James had been watching Eliza all day. Something was off. He had made eye contact and she had looked away. The look you get when someone was trying to hide something. Small or big, he didn't care. Something was being kept from him and he wanted to know what it was.
Waiting for an opportune moment, James stalked the halls until she moved in the right direction. Moving across the hallway, he grabbed her arm, pushed a door open and pulled her into the room in one quick effortless motion.
Shutting the door behind her, the space was small and confined with shelves containing various items that hardly important enough for him to notice. "Hello" he, as though this were a perfectly normal conversation and standing so close in front of her as he kept her against the door was just what any normal person would do.

Eliza smiled as she was talking to a few of her friends in the hall. She looked over at James since she knew that he was watching her and she turned when they met eyes. As she was walking to her next class she felt someone grab her arm and as she was about to say something she was pulled into a small cramped room. As soon as she was in the room she heard the door click shut behind her. She turned and saw James. She sighed. She knew this was going to happen soon. Was she ready for it? Probably not. She knew that he could tell when something was up, and something was definitely up. ”Hey James” she said after he said hello. She was weary about being in the small room enclosed with James. Although she really shouldn’t be since of course he was protecting her. He had warned her about Aleksei but of course she had listened at first, but her attitude got the better of her. She had tested him, just like she tested James and it hadn’t turned out well. WORDS ;; about 200 STATUS ;; Finished TAGGED ;; james OUTFIT ;; hereNOTES ;;

James quietly watched the girl that he had grown quiet attached to. He was looking for small tell tale signs that something was definitely wrong. If it had been anyone else, James might have put on an act and pretended to care while he attempted to dig deeper and find out just what was going on but Eliza was different. She knew how things were with him and with them and there was no need for pretence.
“What’s going on?” he asked, his tone confidant and direct as he watched the girl through an icy blue stare, surveying her face for even the slightest of reactions to his words. He wanted to know if she was going to lie to him and he was ready to spot the little movements that would tell him that. He hoped she might just be honest and share but with Eliza, he wasn’t quite sure yet which it would be.
He kept his hands on the door at either side of her head as he looked down at her. He was much taller than she was but the girl never seemed to mind him towering over her like that.

She looked into his eyes at first, but then let her gaze drift down towards the floor. She knew that James knew something was up, could she help it? Of course not. He could read her body easily, but at least he didn’t know about the still healing wound on her neck. She could feel her heart picking up a few paces, but still keeping as calm as she could. ”I should have listened to you” she started. She moved her gaze from the floor to his chest. She didn’t want to tell him what really happened but she knew that he’d find out sooner or later. She knew that he wouldn’t leave her until she told him. But if she did tell him then there was the chance that she’d get hurt. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to risk that. ”Aleksei marked me.” she whispered her eyes once again drifting down to the floor. She didn’t know how James would react to this, let alone if he heard. She didn’t want him to hurt her, but she also didn’t want him to see it. It was still healing. James bit his lip hard, coming so close to drawing blood as he heard her words. It was to do with him, the very bane of his existence. He knew it. Somewhere deep down in the back of his mind, James knew this had something to do with Aleksei. He had hated the guy right down to the very core of his being and he waited to hear what that asshole had done.
His fist clenched into fists, tightening his grip as he left them against the door for the moment. She was trying to avoid it and unable to help himself he glared at her, eyes burning through her as he waited with all the patience he had. As soon as the words escaped her lips there was a loud crash beside her head as James slammed his fist through the door, harder than any sane person would, earning himself a severe dent in the door, though not going completely through the hard wood, as well as bleeding knuckles.
Pushing away he turned around. He didn’t even want to look at her. She was tainted, she was ruined and at the hands that the one person who seemed to inspire such pure hatred without even trying. How could she let him do that?! What was she thinking?! He would have to get rid of her now that she was ruined. James paused at the though. Where was this mark? He needed it off her now. He needed it erased and removed from her this very moment!
“Where?!” he asked angrily, slipping a hand into his pocket only to pull out a switch blade and flipping it open as he took a step back toward her, ice cold blue eyes staring at her relentless and unblinking.

Eliza jumped slightly when he punched the door. She quickly shut her eyes and felt her heart begin to race. Great. This was just where she wanted to be. Stuck in a small room with a sociopath. As she looked at the newly dented door she saw smears of blood. He had broken open his knuckles. She let her hands move to covering her mouth as to keep all noises in. When he turned around she didn’t know what to do. She wasn’t sure if he was pissed at her or just at Aleksei, though it was probably her. She had let Aleksei mark her, though she really had tested him at first, then he kinda pinned her, then she wasn’t going to tell him that she lied and she didn’t want him to mark her. She would probably have gotten hurt at that point. Not something that really interested her. Her heart beat quickened once more as he turned back towards her and asked her where it was. ”The back of my neck why?” she asked. She then knew why when he pulled out his knife and took a step towards her. She let her hands drop to her sides and she shook her head. She didn’t like this situation at all. She felt her heart begin to race once again as well. WORDS ;; about 250 STATUS ;; finished TAGGED ;; james OUTFIT ;; hereNOTES ;;

James was absolutely livid. He eyes had long since glossed over in anger. He wasn’t even capable or calming down or pretending to care. He was anger and he wanted things to be right again. He need them to be perfect in his little world and he hated that Aleksei had just come right in and ruined it all.
Gripping the knife tightly, his finger felt numb against the steel handle. It was almost as though he were trying to squeeze it to oblivion but it was just an outlet for some of that anger and rage.
When she spoke, he practically lunged forward and pulled her hair at the base of her neck before turning her around and moving so that he could get a look at what horrors would be there. He glared for a moment but seemed to calm down just a fraction. A rose?! He could have laughed. What sort of a stupid mark was that? It was ridiculous.
How that that suppose to represent him? Did he like to be identified this way. Should he think of dear old Aleksei everytime he saw a delicate little flower? HAH! It was laughable and James just smirked as he loosened his grip on Eliza’s hair and merely crossed out the carving before letting go of her completely.
Retracting the blade, he threw it back in his pocket and held her by the shoulder, almost lovingly as he switched on the act and turned up the charm and care factor.
“Are you alright?” he asked in a sweet voice, his eyes even showing a hint of feigned compassion. “I hope I didn’t scare you,” he said, before moving a hand to the side of her face, caressing it gently before leaning in to give her a light kiss.

Eliza let out a small gasp as he pulled her hair and turned her around. She let her hands rest against the door. She felt him pause for a minute. What was he thinking? She wasn’t sure. She didn’t know how much trouble she was in right now. She closed her eyes and thank god she did, because about a second later before he loosened his grip and dragged the blade across her skin a simple two times, but it still pulsed pain through her body. She had just been cut there a few days ago, a little less than a week and needless to say it was still sore from that time. She slightly flinched as the held her shoulder. She didn’t want to be near him right now if he was still pissed. She didn’t want to get hurt anymore, but of course that wasn’t an option. As soon as he asked if she was alright she kinda nodded. She wasn’t going to tell him that her neck was still pulsing with pain since of course he had ripped off some of the scabs that had been healing. Thank god the hickey that Aleksei had left had also disappeared, otherwise she probably would be dead. She shut her eyes when she saw his hand coming towards her face. When he finally just caressed her cheek she opened her eyes again and kissed him back. ”To be honest, I was scared. You with a knife, if pretty deadly though” she said as she leaned against his chest. She hoped that he wasn’t faking any of this. She still seemed to fear him but that was understandable. In fact, James actually liked that fact very much. He liked having her be afraid of him, it meant that she would think twice before doing something stupid to anger him again. She had learned her lesson and he was satisfied with that which was why he felt fine with being nice to her now.
“I know,” he said, stroking her hair in a comforting way as he held her. “But it’s all over now,” he said soothingly, even leaning in to kiss the top of her head and he held her protectively in his arms. He had wrote his reply to Alek’s message and that was enough for him.
James couldn’t help but smirk at the thought. He wanted the guy dead but this would no doubt anger him. It was a chess game and James had made his move. Now there was nothing to do but wait. It was too bad that his little toy had to be a pawn in this game. He would have liked to have kept her to himself but it seemed that wasn’t an option now. Alek was going to try to take her away and James wouldn’t have any that.
“We could go to the infirmary if it still hurts, maybe fake a headache and get you something for the pain if you need it?” he asked, looking down at her, blue eyes that were once cold and stoic were now kind and compassionate.

Eliza shut her eyes when he held her. She nodded when he said that it was all over. Thank god. She didn’t want to deal with that anymore. She was trying to calm her heart down. She knew that she was still useful to James, at least she still hoped so. Besides she still had his mark on her, and his had basically healed fully, and left a nice scar. She shook her head against his chest as he said that she could go to the nurse and complain of a headache. She didn’t want to go to the nurse unless absolutely needed. She hadn’t seen the nurses office yet, and hoped not to. She would just deal with the pain. Sadly she would have to. Although he could have taken her shaking her head as if the pain wasn’t that bad that she would need medicine. ”Its fine” she whispered against his chest. James just watched her with a blank stare. Anyone else might have the decency to feel sorry for her but not him. He just watched her with slight interest, noting down her movements and reactions for later use. She was so pretty when she was scare but he liked it, even now when she was falsely led to believe he was safe. Her calm fueled his inexplicable need to control her.
He had managed to make her think that he was the better of the two when he was no different from Alexsei. The guy went about things in a different way, there was no doubting that but James was certain there was the same drives and motivations there with only the slightest differences.
"Are you feeling better now?" he asked, tone was warn and tipped with concern but his face showed no emotion onl;y because she wasn't looking up at him at the moment and thus there was no need to put in the effort of faking it. She need only look up to spot it but James didn't think it mattered too much. He told her he would keep her safe and that was true... for the most part. It only took one tiny flaw in his plan, one little mistake for it to all turn around like it almost had just moments ago but she still seemed to feel safe with him and fooling her gave him some sick sense of joy.

Eliza was finally calming down. He had put away his knife already, so she didn’t need to worry about it anymore. She knew that since he didn’t kill her that she was obviously still useful to him. She knew that Aleksei and James were alike, but still James seemed to care for her. Even if it was fake. Eliza nodded when he asked if she was feeling better. She was, but the pain was still there. ”Its all better now right?” she asked. She didn’t want him to be mad at her, but she of course made if difficult. She still hadn’t told him everything, just that he marked her. ”You don’t hate me right?” she asked. She knew that she had made him mad, but hopefully everything was better. She didn’t want to piss him off again either. That was probably a bad idea for her to do in the first place. WORDS ;; about 150 STATUS ;; finished TAGGED ;; james OUTFIT ;; hereNOTES ;; eww short

"Of course," he told. Yes, it was all fine for now but it only took a spilt second for that to change again. Taking her hand, he rubbed it gently as though she was someone he cared about, like this was some kind of relationship. His knuckled still had cuts in them but James was ignoring it. It wasn't of great importance and could be dealt with later. It wasn't as though he risked getting it infected or anything or what did it matter?
Still, the girl seemed to need more conforting and that was mildly annoying to James but he went right along with it as he thought it out. "Of course not," he told her. Lies. All lies. He did hate her a little and very slowly becoming detached. He knew he was going to lose her in this game but it wasn't about her. She was a sacrifice he was willing to make and then he could go about finding a new pet.
This school was filled with all sorts, even those who had such low self esteem that they might leap at the change to get that fake affection. It was something that he could think about doing later but for now he still had her and she was still salvagable.
Still, she had asked if he hated her and that was bad. That was bad because it could only mean she thought she had done something worthy of being hated over. If Alek had forced it on her then yes, she was a victim was not at fault but for her to ask such a question, it made him wonder what her part in it all was. He knew to suspect the worst but James didn't want to get that mad again so he let it slide... for now.

Eliza smiled when he said that it was all fine. She was happy that he obviously wasn’t that mad at her to begin with, if he was at all. She was at least happy that he wasn’t taking out the rest of his anger on her. That would be bad. When he took her hand she looked up at him before returning her head to his chest. When he said that he didn’t hate her she smiled again. She didn’t want him to be mad at her, since she had let Aleksei mark her. She knew that she was James’ first and decided to test another sociopath. Maybe she was addicted to the pain that being marked caused? She didn’t want to be, but of course that would be a possibility. She sighed. She knew that she had fucked up, but if James knew the whole story she probably would be dead. Figuring she had kinda caused it, and then did the same thing with Aleksei that she had with James after he marked her. ”What do you want to do? Now that its all sorted out” she asked she she looked back up at him. She stepped back just a small step because she didn’t want to be clingy. Certain people were that way, she was not. It was unusual that she seemed alright with being treated like this but James suppose it was the pretending to care bit that kept her coming back. He decided that it had to be because no regular jane would want to be a pawn in a silly little game. James and Aleksei were just two little boys in a sandbox, fighting over a tonko truck they found. Neither wanting to share. After a while it was inevible that it was more about them then the little toy they fought over and who would want to be that toy, getting tugged this way and that, thrown on the ground in anger before the inevitable fight between the boys and later forgotten altogether...
Well, judging by the popularity of Twilight, he supposed it wasn't that far fetched of an idea. Girls liked being fought over, perhaps she didn't realized that it wasn't about her anymore and did it matter? Not so much, no. James still knew he had some control over her so he would win in the end, until things took an unexpected turn.
James looked at her, perhaps right through her for a moment as he ran his hand through her her. He licked his lips before speaking, "I can think of a few things," he said before throwing in a slight smirk. He had laced his words with a seductive edge. He wanted to have her now, prove to he still owned her. He knew she got around but James wasn't in the mood to think about that. He'd just use her and move on at least until he could get back at Alek some how. Still, he had to wait for his move now.
