micah stared up at the large painting of hawthorne's founder that was placed directly in the center of the wall which also boasted a large flat screen TV and various stuffed wild animal heads. the beady eyes of two deer, one moose, and one perpetually snarling bear stared back at him, as well as the thickly bearded and mustachio founder, who looked to be about 100 years old. that was an exaggeration of micah's part, but all old people looked the same to him. he never wanted to get old - he wished he could be a kid in one of those silly vampire movies that the girls loved, fly-light or something. he had been to that movie at least six times before he had gotten sent to hawthorne with girls who's faces he could not remember, and all he knew about was that these vampires stayed the same age forever and ate animals in the forest. oh, and they seemed to be attracted to simple high school chicks. sounded like a pretty badass life for him exluding the boring chick part, if only shit like that was real. he had only met a few people at hawthorne, including a kid of liked sex pain, or something like that. but there was one girl who he was particularly interested in - her name was hope, and though he had just barely met her on an online chat for the school, he was scheduled to meet her here in the common room for a little tour of the school. it was dark out, and the common room was emptying quickly - all that was left were a few kids practically asleep on the oddly long curved couch, a younger looking guy staring intently at the TV, and a counselor keeping an eye on them all - as if this was some secret rager party and the moment he looked away kids would go wild. he snickered to himself and looked around quickly for hope. he felt a pang of impatience but took a deep breath to refresh himself. he wouldn't get angry. he had to remind himself of that. micah picked at his fingernails, his idle mind shifting to his life outside of hawthorne - his past. he had, at first, hated the thought of being sent to hawthorne - he threatened his dad with all kinds of things to change his mind, running away and emancipating himself among others. but then, as he was on his way to hawthorne stowed in a boot camp type bus travelling through rural maine, he got to thinking. he was being sent to a place with people just like himself - sure, some were different, but there was bound to be a large group of partiers and a huge amount of hot girls whom he'd get along nicely with. and already he met a gorgeous girl who was about to show him around the extensive campus, under the moon light - it was pretty perfect. if only she'd hurry up. he tapped his foot impatiently, zoning out on the TV, which was showing some skate show. words , five hundred and twenty one. outfit , click.tagged, krista with hope notes , yay (:

Hope stared at the ceiling that was in her room, which was just a bland white. Nothing there at all, which is exactly how it was supposed to be, unfortunately. You'd think they'd put something interesting in the dorms, so the teenagers would have something to do. Well, I suppose they count the laptops as something entertaining. She sat up in her bed and ran a hand through her hair for a moment, before jumping off of her bed and walking over to where her makeup and clothes were sitting out. She had told that boy, Micah, that she would show him around. It wasn't really anything new, she always offered to new kids. Most people wouldn't, but she was kind. Or, she tried to be. It didn't always work out with the way some people act around this school. Some students just annoyed her to no end.
With a sigh, she changed out of her sweats and into the simple clothing that she picked out. She looked at herself in the mirror, before putting on some light makeup. She finished putting on the lip gloss before smiling at her reflection and grabbing her bag. She looked over at her roommate with a grin and waved at her as she opened the door, "I'm going out, be back later!" She didn't bother waiting for a reply from the girl that has became her best friend and walked out of the room. As she began to make her way to the common room, she let her thoughts roam. Micah definitely caught her attention. He seemed like a bit of a player at first, but he said that he was faithful when he met the right girl. He was sweet, charming, and quite attractive from what she'd seen. His reason for being here didn't seem so bad to her, she thought it was alright to her. She'd heard some pretty outrageous things from the months that she'd been in this place. From minor drug abuse to trying to kill someone, so of course some minor theft didn't seem like much of a problem to her.
When Hope stepped into the common room, she let her brown eyes sweep across the room. Almost immediately, her eyes stopped on the counselor. She let a small smile come to her lips and a quiet laugh came out of her lips. As if only one counselor could do something, although she knew that the counselor could easily call others to assist him, if he needed it. She let her eyes keep looking around for the one person she was looking for. Soon, her eyes landed on the boy that she was looking for and a smile came to her lips. She walked over to him and placed her hands on her hips before opening her lips to speak, "Hey there," She said, with a kind smile on her lips. This night wouldn't be so bad, it was definitely better than being in her dorm all night.

micah spotted hope at the same moment she spotted him. their eyes connected for a sift moment before she headed toward him, and he was already shocked at how much prettier she was in person. "hey! you look great." he said, smiling his flashy, glowing smile. getting girls came naturally to micah. he had been with a lot of them, even impregnated his last girlfriend... but his anger took care of that. it usually did, but it made him end up here, in this shit hole of a school. glancing at hope quickly, a thought formed in his mind - if all chicks at this school were as cute as hope, he wouldn't mind it at all - and so far, every girl he had met had been knock out gorgeous. fragile minds ready for manipulating. he wondered if hope had strong will or was as cheap and spineless as most girls that were sent to what was basically a juvy school. "shall we?" he said, snapping out of his fleeting, near aimless thoughts and focusing on hope. focusing on the night. he stepped away from the common room, opening the door that led them to the fresh spring air. he inhaled deeply, the smell of newly bloomed flowers and recently cut grass - first mow of the season - hitting him like a bus. the sky was perfectly clear, a small crescent moon hung perfectly in space. a beautiful night with a beautiful girl, what was more fitting? he looked at home, grinning broadly at her. "lead the way. bet this school has a lot of interesting places, eh?" he said a little sarcastically, snickering a bit. micah could come off as the most charming guy, a guy ready to sweep you off your feet and dote on you hand and foot. but micah was the polar opposite of that guy. not that hope knew. hope knew this: micah was at hawthorne for a small case of 'kleptomania' (quotations needed for his story), just for stealing pills for a sick father who couldn't afford medication. naturally, a lie. micah was pretty good at telling those. he spoke fluent Lie, you could say. micah was really here for a huge case of kleptomania - micah stole at least one thing from everyone he met. expensive jewelery. alcohol. drugs. even if he didn't need it, he took it. even if he didn't want it, he took it. it was addictive, like his own personal drug. and of course, there was always his severe anger issues - 'violent when angry' was something they put on his registration sheet when he first arrived at this school. all tucked away in files in locked offices. hope didn't know a thing. not about him, at least. words , four hundred and seventy one. outfit , click.tagged, krista with hope. notes , thought this post was gonna be major crap and super short, but i guess not

she let a smile come to her lips as micah spoke. she was still getting used to the difference of being insulted and being complimented. she never knew how to take a compliment anymore. usually, she would blush and look down, but she didn't that time. thank god, because that only embarrassed her more than she usually already was. no, she let a kind smile come to her lips, before she opened them to speak, "thanks, you don't look so bad yourself," she didn't really feel obligated to return the compliment, but it wasn't a lie. he looked great, not overly dressed. he was attractive anyway, so it wouldn't really matter what he was wearing anyway, though she was one for fashion. it was hard to find clothes for her now, however, that wasn't baggy on her. she always fixed them when she got back home, but it still made her upset. the fact that she was so small, yet she didn't have the will power to fix that problem.
hope snapped from her thoughts when micah began talking again and she nodded her head slightly at him in acknowledgement. as they walked out of the common room, she looked around at the beauty around her, her eyes lighting up instantly at the sight. it was definitely a sight and she felt like it was the perfect time to be out. she bit down on her lip slightly as she thought of where to take him first. there were just so many places that she could go. finally, she made up her mind and she looked up at him with a smile as he began talking, "you'd actually be surprised," she said, thinking mainly about the music room and the gardens. she began to lead him towards the gardens, one of her favorite places to be. fun around hawthorne could be hard to come by at times, because of how often the students were watched, "then again, it all comes down to what you can get away with around here. if you actually want to have a good time here."
her thoughts on fun were different than half of the students at hawthorne. almost everyone she had talked to loved to go to parties, get high, get drunk.. it just wasn't her scene, even though she does usually get talked into going. hell, her friend mari had even talked her into getting high. she always tried to stay away from that scene after the incident that she had with alex. it pretty much scared her to go to another party again. especially with the students here, you never knew what they were going to pull. thankfully, hardly anyone knew why she was here or what happened to her. she planned on keeping it that way, she didn't need people feeling sorry for her, or worse.. begin to tease her about what happened. shaking her head of the thoughts, a grin came to her lips as she saw the gardens in view and she looked up at the boy that was with her, "the place i'm about to show you is one of my favorite spots around this school," she said, a small hand pointing towards the gardens that they were approaching. walking into the grin, she looked around at the newly bloomed flowers with a smile before turning her gaze to micah, to see what he would say.

micah broadly grinned as hope picked her destination and started heading in that direction. he followed dutifully, amazed at how much taller he was compared to her. she small stature was cute to him, she really was gorgeous. micah had seen a lot of pretty girls at hawthorne, but hope seemed to be the most radiant, adorable girl. possibly the most popular, too, from what he saw, everyone loved hope. the perfect good girl. couldn't be anything abut her that'd piss him off... that sometimes worried micah, how loose his emotions were. he got angry so easily. and though, inside, he loved to be controlling and rude, he was terrified of what he could do when angry, what measures he'd go to. would he kill a guy if he got mad enough? micah was pretty sure the answer leaned toward yes. and that was truly scary. he looked up to the sky to forget his tense thoughts, just walking in silence with hope - not an awkward silence, but an easy one. the sky was full of stars, so immense and bright and eye catching. "damn, look at those stars..." he said absent mindedly, bringing his head down to look at hope. "better be bringing me somewhere good," he said, laughing a little. "so, ms. hope, i want to get to know ya a little more. here, let's play a little game. i'll as you a question, you ask me one. deal? i'll go first. hmm, what do ya like to do for fun? like, hobbies." he said casually, smiling a bit at her. he was enjoying the night with her so far, and it was just the beginning - wouldn't be a bad night at all. a floral scent started to fill the air. he started to form an idea about where they were going. he soon spotted a large hedge, probably set there as a border wall. it was trimmed to perfection, in fact the whole thing seemed well managed. and from what he could see, it was huge, filled to the brim with flowers of all colors, red, blue, yellow, purple... flowers in the margins, white, pink, orange, green... the smell was intoxicating. he looked at hope. "amazing... i appreciate a good garden." he said, chuckling a bit. "i'm guessing this is the highlight of our trip? i mean, a correctional school can't be that good." he smiled, running his hands through his hair. "don't forget, it's your turn to ask a question." he grinned. words , four hundred and thirty two. outfit , click.tagged, krista with hope.

hope couldn't help but look up at the stars when he mentioned them. slowly, a soft smile came to her lips as she looked at the many, bright dots in the dark sky. she could get lost looking at the stars, when were as bright as they were that night. this had to be the perfect night to go out with someone. she let her eyes glance over at micah, before smiling slightly. maybe tonight wouldn't be so bad after all. she hadn't had the best of luck with guys. everytime, something would go wrong. she didn't think she would have such bad luck, but it proved that she wasn't the best when it came to the opposite sex. alex, kobby, jeff.. it was all just bad memories that needed to go down the drain. easier said than done, though.
she broke away from the thoughts and bit her lip as she looked back up at the stars for a moment, "they are quite lovely," she said, quietly. she looked up at him as he began talking again, and she knew just what she was going to say for her hobbies. hell, just about everyone knew what she did for fun, it wasn't like she kept it a secret, "well, i absolutely love to play piano, guitar, and sing. almost always, you can catch me in the music room. it's where i spend most of my time. also, dancing, i'm co-captain of the dance team. um.. i like cooking, writing, running.. i guess that's the basics," she said, biting on her bottom lip as she thought of all the things she loved to do.now, all she had to do was think of a good question to ask him.. she could easily ask him what his hobbies are. that would be a good question to ask back, since they were on the subject already.
she watched him as he looked around the garden. besides the music room, this was the one place she could go to calm down. the different amount of colorful flowers.. the smell.. it was pretty much amazing. plus, when she came here, there were hardly any students, so she didn't have to worry about them bothering her for some time. she smiled slightly and nodded her head, "i do too. i used to help my mom out in her garden, before i was sent here," she said, memories flashing before her of the fun times with her mom. now that she thought about it, she spent most of her time with her mom, when she wasn't being with connors idiot friends. she was pulled from her thoughts and she shook her head at him, "not at all! you'd be surprised at the interesting places here. some people might not think they're great, but i do," she said, a grin coming to her lips. she didn't think that hawthorne was so bad, she actually enjoyed being here. if she wasn't sent here, she couldn't have met some of the best friends that she'd ever had. finally, she asked him a question, even though he had just asked it, "alright.. well, what do you like to do for fun?" words: 547 outfit: click! tagged: mari with micah!
