Amanda is afraid, deathly afraid, of men. I could see these two ending up really close friends, possibly more? Not sure xD They share the same fear of men, as they went through similar situations. [Clare was raped by her father]. And Clare's the kind of girl that despite what happened and her PTSD she'd rather reach out to someone else and help them or be their friend than deal with her own problems. So she'd be there if Amanda needed someone to talk to or whatnot.

So yeah, I could def. see them as friends and maybe a bit more. I also see Amanda confiding in Clare after they hang out a bit more and she gets closer to Clare, she wouldn't say anything right off the bat but if Clare asked her what was wrong(cause it's really obvious to anyone who pays attention that she hates men, because when she's around them she acts completely different).
