It was freezing. She really couldn't stand the cold weather that came along with winter. She breathed on her hands as she went walking through town. She knew that she shouldn't have came out today, but she just couldn't resist the chance to get out of Hawthorne's walls for once. She sighed and walked around the town for a little bit, before she saw some woods before her. It was absolutely beautiful. She smiled and walked into the woods. It was definitely way more cold in the woods than in town, for some reason, but she didn't care.
Hope walked through the woods for what seemed like forever. The woods was like a neverending walk through trees for her, but she didn't mind it at all. She loved the woods, she could spend all day running through the woods if she had the chance. Eventually, she stopped and sat down under a large tree. She set down her bag beside her and looked around her in awe. It was absolutely beautiful in these woods. It was pretty close to the woods she walked through in Texas, but it didn't beat it. She smiled and closed her eyes, laying her head back on the bark of the tree for a moment. She could stay here forever.
But sadly, she knew it was only a matter of time before the bus came back to pick up all of the kids. She pulled a book out of her bag and opened it up to the last page she'd started from. It was a really old book; she didn't even know the title of it because the title had rubbed off of the spine of the book. Her father had given it to her before she left, so she had something to read. What was the best, was that it had things about music in it. Her father was the one that had gotten her and her brother interested in music. She shivered as a nasty, cold wind blew by, making her hair go all over the place. She fixed her hair and opened back up her book, planning on finally getting some reading done before she had to go back to the bus.

"You shouldn't wander about the woods by yourself" Xander muttered from a tree that was a few feet from here. He had been on the bus with the rest of the students, but due to the fact that he hadn't been here very longer Xander didn't have anyone he knew to hang around with during the outing. He had seen this girl walk from the rest of the group, and had decided to follow her. He had almost lost her a few times, not being a fan of the woods. He always thought that he might get lost, but she was cute and worth the risk.
"Something bad could happen, and no one would even know..." he muttered, pushing himself off of the tree he was currently leaning on. The wind was horrible, but his scarf helped keep him warm. He wore a black button up coat, way over priced but his father didn't care about money. They had tons of it.
"And then what would you do?" He started to walk towards the girl, and quirked an eyebrow at her.

Hope wasn't really expecting anyone to be in here, that was the whole reason that she'd came to the woods, so when she heard a voice, she jumped and looked for the owner of it. She bit her bottom lip and held onto her book tightly, not exactly knowing what to say to the boy that was walking towards her. She wasn't usually one to judge, but the way he said the things he did, she could tell that she probably wouldn't like him, but she would try. Even though she didn't know how the events of today was probably going to turn out.
She eventually shrugged her shoulders at him, "I've never really thought about it. I wasn't expecting someone to follow me," she said, raising her eyebrow back at him, "Are you really that much of a creeper, or were you just bored?" She figured that now, she wasn't going to be able to finish reading her book, she she bookmarked the page that she was on and closed the book, laying it down next to her. She didn't bother standing up for the boy, mainly because she was comfortable where she was and she was bundled together, warm.

"A creeper?" Xander laughed as he continued to close the distance between the two of them. Were they still using those kinds of words? Xander hadn't been called a creeper in some time, and he shook his head at her as he closed the last few feet between them.
Xander bent his body over her, and his face was only inches from her with a hand on either side of her so that his body weight was rested on the log she was sitting on. "I'm just a creeper like that" he commented back in a soft tone. He wondered what she was thinking, and it amused him that he might be intimidating. At home, he could never intimidate a girl because they all knew him.
It was like a new ground of girls to fuck with. "And you?" He asked, using one of his hands to move a piece of hair from her face. "Do you always wonder off by yourself? Thats a good way to get hurt..." He raised another eyebrow at her, before putting his hand back on the log.

Hope moved her head as far back as she could from his and frowned at him. She looked him up and down for a moment, before deciding that she already didn't like him. And the fact that he claimed he was a creeper didn't help her at all. He did seem a little intimidating, and she wanted to just walk away, but he was leaning over her and she couldn't. She bit her bottom lip and narrowed her eyes at him, already starting to get annoyed by the fact that he was so forward. It brought back bad memories.
She scrunched her nose when he a piece of hair from her face and looked away from him, out to the woods. She started to regret coming out here, but it was so beautiful and quiet. Besides, she doubted that he really meant any harm, "Yes, actually, I do. I can't stand big groups of people," She said quietly, looking back up at him, "I don't see anything doing me any harm."

Xander laughed a little bit, but more to himself then to her. He was amused by her, and her obvious lack of self preservation. Xander was glad he wasn't a girl, because even though he had an evident amount of self worth and capability he had a feeling that as a girl he would probably run from anything that seemed sketchy to him. And if the situation were reversed, Xander would have tried to make a run for it by now.
He looked around them for a moment, and sighed to himself before looking at her again. He was really close to her, well their faces were at least. If he made a move to be closer, his lips would be touching her. Someway, and he grinned.
"Your at Hawthorne why?" He asked, as he cocked an eyebrow up a little bit. He grinned again, enough to show off his brilliant white teeth.

She was uncomfortable with him being so close to her. She couldn't stand for a guy to be so close to her anymore. Well, guys that she found to be sketchy like him. Usually, girls would be running away right now, but she wasn't any ordinary girl. She would be happy if someone wanted to kill her; it would save her the trouble of trying to get away with it at the school. She was so glad that people couldn't read her thoughts, or she would be staying in the counselors office.
Hope bit her bottom lip, hard. She really didn't like talking about why she was at Hawthorne, she didn't want anyone to know her problems, but that's all that teenagers wanted to know here. Everytime she met someone new, they would ask why she was here. She didn't really mind it, but she didn't really like talking about it, unlike some people, "Depression, sucide attempts, is the main reason," She said, finally looking back up at him, having been looking down at her jeans, "And what about you? Why are you here?"

"You? But your such a pretty little thing..." Xander put an extra meaning to the words 'little thing' not because he actually thought of her as a thing but the reactions he was getting from her were very amusing to him. He wouldn't actually hurt her either, but this girl didn't know that and hopefully she wouldn't make that connection on her own. At this point, Xander moved one of his hands from the branch she was sitting on to the lower part of her thigh, right about her knee.
"Now, why... would you be depressed dear?" He asked in a soft tone, still close to her face. He grinned then, when she asked why he was here.
"My father seems to think I have some problems, but really my only problem is him so I'm glade to be here" He kept his grin on his face.

Hope couldn't help but roll her eyes when he started talking. She hated being called little. She knew that she was little; she was short and, apparently, looked like a child. She had a baby face; alot of people thought it was adorable. She hoped that it would turn guys away from her, but no such luck so far. When his hand moved to her thigh, the beating of her heart increased slightly. At first, she didn't do anything about it. She didn't want to let him know that he was freaking her out, but she was sure that it was written on her face. She didn't do good with being alone with guys. She did good on occasion, but this obviously wasn't one of those occasions. Finally, she couldn't handle it and pushed his hand away from her. She couldn't stand him touching her, even in the most simple of ways.
She shook her head at him. She wasn't about to tell him why she was depressed; she had only told a couple of people, and that's because she felt like she could trust them, oddly enough. Besides, why would she tell him? He was obviously trying to freak her out, and it was working for the most part, "Now, why would I tell you that?"
Hope nodded her head. That was quite obvious; almost every students parents had placed them here, but there were the few here that got sent by the courts. Some parents just didn't want to put up with their kids anymore, her mother being one of them, "Well, I kind of figured that much. I mean, what did they say your problem was? Drugs, alcohol, suicide, sex? What?"

Xander laughed when she pushed his hand away. It was rather funny and he started to laugh at that. "Your a fiesty one aren't you" He said out loud but talking more to himself then to her. He looked at her for a moment, before she started to talk.
"Well, you would tell me because I'm the only one here and basically I could do whatever i wanted and no one would save you. I think thats much worse that answering a simple question don't you?" He raised an eyebrow at her, and shook his head. He wasn't really amused anymore. her attitude was rude, and Xander was only trying to make conversation.
"What do you think..." He muttered, putting his hand back onto her thigh.

Hope looked away from the boy, just staring off into the woods. He was beginning to piss her off and freak her out all at the same time. She didn't think that anyone could have been as much of an asshole as her brother and his friends, but he was starting to match them. He acted like them and she couldn't stand it. She frowned slightly and looked over at him again, shaking her head when he said that she was fiesty. She wasn't fiesty, she just didn't liked being touched by many guys.
She bit her bottom lip again, hard, and looked down at her jeans. She didn't mean to be rude to him the last time that she talked. She just hated talking about why she was so depressed. There was a reason that she had only told a handful of people. She either trusted them, or they had something similar happen to them as well. She closed her eyes tightly for a moment, before looking back up at the boy, "Yes, that is worse," she simply stated. She didn't say anything else for a moment, letting her brain put her thoughts into words for a moment, before she kept talking, "But I hate talking about why I'm depressed. It just brings back up too many bad memories... Could you, please, just leave it at that?"
Hope looked at his hand on her thigh again. He was seriously starting to piss her off by touching her and being so close to her. Did he not have any manners? She had to hold her hands together, tightly, to keep him slapping him upside the head, "I'm thinking you're either a sociopath, or a sex addict." She only guessed sex addict, because he reminded her of Alex in a way, and that wasn't always a good thing.

"Talking about the things you hate can make them better. For instance, I can't stand my father but the more I talk about him the less it bothers me that the man is useless" He grinned again at her. He wasn't sure why, but talking to her and pushing her buttons amused him. And he was the only one here with her, so why wouldn't he? What else was there to do.
"And maybe I'm both for all you know" He grinned, and gripped her thigh a little tighter. She was getting nervous, and that suited Xander for some reason. It was funny that even though he enjoyed her reactions he wouldn't be able to hurt her but it wasn't just her. Xander couldn't hurt a girl, he wasn't that type of person.
"but if I were an addict of some kind, I'm sure I could get what I want one way or another..." He looked at her again and tilted his head off to the side.

Hope bit the inside of her cheek. She hated talking about it, especially with strangers. And strangers that freaked her out. But, maybe if she told him he would feel bad for her and back off. She let out a sigh and looked back up at him, innocently, "You want to know? Fine, I'll tell you," She said, in a quiet tone. She actually had to admit, though, that the more she talked about it to people (Like Maxxie or Kobby) she did feel a little better. Because they would listen to her, they wouldn't just pity her like most people, "I was raped," she said to him, raising an eyebrow at him to see his reaction. She didn't know if he would back off now, or not. Either way, she got that off of her chest.
Her hands started shaking and she pushed his hand off of her again, although it was a little harder since he was gripping her thigh tighter now, "Well.. I certainly hope not. That wouldn't be good on my behalf," She said, looking up at him with wide eyes. She certainly hoped he was just trying to scare her. He couldn't possibly be this much of a bad person, could he? But, she always did look for the best in people. She really needed to stop doing that.
"I'm sure you couldn't," She said simply, "Well, if you're a sex addict you could, just go hit up a whore around the school," She's heard many rumors of girls that would just give it up easily to people. She wasn't one of those people at all, ofcourse that was pretty obvious. Anyone that had met her knew that.
