Max knew he wouldn't be able to sneak any alcohol into the dance. So what he did was drink all he could, without getting off the wall drunk, in his dorm. Before of course throwing on the suit he bought, with his father's money of course and running a hand through his hair. He never cared much for his hair and he always went for the naturally messy do and it worked out well for him all together.
He didn't gel it or nothing, it was natural and it worked very well for him. So he headed to the dance. He was sure the girls would still be getting ready. They were always so worried about there looks and he was glad. Because they usually looked hot when the worried, maybe even his young grasshopper. Not that he actually met the darling girl or even thought of her more then a person to play with and toy with.
She seemed to have a temper on the chat and he liked it. Plus he did make a bet that he could get her to like him sooner or later. And hell he hoped that would happen soon enough, maybe at the dance she'll be a little more relaxed and actually take a time out from hating him and have fun.
Then again his fun included her hating him. Dilemma dilemma. If she liked him right away, he'd be bored out of his mind. Then again he was sure she wouldn't. Which meant this dance would be highly entertaining.

'cause you left me police scene chalk line
tequila shots in the dark scene of the crime - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was exciting, being able to dress up and go to a dance. Sure, she'd done it before and every time she was able to, she got excited. She didn't know what it was about dances and dressing up that made most girls excited. It took forever to get everything just right, but she didn't mind it. It took her forever to get dressed everyday, anyway. She finished curling her hair, teasing the crown of her hair for some volume. she brushed over it before looking at her finished product. Smiling at it, she pulled out her make-up bag and started on her make-up.
The only thing that she didn't like about this dance was her date; he was a guy, for one, and her fear usually made her act differently towards guys than how regular girls would act, and it was that Max kid. He loved to push her buttons, she couldn't help but be a little hostile towards him. She'd rather be hostile towards a guy, rather than show her fear. She'd shown her fear once, to Aleksei, and look how that worked out. Her blue eyes glanced down towards her collarbone, where the now scarring x's were. That had to be the worst day of her life. He was so scary and she couldn't do anything to stop him. Well, she could have tried, but it only would have made it worse on herself. She tried her best to cover up the x's with makeup, and for the most part it worked. She smiled at her reflection when she was done and walked back into her room.
Abrielle slipped on her dress, followed by her shoes and the jewelry. She looked at herself in the mirror for a moment, pushing some hair behind her ear. Grabbing her clutch, she walked out of her dorm and towards where the dance was being held. She self-conciously pulled at the end of her dress, forgetting how short it was. Why did she wear a short dress? She honestly couldn't tell you, she just loved the way that it looked and its color. She stood outside of the dance for sometime, not really wanting to put up with Max for the night. Finally, taking in a breath, she walked into the dance and looked around. She first went to the storage room and put her clutch away, before trying to find Max. When she found the guy, she bit her bottom lip before walking over to him.

Max smirked as he watched Elle walk into the dance and look for him. Hell he wasn't sure he expected the girl to come. He expected her to ditch or something, it just seemed the most likely thing, since she openly didn't like him much. And it wasn't that he actually cared about what the girl thought of him. Okay that was a lie, Max cared a lot what people thought of him. To some extent, it was the reason he was so charming most of the time. Other times he rather the people dislike him, it made it more fun. And his time here less boring. Hell if everyone jumped on him, life would be boring as hell.
"Grasshopper you made it. How happy that makes me," he said smoothly, crossing his arms and smirking. This girl was something, he didn't know why but he just liked the way she didn't like him. It was something he wasn't used to, and he wanted to make her like him. It seemed like something that would take awhile, and if he failed he'd just find himself something new to do.
Though even if she kept hating on him, he'd still mess with her because it seemed entertaining. Hell it was entertaining and he didn't want it to change. Not at all. He ran a hand through his hair and grinned. "i'm surprised you even showed up dollface," he said trying to get her to say something, hell hit him for all he cared. He was just testing her, seeing how far she would go. Maybe further then Hope or Amanda. He didn't mind either way. "You look good too."

'cause you left me police scene chalk line
tequila shots in the dark scene of the crime - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Abrielle rolled her eyes at the boy infront of her. It was going to be really tough to be nice to him. He just knew how to piss her off, and it was weird because they hardly even knew each other. She wanted this night to be fun, not her constantly snapping at her date just because he said something, but she knew that it was most likely going to happen. She knew that she was going to snap at him through out the night, because that's how she's been ever since they first talked to each other.
She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. He was a charner, she knew his type. He thought that he could get his way with everything and Abrielle was going to make sure that didn't happen. She would be the one to let him down. She wanted to see if there was any possible way that she could piss him off, because everytime that she tried it didn't seem that she could, but she would try, "Don't call me Grasshopper," was the first words out of her mouth. She hated nicknames. The only nickname that she hasbeen able to put up with is Elle, because people didn't feel like typing out her whole name, She let out a scoff as he said that he was happy that she made it. It was hard to come up with her to say something insulting to him at the moment in time, because really all he'd done so far in compliment her.
And that pissed her off.
"Can't you just call me by my name? Or, were you too bothered to remember it?" She asked, uncrossing her arms to mess with the end of her dress. She still couldn't believe that she decided to wear a short dress. She didn't think that she would, but she fell inlove with the dress the minute that she saw it. She was surprised that she showed up, too. It would have been easier for her to have had a girl date, because then she wouldn't have to hide her fear. Ofcourse, she'd still be on edge because there were guys around, but still. It was always hard for her to think straight when there were guys around, because she had to focus on calming herself down instead of engaging in a conversation, but she'd been doing well so far, "I wish I could say the same for you." Ofcourse, she just lied. He actually looked pretty good, but she would never admit that to him.

Max enjoyed pissing off Abrielle, or well any girl at that matter. It seemed to be the one thing he always tried to do. Piss someone off, and he was pretty damn good at it too. He smirked at her and tilted his head to the side as he looked at her one more time. "Well if it pisses you off that much," he mused slightly before shrugging. "I guess I'll stop using it. At least for tonight," he said softly. He really did want to get this girl to like him, it seemed like a good test of his charm, and he was always into testing himself. So for now, he'll be a good little Max.
"Abrielle, Of course I know your name," he said sweetly. He shook his head,"It's not an easy name to forget." Plus he happened to just have good memory, and half the time he's on the chat his little grasshopper is too. He has to see her name a lot, since they always seem to get into some form of arguement. "But for today's sake. I'll call you by your name. And we will have fun," he said, holding his hands up in the air, like he was surrendering.
He gave a soft frown,"Well I think by the end of the night you'll think differently." He's eyes twinkled at the possibility of just this one dance, getting Abrielle to change her mind about him. He doubted it, nothing was ever that easy, and if it was. He'd just get bored and go find someone new to mess with. But for now, he was going to keep on with Elle, it was way more fun then anything else he could think of at the moment. "But either way. You are one gorgeous girl," he said truthfully.
He put out his hand, and smiled, "Let's dance." He cocked his head to the side and waited, wondering if she'd say yes, but expecting her to say no and possibly hitting him. Either one of those ideas were intriguing, he was hoping for the first but the latter wouldn't be a total waste of time.

tequila shots in the dark scene of the crime - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Abrielle knew better than to believe he would stop just because the nickname pissed her off. There had to be something behind it, but she didn't push it. If he would stop calling her that for one night, she wasn't going to complain. She offered him a small smile at him to thank him, but said no more. She didn't reallt know what to say. She definitely wasn't going to say, 'Oh, thanks. You're such a sweetheart.' Oh, hell no. That wasn't how Abrielle played. She wasn't one for being all cool around guys. No, she was always on edge and she'd lash out at them at any given point. And, Max was the target for the moment.
It's not an easy name to forget? She rolled her eyes at the words that left his lips. Sure, you didn't come around her name often, but she loved her name. What it meant, how it sounded. It was different. A lone eyebrow raised up as he started talking again, and she looked at him with uncertainty. Atleast she was hiding her fears rather well, maybe he would never know about those rather embarassing things as to why she was here. A light smile came to her lips as he rose in hands up in a sort of way, kind of like surrendering. It fell as soon as it came. She wasn't going to fall to his charm, she just wasn't. Sure, she could enjoy herself for one night, but that didn't mean she just wasn't going to start liking. No sir, that just wasn't how it worked.
Abrielle shook her head as the smile came back to her lips, this time staying there. What? She liked smiling, besides she thought it was kind of funny that he thought she could change her mind in just one night, "Yeah, I doubt it," It was hard for her to changer her mind about something, or someone for this matter. She liked insulting him, and getting on his nerves. Well, actually, it seemed that he annoyed her more than her doing so to him. He seemed to like them arguing, which was just plain weird in her book. I mean, really? Sure, she got a kick out of annoying people every once in a while, but not to every girl that they met. He seemed to be the type to bed a girl, not annoy them. Which ever one he was, or if he was both, that just wasn't cool in her books. She was taken aback by the compliment and a light, pink blush came to her cheeks, but she acted as if it didn't bother ber. Actually, she was pissed off that she reacted in such a way to his compliment, she didn't want that to happen, "Well, thanks."
She stared down at his hand for a few moments, trying to decide if she wanted to or not. Sure, she wanted this night to be amazing, but if her fear acted up greatly, she knew that it would go down in flames. She couldn't stand being close to a guy, especially after what happened with.. Well, anyways, she just didn't know. Her hand itched to take his, to just forget it all and enjoy the night, but her mind was telling her differently. She shook it off and put her hand in his, "Fine," she said, in a quiet tone.

Max was glad to be the target of Abrielle's little lashing out. It meant she wasn't just any girl who threw themselves at him, and that about her. It also meant she felt something towards him, even if that something at the moment was strong hatred. But all strong feelings could be changed to some other feeling and he was planning on making that happen. He just needed a little bit of time, and a well formulated plan. Though planning was something he wasn't sure woud work, with all th uncontrolable circumstances in this school.
He was telling the truth, he would never forget her name. Not because of how unusual Abrielle is to come by, but because of whose name it was. When he had a target for his afffection, he never forgot their name. Not even as he pissed the person off by calling them all but there name. He shook his head as she rolled his eyes, but didn't comment at all. The other reason he didn't forget his name, he actually thought it was a pretty name. Though he wasn't planning on letting her know all of that just yet. He saw the shimmer of smile and then it disappeared. With that he knew he was getting closer to his goal and his own grin brightened just slightly.
He gave a shake of his own head,"Hey. One night with me is enough to show you I'm not just a jerk." Which was very true, yes Max liked holding people off at a distance. He didn't like falling for people and getting hurt, it was easier being an ass. But he could be overly romantic, which is usually how he got the girls who didn't want him to want him. He did something overly sweet and gushy, because they just didn't expect it of him. He could also be overly protective of anyone he claimed as his at that moment in time. Right now, that would of been Abrielle, and he had yet to settle on Hope and Amanda. Though little encounters with them was fun for the moment. Just not as pleasing like all his times with his little grasshopper.
She never annoyyed him, actually he found all her little insults more and more pleasing. For somereason he was the type of guy that liked to bed girls yes. But he liked finding girls that wouldn't usually bed him. Not that he wouldn't just bed a girl cause they asked. That he would do just because he wasn't going to deny a pretty young lady a night in bed with him. Yeah concieted, but it was true. He had the right to be, which was usually the problem. He was so hot, he got what he wanted, yet he didn't want it right away. Which was a good thing, they made girls like his grasshopper. But at her blush he was sure he somewhat got her in his sexy grasp. "No need to think the truth," he said with a shrug. Because it was the truth, or he wouldn't of spent money and time on trying to get her to this dance or to like him.
He gave her a reassuring smile as she seemed to contemplate taking his hand and when she did, he lead her off onto the dance floor. Of course, he had expeirence with dancing. His mother made him take ballroom classes, not that he'd ever admit such a thing. He seemed to be lost in thought, like he was contemplating something. Though his mind was made up by the time they reached the edge of the dance floor and he pulled her close and dipped her slightly. "I'm glad you agreed," he said smoothly and with a slight smirk.
