Briar is a pretty random, crazy girl. She loves to have a good time and making people smile. She'll do pretty crazy things, not caring about the consequences that will come afterward. She's a caring person and if she sees someone crying, she'll try to cheer them up. Briar is a sarcastic and witty girl, she doesn't think before she speaks, and it can sometimes land her in trouble. She's very outgoing, she will be the first person to say hello to someone and introduce herself, but she will also be the first person to tell you off if she doesn't like you.

Briar was born into a very high class family. It was pretty boring, to say the least. All her family cared about was their social. She had to act like her fathers little angel throughout her whole life. When she was younger, she didn't really care because her father would always spoil her. She was the oldest of two, when she was three years old, her family welcomed in a young boy that went by the name of Joshua.

She became very close to her brother as time grew on, but her brother liked to stay the center of attention throughout their childhood and Briar let him have the spotlight. When she was only 12 years old, tragedy struck her family. Her father had been saying that he had to work late for the last two months, and Briar finally got tired of it and went to go see what was going on. She came home with a depressed look that night; she found out that her father had been cheating on her mother. Now, she confronted her father about it, but it turned ugly. Her father went crazy and just began to throw things at her, eventually just hitting her with his own fists. He made her promise that she wouldn't tell her mom, and she kept that promise for about a month.

She told her mom and Briars mother had the courage to pack up all of their things; Briars, Joshuas, and her own, and leave. She left a note for her father and when they were about to step outside of the door, her father bursted in. He was very upset and he wasn't thinking straight. He grabbed a knife out of the kitchen and took it to her mother. She and Joshua watched as he stabbed her mother to death. Then, he turned on them two. She was unable to help Joshua, no matter what she tried, and he died as well. Her father was only able to stab her a couple of times, before the police arrived. Thankfully, their neighbors had called when they heard her mothers screams.

That's when she started having hallucinations. Two people appeared, and stayed with her constantly. She named them Rose and Nick. She was put into foster care and jumped from house to house for four years, but each set of parents kicked her out for having those hallucinations. They could find no one that wanted to keep her, but she didn't care. She refused to let anything bring her down anymore. Finally, they sent her to a psychologist and they found out that she was schizophrenic, thanks to the trauma that her father had put her through. They didn't know what else to do but send her away to a boarding school. They looked up the best school, which happened to be Hawthorne, and promptly packed all of her things and sent her here.
