[ Amanda had decided to go to the picnic area, it was cold and most people stayed inside. The only ones who came out were weirdos and she was fine with weirdos. Weirdos were entertaining and they weren't as scary as the normal people. Which seemed odd yet true. Amanda would hang out with a complete crazy person then a normal person. Cause crazy guys didn't try to hit on her, that was what normal people did that.
But she didn't feel like bring her guitar, her fingers would fall off cause it was so damn cold. So she wrapped herself in warm clothes and gloves and headed out of her room. She hadn't really ran into Hope as much as she used too. It was saddening but good for when she snuck out of the room like this moment in time.
Not that it was really sneaking, it was the middle of the afternoon, but there was no need for questions. Especially when everyone knew Amanda stayed inside most of the time. So her leaving was an oddity and she was sure Hope would question her. But Amanda just felt less scared to go and do things nowadays.
So when she made it to the Picnic tables, realizing too late she really had nothing to do. So she just sat at a table and leaned her head against the table as her music blared in her ears. It was so loud that she wouldn't be able to hear anyone behind her or anyone anywhere.

Please note that both Nicole and Gabriel are not real, but just hallucinations. It would appear that Adrian is talking to himself, which he technically is...
Three metal triangles flew through the air and implanted themselves in a tree trunk with a satisfying 'thunk'. "You're getting really good at this!" Nicole cheered from the sidelines, while Gabriel just sighed, shaking his head at his girlfriends enthusiasm. Adrian still couldn't figure it out; a few weeks ago, Gabriel would have tried to crush Nicole's skull with a rock, but then they suddenly loved each other. It was way beyond creepy. At the same time, it was pathetic - his imaginary friends hooked up, leaving his love live empty.
Adrian shook his head as he yanked the darts out of the tree. He had made these darts out of scrap metal he found lying around, but then realized how much they resembled ninja stars, so he decided to use then as weapons instead. At this fucked up school, you needed something to help you survive. Some used money, booze, drugs; anything someone else wanted. In special cases, some used their vaginas. Adrian had none of these (especially the vagina part), so he decided to have a weapon. He slipped the stars back into the belt he had modified to conceal his potentially lethal scraps of metal. More than once he had screwed up on the design and ended up stabbing himself every time he sat down.
Turning around, Adrian noticed Amanda sit down on one of picnic benches. Those benches were dripping; her ass was probably soaked (WOAH, where the fuck did that come from?). He vigorously shook his head, dispelling the dirty thoughts. He liked Amanda, she was cute, didn't take shit from anyone, and apparently Adrian was one of the only boys that didn't scare the crap out of her. He noticed that she was listening to her IPod full blast and decided to make a dramatic entrance.
There was a tall tree overhanging the table - the trunk out of her field of vision. 'A quick decent from above, that would work.' He thought, sneaking up to the base. "You're going to hurt-" Nicole was cut off by Gabriel's hand being placed over her mouth. "Shhhhh, this looks like it will be enjoyable." He mumbled, watching Adrian work his way up the trunk and along the branch. His foot brushed some leftover snow and it would have given away his position if he hadn't swiped down and scooped it out of the air. 'All right, score one for me!' He thought happily. Then he fell out of the tree. Don't worry, the picnic table ten feet down broke his fall. He landed flat on his back, driving all the air from his lungs. He looked over at Amanda. "Hey." He managed to croak out, gasping for breath. 'Dramatic entrance - check.' He thought weakly, mentally slapping himself. Nicole and Gabriel calmly sat on both sides of Amanda. "I'm not going to help you, cause then you won't learn anything." Nicole muttered, while Gabriel gave Amanda a "yo", knowing full well that she couldn't hear him. Amanda had been lost like usual in her world of music. Though she was thinking about which frett's her fingers would be on to play the songs and what noise would come out of it. Ah, it was the only time Mandy was truly happy. With her loving music. So she didn't even notice Adrian until he was on the table in front of her. She picked her head up after the loud bang that she heard over her music. She gave him a quirk of her brow as she paused her music and laughed. "Nice entrance," she mused as she slid her Ipod into her pocket. She felt better having someone near her, less bored then she was two minutes prior.
She tilted her head slightly, contemplating leaving or helping, she decided to choose the latter and stood up, grabbing his arm and pulling him up before smiling at him. "Let's hope you do not have a headache," she said with a laugh and shook her head. "Couldn't find a better way to tell me you were there? Had to go and hurt yourself," she sat back down in her spot. "you might have headache for awhile, but i'm sure you don't have a concussion though you might not want to go to sleep anytime soon, just in case."
She shrugged, like all that was common knowledge, though she knew pretty darn well no one remembered anything from class and definitely not random knowledge she read from medical dictionaries and things. Hell she had to read something when she was bored and her mom had copies off them around the house. Apparently her father wanted to be a doctor or something. She didn't really have any real cool. "But other then harming yourself. What have you been up to?"

Adrian groaned as Amanda commented on his smooth entrance. "Thanks. I try." He said, making sure he hadn't broken any bones by wiggling his fingers and toes. After Amanda helped him to his feet, he rubbed the back of his head. Everything felt normal, so he went to go sit with Nicole and Gabriel. "Scoot over." He muttered, trying to make room. "No." Nicole said plainly. "Sit with her. For extra effect, she pointed over to the empty seat beside Amanda. "...I hate you." He sighed, sliding in beside Amanda. "Uhh... Sorry, not you." He said, realizing that it sounded like he just said 'I hate you' to his non-existent friend.
Adrian raised an eyebrow in surprise as Amanda listed some medical facts involving concussions and stuff. "You studying to be a doctor?" He asked, scratching the back of his neck. "You seem to know a lot." He glanced over as Gabriel and Nicole kissed and rolled his eyes in mock disgust. "I've been doing target practice with my 'ninja stars'. He said, pulling his shirt up a few inches to reveal his belt. "But, even then..." He raised his shirt another couple inches to show his scars. "How 'bout you?" He asked, dropping his shirt back in place. TAGGED: Amanda WORD COUNT: About 200 NOTES: …

Amanda gave Adrian a shake of her head, why did he have to be so adorable and innocent looking? She liked it better when she was afraid of men, it was easier on her. She had no conflicting feelings around Adrian, she finds him funny and hilarious. Though she gets the little urges to run away and scream, then she realizes that he's harmless and calms down until another round of freaking out goes through her system. Today it was calm and she decided to enjoy the little bit of unboredom she can have hanging with Adrian, instead of in her room. With or without Hope.
She tilted her head when he started talking to himself, but it was better then him harming her so she shrugged it off. Then when he said 'I hate you,' her brow rose. She wasnt' sure if he was talking to himself or her, and she didn't want him to hate her. So she was prepared to ask the reasons behind this when he said not her, then she breathed, though she had no clue she even held her breath. Smiling she shrugged, "Something like that. I thought about it once or twice." She ran a hand through her hair, and watched him lift up his shirt. She had started to scoot away until she saw the stars and sighed, before smiling. "Sounds like a good time to spend your day." She had taken a self defense class, it showed her nothing about self defence. She practiced knife throwing, hence the knife she kept with her at all time, though her knifes were all normal old knifes she either stole from the kitchen or just snuck in.
When she saw the scars she nodded, when she first started knife throwing back at home she got a few cuts herself, she sucked at the begginging and she smiled. She pulled the knife out of her pocket and shrugged,"Best self defense." She laughed lightly,"Avoiding my roommates."

Adrian made a little disgusted face as he thought about what being a doctor would entitle. "I could never be a doctor. Too much cutting stuff open, not enough creativity." He explained, fiddling with his ring. It wasn't anything really special, just a band of metal that he polished. A chilly wind blew through leaves above their heads, causing the leftover water droplets on the leaves to drip of onto his head. "Gahhh!" He exclaimed, shaking the water out of his hair.
Trying to ignore the water running down the back of his neck, Adrian turned his attention to Amanda's knife. "A NEW CHALLANGER APPEARS!" He bellowed in a deep announcer’s voice. "Would you like to have a little contest?" He asked, pulling one of his stars from his belt and twirling it in between his fingers. TAGGED: Amanda WORD COUNT: About 140 NOTES: Blarg crappy post

Amanda quirked a brow and shrugged, “I guess I’m more of a man then you.” She winked to show she was obviously just kidding, she would never be that mean. “Blood and Guts is all the glory and cutting people up can be some fun too.” She never knew what she wanted to do these days, she had thought about majoring in psychology, but after being in this place, she cared little about how the human brain worked. Now, she much rather see the insides, it’s a lot easier then handling with the outsides.
She tried to stiffle a laugh when water fell on his head, “Nice Addy.” She scooted over slightly when he shook his head, water splashing on her. “You aren’t a dog and I don’t want to be wet,” she said, though as the words came out her mouth, she realized how stupid she sounded. Her ass was already wet from sitting on the wet cold picnic tables.
She quirked a brow at his announcer’s voice and laughed, that seemed to be a reoccuring thing when she was around Adrian. He was funny and well, she couldn’t help but laugh, she had a sense of humor, even if sometimes people would think different. Though when he pulled out his stars, she smiled and stood up, wiping at her pants and frowning. She should of thought this through. She sighed before turing back to Adrian, “You are on.” She smirked, and held her knife in her hands, this was the only one she had on her, but it’ll have to do. It was one of her favorites, the same one she pushed into the stomach of the guy back home. But that wasn’t something she openly admitted to, and she didn’t’ plan on telling Adrian. “Let’s go,” she said with a smirk, “If you can pay attention with me standing here.” She shook her head, she never said anything like that before, but she felt like distracting Adrian, it just seemed like a fun little game.

Adrian gave a smirk as Amanda questioned his manhood. "Unless I'm mistaken, I'm the only one here with a penis, not including him." He stated, jerking a thumb toward Gabriel. "Would you like to prove me wrong?" He asked sarcastically, as both Nicole and Gabriel looked up from their passionate kissing, decided nothing interesting was happening, then happily resumed making out. Adrain glanced at them and thought about introducing Amanda to the duo, but ultimately decided against it; he would look like even more of a freak than he already did.
Adrian picked up a couple of twigs and used them to set a line about twenty feet from the tree he previously fell out of. He raised an eyebrow as she spoke. It almost sounded like she was flirting with him. He decided to play her game and made a snap decision. "Ohhhh, I don't know. I mean, your dripping ass is very intriguing." He smiled as he checked the distance between the line and the tree. "Tell you what, we'll make it even more interesting. Loser buys a hot beverage for the winner." Adrian stuck out his hand for her to shake. TAGGED: Amanda WORD COUNT: 200 NOTES: NIPPLE MUNCHER

Amanda looked to where Adrian was pointing, quirked a brow and decided he was insane. Not like she didn't already know that, it was probably one of the reasons she liked him so much. He was ACTUALLY insane and not some stupid poser who had drinking or drug issues. Those people pissed her the fuck off, plus Adrian was surprisingly sweet for an insane dude.Laughing she gave a shake of her head, "I believe you." .
Adrian's next words made her pause, she had no clue how to respond. Flirtatious banter was usually not Amanda's style, at all. She expected him to just shut up or something, apparently that wasn't how things worked. Oh well, maybe if she paid more attention to how people acted, well she'd be in less of an unusual predicament. Realizing she waited too long to respond, she decided to ignore the comment, rolling her eyes and answering to his next sentence.
Something she was good at, a challenge. And one she knew if she tried, could probably win. Or well she hoped. "Deal," she said taking his hand and shaking, suddenly feeling an odd tingle in her stomach before quickly pulling her hand away and wiping it on her wet pants. Her hands were shaking as she stood behind the line Adrian set up and pulled out her knife, and tried willing her hand to stop shaking. It didn't work, but she refused to stand there like an idiot, so she leveled it and flung it at the tree, already knowing before it left her hand, that it wouldn't stay. And she was right, it bounced off the tree and she frowned. Mentally kicking herself she grabbed the knife off the ground and watched Adrian, realizing she'd be using the last little bit of cash to buy him his one damn drink.

Adrian leaned against the picnic table, ignoring the moaning noises behind him. Apparently his sudden outburst made Amanda very uncomfortable, for she flung the knife at the tree like her arm was on fire. Which hopefully wouldn’t happen anytime soon. As expected, the knife harmlessly smacked against the tree and fell to the ground with a not-so-satisfying thud. “Ohhhh, good shot.” He stated sarcastically, smirking in sympathy. Suddenly spinning around, he smashed his fist into the side of Gabriel’s head. “Shut up, will you?” He muttered, rubbing his knuckles.
Adrian, ignoring Gabriel’s unconscious body, walked over to the line and stared at the target tree. Three stars were flung at the tree and lodged close together. He smiled and plucked them from the tree, slipping them into his belt. “If you like, you could take another throw and I could turn around…” Adrian offered, trying to be a gentleman. Amanda looked up from the spot on the ground where her knife feel, and frowned slightly. Looking at Adrian as he threw___, she realized that maybe spending her money was worth spending a little more time with him. Of course she’d never admit such a thing, it was bad enough that she was even talking to him, no letting him in on that she had a stupid childish school girl crush on him. No that’d be the stupidest thing in the world.
Shaking her head when she realized he had thrown ___, and of course it stuck. When he turned around, her heart skipped a beat and a congratulatory look washed over her face. Processing his words, she decided it was better to lose once then lose twice, and she was sure she’d lose again with Addy so close. No there was no way she’d make another throw and embarrass herself further.
“No, you won fair and square,” she said moving away from the picnic table and moving towards him. “Let’s just get inside.” Running a hand through her hair she turned only slightly before looking back. “But first we need to get my room. I need to change and grab my money.” She wasn’t going to go anywhere with wet pants, and well they needed money, or well a hot drink was out of the question.

Adrian slipped the stars back into his belt as Nicole tried to revive Gabriel under the picnic table. "If you insist." He said, putting his hands up in surrender. "I just thought I could try to be a gentleman." Flipping a piece of wet hair from his face, he walked casually towards Amanda. "It just seemed you were slightly nervous." He gave a sly little grin as he passed her and headed towards her dorm.
"To be honest, I just wanted a few minutes of your time to ask you something." Adrian admitted, slipping his hands inside his jeans. A small knife emerged and he started on cleaning under his fingernails. "Something important." He haves a hand dismissively. "But that can wait until you take your pants off." Amanda shrugged as she watched Adrian with a half-smile on her face. She was completely nervous, and there wasn't any changing that. But not like she was going to admit it, even if it was the most obvious thing that's ever happened in her life. "Me. Nervous?" Rolling her eyes she followed him, keeping pace pretty well.
She quirked a brow when he mentioned asking something, "Uh. What?" Now she really was nervous, what kind of important thing did Adrian need to ask her? God she was now completely scared out of her ever-loving mind.
His next comment made her blush as they reached the dorms then her room. "Stay here," she said before closing the door behind her, and changing her clothes, grabbing her money and going back out. "Okay. So question huh?"

Adrian smiled as he leaned against the wall, waiting for Amanda to change her clothes. Slipping out his wallet, he looked at the ten twenty dollar bills he had found in an envelope outside the door. It had his name on it, but even though it had no ones return address on it, he was sure he knew who it was from. He closed it and slipped it back into his pocket just before Amanda came out of her room, sporting dry clothes. "You look nice." He said, ignoring her question. "Let's go. I know a nice little diner that has really good coffee."
A zippo and wad of paper were produced from Adrian's pocket as they walked to the diner. He rubbed his hand on the wet grass and carefully grabbed the ball. Lighting the ball gave the effect that Adrian was holding a large fireball. He smiled as he rolled it around on his hand. He could feel the water on his hand quickly evaporating and he swiftly flicked his hand away from his body, sending it flying into a tree trunk and breaking apart in a small explosion of ash. "Ahh, I love that trick." He rubbed his hands on his jeans to clean them as they approached the diner. "We're here." He stated, opening the door for Amanda

Amanda had been a pretty ecstatic girl when she was in picking out her clothes. She had to find the few good clothes she owned, they were of course, ones her mother had sent with her. She had never planned to touch them, keeping them packed under her bed. Of course she had never gone into that box until recently. Hearing Adrians words, she knew she succeeded, and then a soft blush appeared on her cheeks. Making sure her hair hid it as well as it could she smiled, "Cool."As they walked, she had watched Adrian with a soft smile, until his hand seemed like it was on fire. Frowning slightly, she made no move to help him, since he seemed pretty happy and content. Watching him hold it for a little longer then throwing it she couldn't help but laugh. "No. It's a stupid trick," she said with a shake of her head, though she couldn't help admit, it was pretty damn cool. As they approached the diner her smile brightened slightly, walking in she found a nice table near the window. Sitting down she crossed her legs, and leaned her head into her hand. "So you said something about a question," she said pursing her lips and tilting her head only slightly. The suspense was killing her and she couldn't take it anymore. If he waited anymore longer she might explode. words: two hundred thirty eight outfit: heretags: wolfie with addy notes: gah tell me already!
