AND I WATCH IT WASH UP WITH THE DEAD FISH
AND I WATCH IT WASH UP WITH THE DEAD FISH
dislikes: ben hates being challenged by students, extremely hot days, having no time for fun after work, paying bills, being still, not being able to solve something, and hangovers.
strengths: despite the fact that he is young, ben is extremely good at what he does. he's a fantastic teacher who always makes himself available to his students and is always there to tutor them, answer their questions, or just help them out any way he can. he's a good listener and a good critical thinker, even if he tends to overthink every little thing. he's patient and does his best to be kind to everyone, so his students and fellow faculty tend to find him easy to talk to.
weaknesses: the one thing he can't stand is being challenged, he's a firm believer that students should do what their teachers say without questioning them, and should respect them. he tends to get angry easily when students do the opposite and for a few minutes he loses sight of how to be fair.
secrets: he's got a major anxiety disorder, the reason he felt the need to take a job at a school that helps people like him. he takes medication and is extremely good at keeping it under wraps. he doesn't talk about it to anyone except his therapist, and makes sure to keep it from his students. why? he's not sure, he just doesn't want people knowing.
worst memory: the first time he had to teach a math class, as a student teacher, he had a panic attack after forgetting to take his medication that morning, and had to stop teaching the class and reschedule.
best memory: the day he got his dream job as a teacher.
desires: he's pretty much set for now. he doesn't have any desires that he can think of.
pet peeves: being talked back to, being ignored, having people pry into his personal life.
overall: Ben is an extremely nice and outgoing guy, which is why he finds it so easy to be a teacher. He loves talking to people and listening to them, and does his best to help out other people when he can. He's outspoken and arguementative at times, but he always has other peoples best interests in mind and tries his best to be fair to everyone. At times he's quite and reserved, a side effect of the medication not working or working too much for his anxiety disorder, but he usually just locks himself up at home during these times and doesn't let other people see him.

BUT IT AIN'T QUITE DEAD, IT JUST IS LIKE THIS
BUT IT AIN'T QUITE DEAD, IT JUST IS LIKE THIS
siblings: none.
other relatives: none.
history: Benjamin Byers was raised by a single mother, Hannah, who was a nurse and always took double shifts and the hospital. He was mostly raised by his grandmother due to his mother working so hard, but she was always there for him when he needed her and he had a pretty great childhood. The only problem was he'd always get scared at night while he was supposed to be sleeping at his grandmothers house, and without his mother there he would just cry silently. Over the years it turned into an anxiety disorder, causing him to overthink everything, come up with horrible scenarios in every situation, and basically just let his mind go nuts.
His mom finally sought help for him in high school and after taking medication and finding it easier to focus he finished school, got his credentials, and just started teaching at Hawthorne.

It was something Bronson was used to hearing, and something he never responded to."Get back here you little punk! I'm going to kick your ass!" Granted he could have picked a better target, but he'd gotten the twitch in his fingers and it had been just too easy when he saw the group of guys standing around, smoking cigarettes, joking around, and one of them facing him, his wallet halfway out of his back pocket. Come on.. that was just begging a klepto to take it off of him. They looked like they could have seriously hurt him if they caught up to him, but by time they'd realized that the 17 year old kid that had accidently bumped into one of them had indeed lifted his wallet, he was halfway down the street, a decent head start.
The moment they called after him Bronson shoved the wallet in the front pocket of his form fitting jeans, rolled up the sleeves of his long sleeved button up gray shirt, and had started running. For a bunch of smokers they were pretty fast, but he managed to keep ahead of them for awhile. When they finally started to catch up, and he could feel himself getting tired, he decided it was better to duck and hide somewhere, and as soon as another group of people obscured him from the view of his pursuers he ran into The Attic. He stopped as soon as he got inside, looking behind him to see if they were right there, but their path had been blocked by the other group of people and they were still trying to make their way towards the store.
Bronson removed the wallet from his pocket, still facing the door, and took a few deep breaths. He glanced inside, smiling when he saw a good three hundred bucks. They must have been drug dealers or something.. or just rich. Either way it was his now, he'd worked hard for it.. yeah, that was his reasoning. As he saw them break free from the other crowd and start running up the street again he turned, planning to run into the nearest aisle of books and hide, but instead he ran straight into someone else, hard enough to knock himself backwards and on to the floor, dropping the wallet next to him.
