hey you guys, it's hillary. <3 as you probably know, sy now has an in character chat. it's so much fun, right? quick, funny role playing that's easy as getting an icon and pressing refresh every three seconds. everyone loves iccing, as do i. but i read that some people in the icc enjoy it so much that they can't get to posts. this is a tutorial on how to prevent that from happening and how to fix that from happening. i was once on a lovely site called l&l with a character very similar to rudolph. in fact, rudolph is based off of him! c: and uhh, i was an icc addict. i only ever got four threads done on that site because the in character chat was so amazing. however, i've learned how to deal with getting nice, long threads done and being in the icc.
i recommend making a posting schedule. yeah, i know it sounds really weird, but it's not. anyone that has thread with me knows that i tend to try and reply to real threads in the early morning, afternoon, and dinnertime hours. this really works for me. i can get about two posts done in the time i've allowed myself each segment. that means i get two posts done in the morning, two posts done in the afternoon, and two posts done in the night hours. of course, i can only go through with this during breaks and weekends, but it's still one of the best ways to balance. during the average day, i can get about three posts done, depending on my muse. after school, right when i come home, i'll post. and then i'll icc while i do my homework. and by the time i'm finished with homework, it should be five or sixish and that's when i can post again. after i'm finished with those posts, i go back into the icc until i don't want to be in there anymore. but honestly, i can icc for hours on end.
i hope this helps anyone who feels like they're having this problem. <3
