John is practically a hopeless romantic, he loves to flirt and he loves pretty ladies. Especially pretty foreign ladies. Okay so he likes to travel and girls from other places always held an intrest to him. Plus the whole hopless romantic thing is just how he is, he can't help it and he seems to find himself with the strangest of girls at the strangest of times. Most who seem to have some issues of their own. Though he had yet to find the perfect girl in the perfect world for him to start an actual relationship with.
He usually tries not to lie in his relationships, but it feels odd to him so he lies, but they are usually small lies and sometimes either to help the girl through something.

The truth:
His life pretty much sucked as a kid, his parents argued and he was constantly beat by his father, while his sister was praised for her award winning status and gifted genetics. Not that John wasn’t pretty darn smart, but he constantly had to lie about bruises and cuts that school work didn’t seem as important to him anymore. He still likes doing it of course, it was the turning it in part that he had problems with. He would of gotten beat either way, because his grade would still be lacking in the way Marianne’s wasn’t.
So when he started lying about all the questions, to his father about the things he was doing after school, it started to come naturally and he couldn’t help do it anymore. Whenever he tried to tell the truth, it seemed wrong and he’d bend it just the slightest so he’d feel better instead of the stomach pain he got when he was about to tell the truth.
His best friend and him would hang out, though he lied to him too, about well everything. To Mark, his parents were always out of town and his sister was a swim suit model. Of course it made no sense, but Mark bought it. Then again he was a druggie and the reason John tried coke, but his father found out and almost beat the crap out of him. He had to skip so much school, then again his teachers all thought ill of him. He was the ‘bad’ kid though he wasn’t anywhere as bad as the rest.
When his friend overdosed and the police caught him lying and the bruises they shipped him off to foster care where he went to therapy yet continued lying. After a month of lying his foster parents couldn’t stand it. His parents didn’t want him and here he was.
