Max quirked a brow at her and kicked off of the wall so he practically towered over her. He just smirked, this was slightly entertaining and he kind of hoped she'd do something. Of course it'd probably hurt but he didn't care he found this sort of thing thrilling in some odd way. He wanted to see how far he could push the little girl and he hoped it would be far. If not, well he'd have to try until he got somewhere. He wouldn't ever leave a project unfinished. And this was a project. To him anyway.
"You'd never ever?" he asked with a slight tilt of his head. "I doubt that." He leaned backa gainst the wall. "You room with mandy and get along with her. I'm sure she wouldn't like you unless you were somewhat mean?" He actually didn't know Amanda well enough but he hoped his impressions was right and this girl was worth the time. If not, well oh well he'll move on.

When he kicked off the wall, she looked down at the ground. Now, she wasn't comfortable and she stepped back a little bit so he wasn't as close to her. She didn't do well when boys were so close to her. She could only handle certain people.being close to her. No, her problem here wasn't anything to do with being scared of men, but it didn't mean she liked them being so close to her. She'd had alot happen to her by boys; Alex and her brother, Connor, so it was hard for her to get close to them and trust them. She bit her bottom lip for a moment before looking up at him with raised eyebrows. Why he decided to tower over her was unknown to her, but she wasn't going to show him that she was uncomfortable. She could easily play off the step back; say she couldn't see his face or some shit like that, I don't even know. It couldn't be that hard, she had become good a lying though, so it would come to her.
When he began talking, Hope smiled softly and shook her head. Ofcourse, she was lying. She had a violent streak when it came down to it, but of course, she didn't like to show it. She liked being the sweet and innocent girl at Hawthorne.That, however, never stayed her reputation long. Especially if Alex planned on ruining her reputation here like he did back in Texas. He'd make her sound like a whore, and that would just either a) piss her off or b) depress her. It would probably be a little bit of both. She shrugged her shoulders at Max when he brought up Amanda, "It depends on how you look at it," she said, the smile slipping off her lips, "Amanda and I get along because of our similarities, yes, but I can be far worse than her sometimes." Actually, she didn't know if that was true, but she did know that when she got pissed off, she didn't hold back from screaming and potentially hurting the person that had pissed her off.

Max just smirk, he was really enjoying himself today. Pissing the little brunette off was more fun the annoying the shit out of Mandy. Though it seemed easier to get Mandy to be pissed. All he had to do for that was just stand near her and she'd scream at him, this girl seemed to have more control. He liked it but didn't all at the same time. It seemed like more work to get her to scream, but hell he'd have more time to be entertained and less time to be bored out of his mind. So he ran a hand through his hair and laughes slightly.
"No it seems you are just more controlled," he said with a slight twist of his mouth and a shake of his head. He shrugged, "Then again that could be more deadly." He flicked his eyes away and then laughed. "But I'm sure you are as deadly as you say. little girl?" He yawned, she hadn't yet showed any anger and it was slightly boring him. But he'd get it soon enough, so he hoped. "Mandy at least yells and screams and does something entertaining. You just stand there and threaten me with your anger. Not as fun."
