like all of the time, rudolph was bored and couldn't sleep (because of jeffree's animalistic snoring). it must have been eleven o' clock at night and the sky was pitch black, besides the luminescence from the stars and a few lamps the school had set up. wait, stars? rudolph looked up at the sky one more time, half confused by what he had just thought about. he wasn't crazy-- the sky actually had stars. the last time rudolph had seen that many stars was-- had he ever seen that many stars? no, he hadn't. and it was breathtakingly beautiful. rudolph had originally wanted to go on a walk, but he had decided to sit exactly where he was and stare at the sky. who cared if he got locked out of his dorm? it'd be like camping, only without a fire. rudolph had never even been camping before, but it's not like he really gave half a shit. he was gonna go camping because the stars were amazing and it was nighttime and it was beautiful. nothing like los angeles-- did rudolph even miss los angeles anymore? probably not. what was there to miss anyway? looking down on other people from apartments so far up, you got vertigo? the constant background noise of sirens and loud music from that douchebag hipster from down the hall? the fake christmas trees, the boob jobs on every corner? (rudolph did kind of miss the boob jobs, actually.) the disgusting beaches? the hollyweirdos? no, nothing. in los angeles, you were lucky to see twenty stars at night. rudolph had counted once, as a kid in that apartment his parents had downtown. rudolph always preferred their house. oceanside probably had the prettiest beaches in all of los angeles. even though it was closer to san diego than anything else, it still counted. once rudolph turned thirteen, however, their new home became downtown and they only spent the holidays and summertime at their home in oceanside. rudolph missed that house. if he hadn't fucked up his life so much, he'd still probably be there. but even in oceanisde, you couldn't see stars like this. or snow like this. yeah, it had been snowing earlier that day, and it snowed pretty hard. rudolph liked the snow and felt lucky that there wasn't any expected that night. his little "camping" trip would probably be a success. rudolph took a seat on a fountain. the water was off. he wondered at what time they did that, turned everything that made hawthorne actually pretty off? of course there was the snow and the stars, that couldn't be turned off-- but. the fountains. they seemed to haave just shut off. it would be a waste of electricity for them to be running all night long, but it would have been a beautiful waste of electricity. what the hell? a beautiful waste of electricity. rudolph was such a weirdo, i swear. as he sat there under the stars, looking up at them, he couldn't help but start thinking about everyone he'd met at hawthorne so far. a lot of people were completely obnoxious assholes, like eliza and alex. personally, rudolph wanted to punch alex in the face. he really couldn't hit eliza-- she was a girl. but if she was a guy, he totally would have had to beat her up. she was by far the worst. and then he thought about people that had actually been pretty cool. like hope and kobby and that one chick he made out with like ten minutes after meeting and max and rosie. and rosie. atta boy. outfit. @ mari with rooosie six hundred two words

rosie had planned to go to bed at 8:30 that night. she had been sleep deprived and convinced that if she fell asleep early enough, she would sleep through the constant jabbering of the people next door to her. every night this happened. they never ran out of things to talk about, and they talked about the silliest things. like bananas and the ocean and thongs and boys - oh, the boys! rosie didn't know everyone at hawthorne, but she certainly recognized a few names. she couldn't imagine talking about such things with her own roommate, annaleigh. in fact, she hadn't spoken to anna much, from what she knew the girl had an eating disorder like she did, but was very shy. rosie sure hoped they could make a connection soon, the only friends she had made at hawthorne so far were hope and rudolph.
rudolph! he was so nice, and extremely cute. it made rosie blush to think about him. she always felt stupid around him, or silly - and she had only been around him in a hawthorne academy chatroom. she hardly knew him, but his name brought a lot of memories to her, like the movie teeth, the fact that gay guys loved him, and his love for owls. she hadn't even met him in real life... what if she never did? he'd exist only in a chatroom. rosie wandered around the outside of the dormitories, the cold winter air biting through her thin cardigan. she wasn't dressed very nicely - pale pink pajama bottoms, a white t-shirt with a peace sign on it, and a gray cardigan, along with pink slippers. she couldn't take one more minute of her neighbors' weird chatter, she might as well get some fresh air to clear her muddled mind. no one was going to be out here, anyway - it was eleven PM on a cold winter night, everyone would rather snuggle in their beds.
rosie was nearing the courtyards, a particular place located within them in her mind. she loved the fountain a lot - the flowing, bouncy water was fun and calming. of course, rosie was interested in weird things. she listened hard for the sound of gurgling water, but nothing came to her ears. she shivered as bitter wind blew through, shaking the bare limbs of the trees that towered above her, casting dark shadows by the light of the full moon. the stars were so brilliant tonight, she was distracted by them as she walked along the icy ground. they reminded her of the stars she had seen in france. but didn't all stars look they same? maybe not. formations were different. she walked on, her bright blue eyes attached t the universe. she breathed in cool, deep breaths of air, feeling totally relaxed. the talk of her roommates was gone, it was silent out here.
she almost forgot about her destination. she had stopped listening for the sound of water. she was suddenly at the fountain, but she wasn't the only one. she gasped as she spotted a person - a boy - sitting on the fountains edge. a familiar boys. her heart rate quickened. "rudy!" she exclaimed. here he was, in person - not just an image on a chatroom. she looked horrible, too - her hair was just short of a mess. she hadn't expected seeing him tonight. but she knew why he was here. "jeffree snoring to loud again?" she guessed, remembering him complaining about it. hesitating for a moment, she sat down on to the ledge next to him and smiled goofily. she was glad to seem him in person - he was even cuter.
outfit n/a - basically pink slipper, pink pajama pants, white peace shirt, gray cardigan. six hundred and seventeen words bop bop

as rudolph sat under the stars and thought, he didn't realize that the very girl he was thinking about was less than eight seconds away. he didn't really worry about her being in, you know, the area. it was pretty late and rudolph assumed she'd be asleep. maybe not, though. she was always complaining about her chatty neighbors. rudolph wished he had chatty neighbors. anything was better than jeffree's snoring. the sound of jeffree's snoring ringing in his ears even bothered him thinking about it. rudolph wished he still had the room to himself. that he didn't have to deal with some tattooed up weirdo that liked drinking with eliza and snoring at night. rudolph sighed and quit looking at the stars-- wait what the fuck? rudolph saw a figure, a shadow, maybe about five or ten feet from him. he stopped looking at the snow on the ground for a second and lifted his face. " rudy!" she exclaimed! was it rosalie? holy shit, it was rosalie. what was she even doing? it was snowing outside and dark and cold and she was going to be locked out of her dorm if she didn't get back soon. she didn't even have a hat on! the only thing to keep her warm was a gray cardigan, hanging loosely off of her small frame. she sure was small. well, not small-small. she was thin, but she was almost as tall as rudolph was? why was she so thin-- oh. eating disorder, maybe? she had to be here for one reason or other. no matter how thin, she was graceful. she nearly ran over to him and sat down on the fountain, smiling that smile rudolph did when he was being stupid. she was hotter in real life than in the chat, that's for sure. after a moment of awkward, rudolph realized he should say something. " hey rosie!" he said, contemplating within himself whether it would be polite to hug her or not. she looked cold. that would be a good reason to hug someone, right? because they looked cold and because they were unbelievably gorgeous. yeah, rudolph decided that he would hug her. and so he did, and it wasn't as awkward as he thought it would be. rudolph wasn't really used to just hugging girls, yanno? yeah, yanno. was she cold? she looked cold. " are you cold?" rudolph asked, taking off his jacket to hand it to rosalie. hell, even he was cold. armed with only his pajama top and a pair of jeans, it'd be like seconds before the california native started to shiver. fuck involuntary motions. rudolph wasn't going to shiver. if he maybe thought of warm things, he definitely wouldn't shiver. okay, that was a bloody fucking lie. if there was anything he was going to do, it was shiver. that was a lie too, because he didn't. no matter how cold he was, rudolph couldn't bring himself to shiver. and so he was pleased with himself. maybe he was finally getting used to this warm weather and-- what the fuck did he just do. did he just give his jacket to rosalie? why did he give his jacket to rosalie. what the fuck rudolph, atta boy. outfit. @ mari with rooosie five hundred thirty nine words

rosalie felt her heart sink as rudy hesitated to say something. oh dear, was he mad at her? did he not like her as she thought he did? she flashed red, and considered walking away quickly, but rudy's voice brought her away from her worried feelings. it was her first time hearing his voice. it gave her shivers, but that could've been just the bitter, nipping cold. she sat down on the ledge next to him, giving him a happy, goofy smile. god, she was such a dork, he probably thought she was freak and was only being nice to her out of pity. he was too handsome for her, she felt shabby and weird next to him. too... thick next tom him. she had seen him staring at her body moments before, he must've been disgusted with her size.
suddenly, before she realized what was happening, she was wrapped into rudy's arms. he was... hugging her! she felt thrills run from her head to her toes. she hugged him back, he smelled sweetly, like sprite. she almost didn't want to let go, but he drew back, and she was once again freezing. sparks still flew in her heart, she was left nearly breathless. gosh, he was cute. he was too good for her. rosie didn't have time to respond to his question, he was already handing her his jacket before she even opened her mouth. she tucked her hands behind her back in smiled.
"i'm alright, you'll be cold without it. and, i don't want you to be cold." she said, even though she was literally freezing her buns off. maybe he'd hug her again, since she denied his jacket. that would be nice. oh, quit it rosie, he's just a friend. he likes you as a friend. she scolded herself, realizing the hug was probably just to warm her up. there was nothing going on here, just two friends sitting by a fountain in the middle of a January night. nothing weird. she looked up at the sky, small flakes of snow lilting down from the heavens. they landed upon her face and melted instantly, her hot skin thawing them withing nano seconds. she stuck out her tongue and caught a unusually large one on her tooth. the cold, burning sensation erupted, and her eyes widened. "ow! that was cold," she said, giggling a bit. she was such a freak. maybe he wouldn't mind.
short and kinda pitiful, sorry D: let's just be glad my computers on for the moment! cx
