It was dark, obviously after hours when Kobby left the security of his dorm room to go to the kitchen to get something to eat. He glanced around, not wanting someone to catch him. After all, he was only going to get something eat. There wasn’t anything wrong with that. He didn’t need a fix, he was still high from his last one though just barely. The lingering effects were there, but it was enough to hold him over till he had another chance to use.
He reached a stair case before sighing to himself and opening up the door to walk down the flights to get to the kitchen. It was annoying, having to always walk up and down the steps. They were long, and it took awhile to get through them sometimes and he had a feeling that it would tonight because he hadn’t eaten yet. They had served dinner awhile ago, but he hadn’t felt good then.
Spotting the kitchen he grinned before he heard voices around the corner.
“Fuck..” He muttered to himself before squeezing his somewhat large stature into a space to hide. He couldn’t hear what they saying, but by their voices he could tell they were staff here. He hardly wanted to deal with a staff member right now, so Kobby stood there for the long amount of time it seemed to take them to pass.
Sighing gently, he opened the doors to the kitchen and let out a breath. “Finally…” He muttered to himself heading towards the fridge.

Like every other night since she had been here, Lainey found herself out and about late at night. (Or was it early in the morning now?) It was beginning to become a habit of hers to sneak out of her dorm at night to simply wander around aimlessly.
As the brunette walked slowly down the empty hallways, her heels clicking on the hard floor she wondered if she would ever have a full nights sleep. It seemed like every time she would try and shut her eyes she would feel wide awake. Maybe she was just restless. The young woman was very used to being out every night until 3 or 4 in the morning partying but that wasn't the case here. People partroled to make sure that didn't happen.
The young woman froze. Voices. She looked around her brown hair whipping at her face. The only thing she was really close to at this time was the kitchen. Thinking quick she opened the door and slid into the room before shutting the door carefully behind her with a slight click. The woman pressed her ear to the door to try and hear what was going on in the hallway.
She heard the voices, probably teachers, pass by the door and she held her breath. As she heard the voices fade away down the hallway she let out a breath. 'Whew' she thought relieved. That was the closest she had gotten to getting caught since she got here.
The young brunette turned around to face the empty kitchen. Food sounded good right now. She may as well hang out here for now Tag: Kobby Outfit

Kobby made it to the fridge when he heard the door open behind him. He froze for a minute, thinking it was one of the staff coming back to check on a noise he might have made. In his head, he was thinking of a few different reasons why he was in the kitchens so late, obviously past curfew. But as he turned around, it was apparent that his excuses weren't needed. Only another resident.
He sighed gently, and pushing a hand through his hair opened up the fridge to see what was inside of it. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, probably just a cold cut sandwhicch would do. He bit his lip as he reached for a water bottle and waiting for the girl to say something. Kobby didn't know her, and he wasn't sure he wanted to. In this place, sex addicts seem to be popular and though he didn't know if she was one, it wouldn't surprise him.
Kobby hated the thought of casual sex, and trying to get out of the paws of a sex addict could prove difficult. She was pretty, but that could change when she started talking. If she started talking. Kobby decided he woudl let her talk first.

As Lainey walked further into the kitchen she looked around. Even though the brunette wasn't really "new" anymore, she had still never been down to the kitchen. Sure, she ate, but that was only at meal times and even then she sometimes didn't show up. It wasn't that she was anorexic or anything, in fact she could out eat most boys on a good day, she just didn't really enjoy spending a lot of time in social settings with people she didn't know. Yes, she went to parties back home, but they were usually with people she knew, at least in passing.
Having already been labeled a "sex addict," with is a bunch of bullshit if you asked her, some guys tend to assume she would have sex with them. Lainey wouldn't just have sex with anyone, well, not usually at least.
The young woman noticed a figure at the fridge, her first thought was to turn and run, in case it was a staff member, she had managed to avoid being caught out at night so far, but eventually her luck would run out, but upon further inspection she noticed that it was just another prisoner here.
She had never met this man before, but he was attractive. She wondered why he didn't say anything yet. Had he not noticed the door opened? That didn't seem likely. Most of the students here were very cautious when out at night she had noticed.
"Hello" She said having stopped walking once she noticed the man. "Late night snack?" the young brunette asked smiling.

"You could say that" He said pulling some stuff out of the fridge to make himself a sandwich. He turned around and sat at the counter as he looked at her. Yeah, she was good looking and so far she seemed nice enough but still, he didn't know anything about her. And no, Kobby wasn't really one to stay out of a social situation, but he could certainly be cautious like anyone else could. He felt that he had to be even more careful here, with all the crazies that lived here.
"And yourself?" He asked with a slight grinn attempting to be friendly

Lainey watched the man move around the kitchen. He really was attractive. She wondered why she hadn't seen him before. He obviously wasn't a 'goody' so she should have seen him around by now.
"Just wandering" She answered smiling back at the man. "Couldn't sleep, so i figured I would continue exploring this place" she said gesturing around the room. "Haven't actually been down here before."
The brunette's eyes stayed on the man. "I'm Lainey" She said still smiling.

"Yeah, I'm actually down here almost every night. I don't like eating with everyone else, the things they talk about annoy me" Kobby started to put things together to make himself a sandwich. Thats all he really eat anymore, were sandwiches. He liked them, and they could be really good for you if a person put the right things on them. Kobby was really into staying fit, so he always used Turkey and mustard to limit calories and lettuce to help fill him up.
"I'm Kobby" he said with a grinn when she introduced herself. Alright, so so far she wasn't that bad but he was still trying to keep himself prepared for a freak or something of the sort. He didn't know her, and just wanted to keep his gaurd up.

Lainey leaned up against a nearby wall. Kobby was a very closed off person. She didn't really understand. The young brunette was used to people wanting to be near her, not the other way around.
"I know what you mean" she replied referring to his comment about the dining room. "I avoid the dining hall as well, but I actually never got the urge to track down the kitchen."
She crossed her arms and watched him carefully. She couldn't really tell if he didn't like her or just people in general. She didn't think she did anything wrong yet.
"I guess I'll just go, you don't seem like you want company right now" she said politely as she turned towards the door deciding that he wasn't really worth worrying about right now. She could find something else to do.

All Kobby wanted at this moment was food, and it wasn't that she was in the way but the whole point he didn't eat with everyone else was because they had all seemed to have an urge to talk non stop. So it wasn't her, but he didn't understand why she had to talk so much.
"you don't have to leave if you don't want to. I mean, this kitchen isn't mine ot keep from everyone" He raised an eyebrow at her as he took a bite of his sandwich. He would have grinned, but decided that it would be gross if he did.

She stopped at the sound of the man’s voice. She was confused with the way he was acting. She wasn’t being rude, as far as she could tell, yet he was kind of blowing her off.
Lainey considered herself a good looking woman so it surprised her that this man didn’t seem to want anything to do with her. She was used to men throwing them at her, not that she loved it or anything. This man is completely different. She wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing yet.
The young woman turned around and went to sit across from the man. Something about him was fascinating to her, maybe that was why she was still here.

Kobby watched her as she sat down across from him, and finished off his sandwich. he didn't understand why she was here. She wasn't eating anything, and didn't seem like a person fond of talking so he was slightly confused. It was odd, usually Kobby was good with people. He figured it was her fault, only because it was easier that way.
"So, Lainey" He muttered, taking a drink of water. "What brings you to the kitchens?"
