factors weren't a concern to him. his job was simply to teach Law. He frowned though when he used his first name. "How do you know my first name?" he asked, his eyes urgent. He didn't put his first name on any of his desks, any forms, nothing. He was completely formal in his approach to teaching. Great! he thought now the entire class is going to start greeting him with 'hey looey!'. He didn't see it as rude that he'd used his first name, it was just surprising.
Their talk was interupted by a female staff member approaching him, congratulating him on the new job and asking him how he was getting on. He gave her a polite kiss on the cheek and spoke in stage whispers so that Isaac couldn't hear. Adult conversations were adult conversations, nosy runts of students needed to mind their own business sometimes. She thanked him for helping her with moving her car and other errands he'd done simply out of boredom. Some of the staff members were cool. Except when she paid attention to isaac and the stomped out cigarette in front of him. She started lecturing him and throwing rules at him that prohibit smoking. Luis stepped in "that was mine, actually. i'm sorry still getting used to the rules here." her face was like a deer caught in a headlight. She apologized to Isaac and bid farewell to Luis.
He bit his lip, hesitated for a few seconds then hoped for a quick exit. Fine, I'll leave you alone" he finally started to walk away.

Isaac just rolled his eyes when the man said 'okay'. Seriously? He was just going to accept it? Wow, and then the question. How did he know the guy's name? Did he go out of his way to find out? Not really. Isaac just heard one of the other staff members call him that and ever since the guy was just Luis in his head. What was his last name again? Alfredo? Wasn't that food? Nah, Luis was much easier.
"Does it matter?" Isaac asked, not really seeing the importance of it. Hell, maybe Isaac just liked calling him Luis. It was more personal than 'Mr. what's your name again I need to know when I order it at a restaurant'. Though it didn't stop there. Isaac just had to make it worse. "I had to find out so I'd know what to scream out when I masturbate to thoughts of you," he said, not even the least bit phased by it as the words came out of his mouth. Oh yeah, that ought to make it nice an awkward.
Isaac just smirked a little when the female teacher came up and spoke to Luis. He seemed to make a point of whispering his responses. Did it really matter if Isaac heard a word of it? No, he'd make up his own back story out of boredom anyway. He was on the verge of laughing when she got on to him about the cigarette. He was about to inform her of the fact that he was 18 and thus legally allowed to buy cigarettes and smoke them where ever he wanted but then that'd be too much legal knowledge and Luis might die of a heart attack when he learned that the boy did have a brain.
Fortunately it was unnecessary when Luis ttok the blame for the cigarette. Isaac stood up straighter looking at the guy with genuine shock. Not much surprised him but that sure as hell did! Isaac, quietly swore under his breath. Why did the guy have to go and do a thing like that?!
"Hey, wait," Isaac said, getting on his feet pretty quickly and moving down to where his teacher was. "Why'd ya do that?" he asked. The guy had no reason to take the blame for it and he did. He did that despite all the crap he got from Isaac so why? There was no good reason at all for it. None what so ever!
Standing there, Isaac stood closer to the guy than he had since he started here. It was now that he really got a good look at him, though it'd be a lie to say that he hadn't spent at least a little bit of time just staring at the law teacher. He was kind of hot after all. Though right now he only just realised the height different.
"Huh," the sound escaped his lips. "I always thought you'd be taller," he said, tilting his head a little as he studied the guy. Isaac was a good seven inches taller than him but perhaps the fact that he was a teacher made him seem a little larger than life.

Once again he caught the pleasant sound of a silent cuss. Could be worse, at least he had the name Luis rather than Law-Fucker or whatever they came out with. "Why did I do that? Why do you think? Teachers are the biggest hypocrites around. She's had more cigarettes in the staff room than she can afford, that's for sure." it didn't matter what his female colleague thought of him telling Isaac that. After all if he could find Luis' name he must partake in staff stalking at least some of the time. "Smaller or not I can still whip you by writing a very angry letter" he smirked. He didn't see seven inches as that much different. He knew it was a kind of height that made him look up a little but it didn't mean he was in terrible danger of being squished. As amusing as that thought was.
A sort of educational overhead device in his mentality blocked out his masturbation comment. It wasn't the type of thing he responded to under normal circumstances nor would at this moment in time. Though it did clear up that he was either very crude or very gay. Actually probably both. It was no urgency to find out. It wasn't as if he was going to file a complaint of homsexual harassment. He didn't find it easy caring enough to do anything that drastic. He didn't even believe that homosexuality was as underworld-envoking as everyone made it out to be. He never got to explore his own sexuality growing up but if he had he knew there was a chance he could too be homosexual. Now that'd be hypocritical.
"Anyway I remember you saying you didn't want to chat; I'll leave you alone." he admitted, turning on his heel toward the woods. His home was straight through it. He taught at a school for troubled teenagers so he was pretty sure no more danger could come from living near the woods than there could be in teaching with high risk students. The worst he got was mysterious packages containing hay and what could only be described as organs from a butchers shop. In spite of their height difference, Luis still felt at least they'd bonded a little. Maybe. He wasn't sure. Maybe they hadn't. Either way he wasn't going to stick around.

Isaac just stared at the man, what the hell? What the HELL? Who was this guy and what happened to the boring law teacher? This was not the sort of things he was suppose to say. Yeah, Isaac knew they were hypocrites, he knew how bad they could be but why would anyone admit that let alone him? With a nod of acceptance, Isaac figured he'd just drop it.. for now.
Isaac couldn't help but laugh. An angry letter? Oh so frightening. This guy actually had a personality. Who knew? Maybe Isaac had judged him too harshly but then again, he wouldn't want to be caught fraternizing with the staff. What would people think? None of the students really got along with staff members except the good ones, the ones who followed all the rules.
Why'd he have to be a teacher of all things? He was smart, easy on the eyes and apparently he had a sense of humor too. Why the hell did he have to go and ruin it by working here? Didn't matter, Isaac wasn't to let that information get too far.
Isaac had to do some quick thinking now. He had practically told the guy to bugger off and now he was asking him to stay? That was a bit of a change. "Nah, changed my mind," he told the man. "Turns out I've judged too harshly," he told him, admitting a fault which was something that Isaac almost never did.
He had assumed that all teachers were bad but that came from events at his old school. Every time there was a fight or something went wrong, Isaac was always the one to blame. The teachers never took his side and he hated them for it. He decided then that they were all bad and at about the age of thirteen, he had given up all together and just gone off the rails a bit. Starting fights, doing all kinds of other things and generally doing all the things he had been blamed for starting in the first place. In way they had helped him along to becoming who he was today. Not that it was their fault, it was very much his as well.

Luis was a firm believer in impact of educational authority. The simplest phrase of a teacher can have a thousand meanings for the student. When Isaac quickly caught up with him Luis had at first assumed that he wanted something or was robbing him or something. After all, he'd been told that his class was skipped purely for the reason of not seeing his face. Luis had a hard time translating that to 'sit with me, let us enjoy banter'. Or a less cheesy form of that request. He seemed to have changed within minutes. Then Isaac explained himself. It made sense, people did judge rather quickly in a school where everyone seemed to fit a stereotype. "Everyone does, don't worry about it." he remembered everyone judging him too quickly. Especially back home when he worked in the department of computer connectivity and networking within the law firm he worked for. Everyone saw him as a stuffy no-good layabout.
But that was back when he ate at glossy diners. His life now was a parody of what it had been. It annoyed him from time to time when it should have generated a passionate size of crunching inspiration. So now he was just a very hot mess. "So, do you play anything? acoustic guitar?" he took a shot, he only knew that on average the most played instrument amongst the high school age range was the guitar. Sometimes acoustic, sometimes electric, sometimes bass. Still, it was some way to get the ball rolling and if he did play the guitar, Luis could relate. Even though he hadn't picked one up in a decade, it wasn't the sort of thing you forget. Like sketching, there were some areas of law enforcement in which sketching has to become a skill. Luis wasn't going to deny he could probably draw the entire body of this boy in detail - not that he would, why would he?
Looking at Isaac was like looking at an abstract painting. He wasn't quite sure what he was looking at. As if he were an empty pegboard, he just needed to be filled in. Luis brushed a floppy part of his fringe out of the way, breaking sight from Isaac for only a moment. Why was he here, he was trying to work out. Either too many nights with a wine rack or anger issues. He couldn't quite put his finger on it though.

"Well that's awfully saint-like of you," Isaac said, a little annoyed at his teacher's reaction. Annoyed? He had gone from displeasure to uncertainty to tolerance and now annoyance? Well that was a long and crazy journey. Who know where the next stop will be?
"Acoustic, yeah right," Isaac said with a short laugh. "It's electric or nothin' mate," he told him. He liked his music loud and gritty. Punk rock being his genre of choice. Though anything with a punk vibe to it would do.. Even the older stuff, actually, especially the older stuff.
"Play a bit of drums too and um.. classical piano," he said, adding the last bit in fairly quickly. What was that for? Why in the hell had he gone an done that? Isaac decided he was going for the shock factor or at least just to see if Luis might actually believe it.
"You don't look like the music type," Isaac said, after looking his up and down as though accessing his possible musicality. Though in truth it was a good excuse to look and yeah, teacher was alright. In fact, teacher was kind of hot.
"So ya just gonna stand there then?" Isaac asked. Surely there was a better place to hang out. Sitting on the bleachers would have been alright but then he would no doubt get spotted and cause his fellow students to wonder what in the hell was wrong with that picture.
"Know anywhere we can go to talk?" Isaac asked, moving down a step and evening out the height difference just a bit. He tried not to imply anything with that statement but hell, what did he care how Luis took it.

Luis shrugged with the beginnings of a smile. He kind of expected a more hands-on answer and he got one. He learned acoustic a long time before moving onto electric, not that Isaac needed to know that. There seemed to be somethin about Isaac that made his face seem like he didn't quite know what to say, so any topic of conversation worked for Luis. Admittedly he was maybe a little curious about why Isaac didn't like talking where they were now. There weren't too many people around. Reputation thing, he reckoned. Either that or he wanted to get him alone so he could kill him. Luis wasn't sure he'd stop him either. He found it considerate that Isaac had taken a step down. Not that he had felt uncomfortable at the differing heights before. "A hardass pianist." he qualified, amusement in his eyes.
"Nowhere that doesn't stink of contempt." Luis replied when Isaac asked him if he knew anywhere. It was true, the only places he knew around the school were the areas where herds of students would glare. Isaac would probably know some places to listen to his punk music without getting caught and whatnot. Luis didn't really care what they did outside lessontime. It was their lives. Anyway it was apparent that Isaac wasn't comfortable with the bleachers. Which meant the courtyards would be of no use. It was still concerning to him why Isaac had such an interest in him, or putting him in the infirmary, he wasn't sure which yet. A big guy like him could probably kick his ass all the way to Asia. The thought really didn't bother Luis. He was just doing a job that paid the bills. Every job had hazards.
"You don't want to hang out with your friends in the student lounge?" he asked curiously. A guy like him, a guy that could take care of himself, well, obviously had to have friends. With his muscles too probably a girlfriend. Not that Luis was looking, obviously.

Isaac raised an eyebrow and smirked. He definitely did not look likle the piano playing type but the thing was, all he really played was classical music when it came tot he piano. He couldn't really do anything too crazy or heavy on it because it was what his mother loved. It was her baby and he didn't want to desecrate it with his loud, disorganised tunes.
"Hey, I play like a fucking angel, okay!?" he joked, the smirk making it obvious, the the truth was still there, right underneath the surface. It was a bit of a jaxtaposition but it worked for him. No one would ever picture it but Isaac could actually play. It was the first instrument he learned and although he started late with music, he picked it up incredibly quickly.
"Huh," the sound escaped his lips as he looked up at the man, as though he was analysing him and had found exactly what he expect yet was still surprised by it. Luis sure had some issues. He was pretty negative when it came down to it and he had a world-hating view that most here would envy.
"Okay, I'm sure I can come up with something," he said with a nod, he could probably think of a place or two that might work but he would need a moment.
"Friends, yeah right," Isaac said. There wasn't anyone here he'd call a friend. He had friends back home and so far he hadn't bothered to put that much effort into finding friends here. There were a lot of people that he got along great with but no one he was all that close to.

Thinking about it, it probably made more sense than he originally thought. He'd not seen Isaac with anyone, not a soul. Not in a hanging-out sort of way anyway. "Fuck em and chuck em then?" he asked casually with a light shrug. He spoke in very adult language but he could cuss as much as the next student. Especially in front of students that seemed to need somebody on their level rather than people that acted ten times larger. Which, as they had established, Luis was not. Height was one of the few things about Isaac that Luis knew for certain anyway. That and he played some instruments. It was probably the best way to go about it. Keeping students at a distance, especially the attractive ones. At best he'd get a 'thanks for caring' and worse... he dreaded to think with students such as these. Perhaps dropped into an active volcano tied to an elephant.
He never wanted to go, if it meant that he could have a relationship in his life, but he knew that eventually, he'd have to go to class, and so would she/he or get on with whatever they did with their day. And if the two of them disappeared randomly together, rumours would start going around and they'd be targeted by bored students. Plus he had no stable life to give anyone. So he didn't think of himself as an extended invitation. Just a man trying to repress a desire for intimate contact by taking it out on the dozens of students that he taught every day. It mattered to him if he made it through the day, but not in a living life kind of way. More like what-is-this-thing-we-call-happiness type of way. One day the reality of the situations he'd been given in life might affect him. For now he was eager to keep it buried inside him for noone to find.
Luis looked at Isaac inquisitively while he was thinking of somewhere for them to go. It didn't take amazing effort to find somewhere that wouldn't draw attention so he left him to it. He knew the grounds far better than Luis did. "It's cool if you want to postpone. I have class in like a half hour anyway. Are you skipping class tomorrow?" he asked neutrally, it was up to Isaac whether he wanted to attend. All Luis could do was dish out the deserved grades. If students didn't get an A+ when they hardly showed up all semester, that was their problem. Not his. The other faculty members did a much worse job. Fear at least motivated a good percenage of his students even if a lot of them rebelled. Luis was glad of that.
"And hey, why not call me a friend, a short friend that makes it his job to annoy the fucking hell out of you in class?" he suggested, raising his eyebrows. What a wierd friendship that would be.

Isaac had to chuckled a bit at the words that came out of his teacher's mouth. "Well damn, maybe you don't have a stick up your arse after all," he said with a smirk. The guy always seemed so into the rules and here he was saying a word like 'fuck' so casually like it wasn't a big deal.
"Nah, not even that. No one here's really my type, ya know?" Isaac admitted. "What about you? Got a girlfriend or something?" he asked, looking him over. There was definitely not a wife due to the lack of a wedding ring but a girlfriend was a real possibility and technically it should be easier for him since he wasn't one of the crazies that was locked up in this place.
"Guess you skipping class would be out of the question?" he asked,. knowing the answer already. Luis was a responsible adult, those were fairly predictable when it came down to it. Besides, he was the teacher and he was getting paid to be there so skipping was no a possibility, still it seemed like such a waste for some reason.
"Probably. I don't like class rooms. Get distracted too easily," Isaac admitted, as he glanced up at the sky for a moment. So perhaps there was a reason he skipped. No one in sitting around and letting kids think he actually went to his classes if he couldn't even learn anything in them. In Luis' class, Isaac usually spend his time picturing the man naked but hell, he wasn't going to tell him that.
It was strange admitting to a teacher that he was going to be skipping his class but then if Isaac had the opportunity, he probably would have done it with his other teachers too. He didn't really care about that, it was easier to just be honest about it.
Isaac just laughed. Well that was something. A teacher as a friend? It sounded like a pretty crazy idea but Luis wasn't so bad. He was proving Isaac wrong at every turn. "I guess that could work," he told him, looking a little thoughtful as he considered it. Having only 30 minutes, he figured there was no point in looking for a place to go, they could just talk here.
"Wanna know a secret?" Isaac asked, looking up at him. If he was going to take the friend route then why not tell him. "All the homework I apparently haven't done for your class.. Is actually sitting in the drawer of my desk," he told him, wondering what Luis might do with that knowledge or what he might think.

"I appreciate you saying that" Luis drawled out with stretched pronounciation. How else were you meant to react when a student realized you were human? He must've liked Luis a little, considering he asked Luis if he had a girlfriend. That wasn't something students were usually in any eagerness to know. Luis was a young adult, but with all his extra maturity it didn't necessarily indicate he had any less of a sexual mind. "Nah. Tried that already. Women just aren't for me." he replied, quite satisfied with that reply. It wasn't revealing too much but still answered the question.
He chuckled at Isaac's next question. "As awesome as that'd be. I get paid to listen to a sea of students come up with witty reasons not to work. I think I get the better end of the deal." a deep chortle escaped his throat. He was surprised that Isaac had made friends with him so easily, he seemed like the type to have trouble socially. Maybe there was something between the both of them that just sort of clicked together. "Wow, excellent. My first student-friend." he nodded with approval.
Luis was puzzled at the next thing he said. "So why do you do the assignments if you aren't going to hand them in?" he asked curiously. He knew it was all well and good him studying but doing the specific assignments only to not get credit for them, seemed somewhat unusual. "I'll wait for you after class if you want to hand them in without the class seeing?" he offered, in case it was a reputation thing. He was being honest with Luis which was refreshing. Honesty at all, whether it was at school or personally, was something Luis had never been given in large quantities. He'd ended up being arrested because of bias in the workplace and he had to put those pieces together himself. With Isaac it was like he was giving him the pieces, Luis was trying to put them together.

"Women aren't for you?" Isaac repeated. Well, hell, did he have to go an indicate a potential attraction to men? Did he really have to make himself more appealing? It really wasn't necessary but alright, Isaac wasn't about to complain.
Isaac just grinned. He was usually one of the students causing all kinds of hell but he never really cared to think about what it'd be like on the other side of it. It was pretty selfish but then no one really thinks about that when they're in school.
Isaac smirked. 'student-friend', it sounded weird but then he didn't really see things so black and white. He liked the gray area quite a bit and to him, Luis had been a teacher and nothing more but now he was just this guy who happened to teach law.
"Um," Isaac began, looking away as a hand rubbed the back of his neck while he thought up a good excuse. "I dunno," he said, though he knew it probably wouldn't be good enough. "What's the point, I don't go to class anyway.. So.. if I actually did the homework, wouldn't you think it was weird?" he suggested, it made sense to him but then he was a little out there with his thinking sometimes.
"Nah, it's not that, who cares what they think," Isaac said, but then he did care sometimes. He went out of his way to put on his heavily crude and occasional jerk-like image and half the time it wasn't him at all. There was a happy medium somewhere but he couldn't find let alone reach it.
"I dunno.. I just thought that maybe no one would believe I actually read or studied anything so why bother, right?" he said, though what he meant was that Luis, the teacher, wouldn't believe it. Isaac really had no faith in teachers anymore. The ones at his old school had been such bad examples.
"To be honest, I thought the case you went over last week was really interesting," he told him. "The closing argument was brilliantly done and I'd have believed it myself if it weren't so bloody obvious that the guy was guilty," Isaac said with a shrug. He talked about it like he had actually read the court transcripts and he had. The lesson was just on that type of case, with it being an example. The transcripts were extra reading material that no one was ever expected to actually look at let alone read and understand.
