Cara's appearance is quite fair. She has a milky complexion, with her long, bright blonde hair. It makes her blue eyes stand out against the rest of her features. She's not too tall, but she's not short either. She says that she's just right.

Her fashion sense is kind of different from what others wear. She loves to dress edgy and risque. She'll wear short skirts, or dresses, with the mid thigh tights or something, just to get stares. But she'll also dress girly as well, with the cute little skirts and blouses. It all depends on how she feels that day, and then she'll dress in a certain manner. She couldn't care less what people at this school thought of her and she's just ready to get out so she can go back to her regular life. Though, if you are one of the few to get on her good side, she will be the best friend that you've ever had. She's loyal and can keep a secret, if she likes you enough. She thinks highly of herself and so far, no one besides Cameron can bring her off of her high horse. She will talk to anyone, even if they don't want to talk to her. If they don't like her and don't want to talk to her, she'll just say something to get the said person and start something.

Carabella's life is nothing quite out of the ordinary for a girl with problems. It's just like you would imagine; an only child being spoiled all her life. When her parents got a divorce at age eight, she automatically started acting out. Her mother having to work two jobs, and her father having moved out of England, she didn't get as much attention as she was used to. So, in order to get her parents attention, she started fighting the girls, and sometimes even guys, in her school so her mother would have to come to the school and pick her up.

By the time that she was 13, she had done so many things that it was unreal. She had gotten into hundreds of fight within the years, having the scars to show them, drug use, suicide attempts, constant parties, and sex: all for the attention that she so desired. Her mother couldn't put up with it any longer, and thinking that it was wrong for a young girl to act the way she was, she looked for psychiatric help. Her psychiatrists recommended a place called huntercombe to her, a medium risk facility, and the psychiatrist sent her there himself.

Cara's life changed from then on at that school. She stayed there for two years, and it drove her about insane. There wasn't much that she could do there, and she didn't like it. They would always prod at her, trying to figure out what brought on all the things that she did. It never worked. Staying in that place, it lead her to more suicidal tendencies and people, even the other patients. One that really took notice, was Cameron Lynn. They had never gotten along.

One day, when they were out, Cameron persuaded her to go up to the roof with her, stupid idea on her part. She was trying to get Cara to jump. She was tempted, but she didn't want to do it, because she didn't want to see her mother upset, or give Cameron the satisfaction. She kept persuading her, and eventually she had actually thought to do it. She was right at the edge of it, when a counselor started to talk her out of it. She was actually thankful that the counselor had talked her out of it.

Obviously, Cameron didn't like it too much. She had pushed her off of the roof, watching her with a smirk the whole time. Somehow, she didn't die, but she was in immense pain for a long time. She was in an ICU for a month, before she started to respond to the doctors. She stayed in the hospital for 6 months, having had to go through physical therapy to get her strength back. Ever since that day, she feared any antisocial person.

Cara's mother decided that moving out of England would be good for them, and they moved to South Haven, Maine. She wasn't put into another troubled teens facility for a while, her mother thinking that Carabella had come to her senses. But it was all a lie. She began to act out a month after they had arrived. Her mother found out about Hawthorne and immediately enrolled her.
