elana was born into a house full of just complete assholes, her parents were abusive and probably did drugs, not that she actually knew. it started at age three, though at first it was only being locked in her room for extended times, but they brought her food and fed her. at age five it got physical and actually beat her and then at age seven starved her. after that it escalated to being locked in the bathroom with ammonia and no ventilation until she puked. she had many trips to the hospital.

finally at 8 she was saved by doctors and nurses who kept her in the hospital for longer then she needed to be, so child services could investigate. though the damage was already done, she was already scared to be confined and once she hit the foster care system somone had drugs and she couldn't not say no, it was one of the older kids. she said yes, and after that life was different. somewhere down the road she met marilyn and they started dating, it was sweet and innocent at first, and well elana loved her, which would be hard to believe. but it might of been the similarities in their past that brought them so close.

when marilyn was sent away, elana was slight devastated, she had to deal with the annoying people who were all happy she was gone while elana was hurting inside. her drug use went overboard and then she overdosed so the system couldn't find anyone who wanted her so they shipped her here, which was fine by her.
