history: Josephine was born in Helena, Montana, to a nurse for a mother and a businessman for a father. He life was simple, normal, all the love she could get from her parents, close extended family, the works of a normal girls' life. she got good grades and was as sweet as can be. but that was cut short one cold december night. after the family went to bed, a man who had been an ex of her mother's hid in the closet, a gun in one hand and an axe in the other. he shot her mother first and then hacked her father to death, leaving the gory stuff for the man who stole her mother away from her ex. josie had been in the room downstairs and hid in the closet until she evntually could call 911. it traumatized her, leading to post trumatic stress disorder, leading to her night terror disorder.
she went to live with her grandparents in their small trailer of a home, and even though she remained a good, sweet little girl, at night, her dreams were haunted by horrible images of blood and pain. They progressively got worse, to the point where she'd stay up in an insomnia state for days just to avoid dreams. her exasperated but concerned grandmother ended up inquiring about places that could help her disturbed granddaughter, hawthorne got mentioned, and bam, josephine was on her way in a bus to maine.
