Sometimes Harlow wondered what horrible act she did in a past life to be cursed in this one. After all, on her own, a school project could easily be done in a matter of hours. But with a partner... well, that depended more on how quickly he was willing to do his part. They were all chosen at random, so she didn't even get a chance to take part in this lovely disaster. Oh well. Looking down at her assignment, her bright blue eyes darted over the name again until she committed it to memory:
Tyler Lucas.
She didn't know as much about him as she liked. Not because Harlow was the type to befriend everyone, since she wasn't, but because she liked to know the people around her. What they were like, what made them tick, simple things like that. Tyler was a name that turned up blank for her. So gathering her class notebook and a pen, the brunette headed out towards the male dorms. She was reluctant about working with someone else, if only for no other reason than the fact that she liked her independence. It was one of the reasons why she didn't do relationships, along with trust issues and a whole other can of worms.
Blatantly ignoring the cat calls and various eyes checking her out during her trek down the narrow hallway, Harlow stopped in front of his dorm. It was only then that she turned her head with a slight smirk, acknowledging the cheeky boys that quickly turned shy and ducked back into their rooms, before looking towards her partner's door again. She lifted her hand and knocked firmly, reminding herself that this would be over with soon, but she still couldn't get over a nagging feeling...
The one that said that this was going to be one hell of an evening.
Good thing she had a spliff or two in her back pocket. She didn't know how he felt about drugs, nor did she care. For now she was good, since candy calmed her cravings. But it was only a matter of time.

Who cares if you disagree? You are not me
The lights were off and it was silent. Tyler hadnt been assigned a room mate yet so he still had it all to himself. Since he was new he wasnt worried about going to class just yet so he had taken the day off to sleep. Softly his ihome hummed out the contence of his ipod. He didnt listen to what most thought that he would. Instead of rap or hip hop or screamo his style was more alternative and maybe a bit of techno. The last song ended and the new one started. A soft piano played and "Gone" rang out its cords of sadness.
A single window lite the room but it was covered by a thick grey curtains tauntly pulled down. Barely any light crept through and the glimmers that did left thin lines on the floor and across the bed. It was warm and coozy in the room, it just invited you to sleep. Surprisingly thought it didnt smell and there was no clothes on the ground. Tyler had all his things picked up. He himself thought was laying on the bed sprawled out with his feet hanging off the edge. The covers were twisted around his body and tossed partially onto the floor. He only wore his long pj bottoms that hung loose to his long legs.
Tyler only woke at the sound of a nock at the door. Currently he was on his stomach but when he woke up, he slowly turned onto his back. It was about 2 in the afternoon and Tyler had no idea who it could be. Was it the new room mate? Some random person? or Was it a staff member coming to ask why he wasnt in class? Unlike all the other wierdos at this school didnt do the crazy shit. He never smoked, cut, or drank himself into oblivion. Yes occationally he would drink but never to be drunk.
Taking a big strech Tyler rose out of bed and went to the door. With a little more force then he intended he swung open the door and squinted his eyes out at the person standing there. What? His harsh words cut through the ice. It wasnt until after he said what, that he realized it was a girl standing infront of him. True he may have anger issues but he is still a gentle man. Feeling a bit self concious he ran his fingers through his bed head of a mess hair.
Sorry... Slowly he made a sweeping motion into the room. Come in? Tyler said it more like a question. He knew who this was now and he felt terrible. It was his partner for the project he was supposed to do. The one they got the partners for in class today.Unfortunatly it was the class that he had skipped, and along with that he couldnt remember her name.
For a couple secounds Tyler just stood there with the door in his hands and looked stupid. He felt bad about his harshness but instead of dwelling on it he was going to let it slid. Slowly he twisted to where the door was against his back and he walked back until he heard the click of it shutting. He wasnt sure what he could do so he just stood there. Waiting.

Harlow waited patiently, looking up only when the dorm's door was thrown open. Instead of being surprised or taken aback by the brash action, she was indifferent to it. She had never been a fan of first impressions, so she wasn't going to give him a hard time about it. Of course, he didn't know that, so she accepted his immediate apology to smooth things over with a light nod. If she'd had his number, she could have texted him or something beforehand, but she didn't. So she made a mental note to mention something about it later.
The first thing she noticed--after his messy head of hair--was that the room was almost completely dark. So either he was sleeping, or she had interrupted something... not seeing another person in there, she could rule out sex. Good. If he was anything like the other guys out there, then she would have to put up with him bragging for the next hour about how he 'got some.' But she wasn't going to peg him just yet. Not every guy was the same.
"Harlow," she spoke after a moment, noticing the small pauses and the uncertainty on his face. She didn't mind. Names were just names. It said nothing about the person. If anything, it really emphasized the parent's state of mind when they named their child and that was usually more on the amusing side than anything else.
"Okay," the brunette added as she stepped inside, squinting her eyes a bit as her eyes adjusted to the lack of light in the room. It was rather nice, actually. Her blue eyes darted about a bit, noticing the second thing: he was very neat. Harlow herself had a bit of a pet peeve about disorganization, so this was giving him an extra brownie point. Turning towards him with her notebook hugged against her chest, she gave him a slight smile to ease the tension that was clearly hanging in the room and looming over their heads like a black cloud.
Pulling out a duplicate of the assignment, Harlow extended it out to the male. "You didn't miss much, unless you enjoy the monotone voice of the professor," she remarked with a smirk, not at all surprised how her notebook was full of scribbles and doodles by the end of the day. It was all she could do not to stab herself in the brain with a pen.
