Nathaniel stood at the foot of his bed. He had been on a quick tour and seen most of what there was to see and his first day had gone well so far. After a warm meal he was back in his room and ready to get more comfortable and just lie in bed for a while.
He had no intention or going out and even attempting to socialize. Nathaniel liked it quiet and he liked to keep to himself but he knew to expect a roommate. He hoped that the inevitable meeting would go smoothly, a quick hello and then they might proceed to ignore each other for a while. That would be just fine with him.
It wasn’t that Nathaniel was anti-social or didn’t like people. In fact, he did like them, the problem was, getting to know someone was always difficult. He was much too quiet for his own good and was barely able to make a friend. Pulling off his shirt, Nathaniel hoped that this mysterious roommate would be nice enough and not someone with some crazy problem or anger issues.
He mulled over the possibilities of what this guy might be like and he pulled his jeans off and switched to much more comfortable sweatpants that hung low on his hips. A shirt, he decided was unnecessary at that point. Standing there, he rolled his shoulders back a few times. It was something he did at least once every day out of sheer necessity. Nathaniel hunched sometimes, it was more like he was trying to hide away from the world but he didn’t help his back too much and every now and then he would have to stretch it out and actually stand tall like he was doing at that moment as he faced the bed and away from the door.
