Amanda hated to be around people, it just wasn't something she enjoyed doing. People annoyed the crap out of her. Or at least most of them. Including some annoying females. But she was talking on the chat like usual, and she had to get away from her room. It was taking it's toll on her psyche.
So she ventured out, taking her notebook and guitar with her, hoping to get a good song out of this trip. So as she walked out of the dorms and into the freezing cold air(that she surprisingly didn't mind at all), she thought of where to go.
Not the garden or the pool, someone always seemed to be there to bother her. Okay so the time in the classrooms weren't horrible, but she didn't want to chance it at all. So deciding that maybe due to the cold air, no one would try to come to the lake. So she headed towards it.
As she neared it, no one seemed to be there. She parked herself on the grass near the water and started to tune the guitar. And then she began doodling that started to slowly become something more, and she let herself drift with the music. Ignoring all her other senses, she couldn't tell how cold it was, or who was there or even if someone was staring at her.
She was way to relaxed and way to far gone to notice anything.

'cause you left me police scene chalk line
tequila shots in the dark scene of the crime - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It sucked. She hardly had any long sleeve shirts, so she was bound to freeze eventually. Unless, ofcourse, she got used to the cold. Which she was sure that she would, eventually. If she were lucky. Hell, what was she trying to say? She would never get used to the cold. She was a beach girl, all the way. She couldn't stand cold weather. Send her back to Hollywood, Florida and she'd be happy. Well, for the most part.
Running a hand through her hair, Abrielle knew that she probably should have stayed inside. As much as she wanted to, however, she couldn't give up the chance to explore the grounds of Hawthorne. The outside of Hawthorne was beautiful; you have never expected that this place was for fucked up kids. So far, she'd seen the gardens, which she found to be a great place for her photography, and the courtyards. If she could find some models, she'd have an amazing portfolio going on for her photography, just from this school alone.
Yeah, she was a photographer. It was a dream of hers to open her own photography studio one day. She took okay pictures, she had to say. She'd been into photography since she was a little girl, even with just a small disposable camera, she'd tell people to be a model for her. As she was looking through the photos on her camera, she smiled a little bit. There were still pictures of her brother on here. She missed her brother dearly, and wished that he was still here. But it was because of her that he was gone now, but she knew that he was in a better place, and wasn't constantly worrying about her anymore. Abrielle looked up from her camera when she heard a melodic tune make its way to her ears.
She figured that she'd gotten lost in her thoughts, and didn't see where she was headed. Her blue-green eyes looked around her and she smiled lightly. She was at the lake; it was beautiful with all the white snow around it and the lake frozen solid. She set her camera to a black and white setting and took a picture of the lake, before looking around to see where the music had come from. She didn't have to walk far before she found who it was.
The girl looked oddly familiar to Abrielle, and it took her a moment to realize that it was a girl from chat. Amanda, she thought her name was. A soft smile made its way to the girls lips, and she rose up her camera, capturing a picture of Amanda playing her guitar. It was an amazing shot, she had to say. It was beautiful, and it would be even more when she uploaded it to her computer and put her photoshop skills to work. "Um, hello?" Abrielle's soft voice rang out, hoping to catch the girls attention. Hoping to make a friend out of this, as well.

Amanda sighed as the song disappeared, she hated when that happened. The inspiration just flew away and her hands fumbled on the strings and a scratchy noise came out and her happy smile turned into a frown. Yup her smile(which in and of itself is a rare sight) became nonexistent.
She hated when her musical inspiration disappeared, it made her feel empty inside. So she placed the guitar on it's case and looked up at the lake, it was pretty in a strange icy way. Some reason she wanted to ice skate, not that she even knew how, or saw anyone do it. People talked about it, but she was always stuck in her house cleaning or just staying away from everyone to actually try and do it herself. So(unknowingly) she walked towards the lake, not knowing that it would be a bad idea.
She stepped on it and slipped and fell. She glared at the ice, why did she have to not know anything. Trying to stand she slipped again. Groaning she scooted off the ice and back onto the solid snowy ground and laid down, angry at the world.
That was when she spotted Abrielle, the girl from the chat. The one that didn't annoy the crap out of Amanda. Which is saying something. Everyone annoyed the crap out of Amanda.
But instead of being happy, she felt embarrassed, and her first reaction to embarrassment is to hide it with anger. So she deepened her glare, stood up and stormed over to Abrielle. "Hey," she said, her voice as cold as the air around them. "I really hate this school sometimes."
