Leonardo sighed as he looked over his new classroom. He had the desks arranged in rows with the teacher’s desk in front of the white board. Bookshelves lined one wall; filled with class sets of Greek Mythology books, and the opposite wall had just windows, while the back had ancient Greek weapons hanging off hooks. Not that there was much to see outside, as it was raining quite heavily. About half the gutters in town were overflowing, much to pretty much everyone’s disgust.
Leonardo plopped down in his chair as he flipped through one of the Mythology texts. Somehow, he thought teaching a class wouldn’t be as fun as murdering cops. Then again, it was better than being caught by them, which almost happened a few months ago. His hand slowly ran down to his side and he felt the bullet scar, shivering at the memory. At first, he had felt nothing; he though the bullet had missed him, but then the wave of burning pain hit him. Roy had taken him back to his hideout and had a doctor stitch him up. But it was still one of his most painful memories.
Closing the book, Leonardo opened the desk drawer and made sure the Kimber Tactical II was still hidden under the false bottom. Yesterday, he had spent almost 5 hours rigging the room with weaponry. For example, if you were to break off the back left leg of the big desk, you would find a three foot long double-edged sword, and a Ultra 87 shotgun behind the whiteboard. The room was lined with detonation cord and high powered explosives. Yes, it was nice to have powerful friends. Leonardo closed the drawer and waited for the teenagers to pile into his classroom. When Riley finished curling her hair, she stood to look around the room. Her roommates where gone, doing their own thing. She honestly wasn't sure if she liked the idea of sharing a room. Back at her old school, she lived with her brother. They had a choice between dorms, or living at home. 'Well, back home i was at a regular school, and my brother doesn't live here.' To be honest she wasn't sure why she was here. She was put down as a level two. 'Whatever the hell that means...' But, her brother was trying to help. She understood that.
She felt as if he knew her dad had found her again. She remembered that day very well. She had walked into her Latin class, to see her dad in the desk. Before anyone had seen her she ran out. She wanted nothing to do with him anymore. She had left him in New York and that was how it was suppose to stay. She brushed her fingers against the small scar that was in front of her right ear. She winced at the memory of getting that particular scar. Her dads drunken anger, and slashing her face with a heel.
She let her mind wonder until she saw the time on her clock. She would never make it to class in time by foot. Normally she wouldn't mind being late, but this particular class was in her interests, and she didn't want to miss a thing. She grabbed her skateboard and headed out the door. On her way, she did few trick on her board, just to piss some people off. When she made it to the room, she skidded to a halt. When she looked around, she couldn't help the little smile that appeared on her mouth. She could tell that she would love this class already. The room was only filled by one other person, and Riley felt she had mistaken the time. She looked at the teacher to see a rather young, and attractive guy. By the look of him, he didn't seem to be uptight, but she could be wrong. She took a seat in the front row. Her smile getting wider every second.

Amanda was always the type to hurry to class as fast as she can. Usually to aviod long-term contact with a human being. Of course there were those select few people that kept the girl from going crazy, but she saw neither of those people on her way to and from class. So she hurried, plus lately it seemed more to avoid seeing Buck again. One time was enough, and it was bad enough so many things she tried forgetting flooded back. The hatred that burned so deep inside her was threatening to escape, after all the hard pressure she put on herself to keep that from happening. All her hard work, so she can get back home again, well she just wanted to be normal for once. Like back when she could walk down a street and not feel like everyone around her was out to harm her. It was not a nice feeling, and even worse was her ability to harm with no remorse. As a child she couldn't even harm a bug without crying like a baby.
But as she walked into the Greek Mythology room and looked around she spoted the teacher and froze. A guy, of course, it wasn't that she wasn't used to running into anyone of the opposite sex, it was that still she rather not have to be in the same room with a male. Especially older men, that was the worse, and usually she was very badly misbehaved in those classes. Even if her grades were top notch A's, her behavior was usually that of a person with straight F's. Not that behavior and grades were tied together, as she's shown many of times.
"Fuck," she said loud enough for him to hear as she made her way to a seat in the far back corner of the room. She sank in, as far down as possible and let a glare settle in her eyes. She pulled out her notebook and her ipod before turning it up as loud as she could until she was positive the screaming coming from the head phones could be heard a mile away. She wanted to test the teacher, she if he had the guts to tell her to do something. If he did, well she'll make sure his confidence was knocked down and he understood that she wasn't one to be messed with, and rather one to leave alone. Not like she didn't plan on paying attention, learning was one thing(other than music) that Amanda lived for. outfit

Zofia was usually the late girl, though her grades made up for it big time. And usually she didn't waste her time with courses that had nothing to do with anything of importance. She stuck to her all AP courses, well back at home. The girl was pretty, smart and was once popular. She liked being under the radar though, and here well it was possible. Few people knew who she was, and no one knew of her past. Not like back home, where everyone knew what her mother did and how her sister acted. Many people knew about her screwed up relationship and well, she didn't like either of that. Here, no one knew of the bruises that used to cover her body, or the way she used to love him, even after he started beating her.
No here, she was just some girl with red hair and a pretty smile. Or a girl who was fun to torment according to "Shark" whatever. No Zofia, liked it here, she knew who her friends were, back home she could never be so sure. Though for once she seemed early, only seeing two girls who seemed to walk in not long before she had. Looking at her watch she laughed, of course she'd be in class early. She didn't stop to talk to anyone, which wasn't something usually done by the red head, no she always talked to someone. Which was always the cause for her tardiness.
Sitting in the front row, next to a girl she couldn't place, not sure if she met her before or not. Zo was bad at names, and usually good at faces, but here everyone seemed to blind in. Hardly few people stood out. She could pick maybe three people out of a crowd, one was a very good friend, one she liked the other she was afraid of. All good reasons to remember who they are and what they looked like. Though everyone else, she would remember them on chat, obviously but in a hall, not likely.
She gave a slight wave, usually a very friendly person, depending on the circumstances and the place. She always seemed more edgy when there was a lot of people around. Like crowded school hallways, though she seemed to manage if she sticked near people she knew well, or tried to forget her surroundings. "Hi," she said to the girl, taking small note of the blaring music, from the back but chopping it down to someone who doesn't care about anything. She hated those types of people, but she wasn't going to confront the girl. If she wanted to ruin her life, Zo was happy to let her.

Leonardo leaned back in his chair as students started to flow in. Most just quietly shuffled into their seats, save one girl who looked ready to assassinate him. As the room filled to about two-thirds full, the trickle of students eventually stopped and Leonardo decided it was time to start the class. "Hello, my name is Mr. Hoffman and I will be teaching you Ancient Greek Mythology. If you think this class will be an easy A, you're probably right. All you really have to do is pay attention and take a few notes."
Leonardo turned around and wrote a small legend on the left panel of the two adjoined white boards. "As we travel through the curriculum, I will write down the 'Family Tree' on this side of the white board. Keep in mind that back then, there weren't any humans, so there was quite a bit of, uh, incest." He smirked as several teenagers giggled at the word. "Anyways, the names in blue are monsters or deities, the red are the Titans, the green are Olympians, and black are Demigods, which are half god, half human. I'll expand on who these groups are later."
Leonardo put most of the pens down and moved over to the right board and started writing down notes. "Ok, so at the beginning of time, there was nothing. Absolutely nothing; no land, no water, no life, nothing." A few '...'s went on the board to show the emptiness. "Then a large swirling mass appeared out of nowhere, called Khaos." He paused as he wrote 'Khaos' on the board. "In Greek Mythology, several things are spelled different ways. Another way to spell 'Khaos' is with a 'C' instead of a 'K', as it's spelled today. Are there any questions so far?" Leonardo asked, twirling the marker in-between his fingers. [/justify]

zo rolled her eyes at the idiotic teenagers who snickered at the teacher's incest comment. really, were all teenagers this stupid? she had noticed that few people didn't snicker, put even then, that was maybe three out of the twenty something in the class. frowning, she leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and tilting her lucious red hair back, stiffing a groan as she silently took notes.
she saved a few pages in the front for the 'family tree' and then started to take notes about nothing and khaos and whatever else this guy said. seriously, did he just give them a spelling lesson? oh well, she wrote both spellings down on her paper before making a list of some of the things she remembered about khaos. one of her great friends used to just speak of mythology a lot, usually she paid little attention, though she must of absorbed some of the knowledge cause a few things went on her paper under khaos.
deciding she needed to make sure she was right, her hand popped up, but before the teacher could call on her, she was already speaking, "wasn't she the first goddess to appear after the creation of the universe and doesn't her name mean gap or something like that?" feeling satisfied she lowered her hand to her lap, and placed the brightest smile one her face. this was going to be a fun class, and she wanted to be a definite teachers pet. mostly because, well mr. hoffman was majorly cute.

Riley sighed and watched Mr. Hoffman write notes. She never took her eyes off the board as she wrote down the notes neatly. This took lots of practice, usually someone would end up writing lopsided, but Riley only glanced at her notebook page for a second. She couldn't help but glower when she heard a few students giggle. Really? Couldn't people just grow up? With a roll of her eyes she continued to listen to the man go on about things she already knew.
A small smirk spread across her face when Zo spoke, her face was priceless, the looks of a goodie-to-shoes. There was going to be a lot of sucking up with the girls in this class. Hell even boys may join in. The teacher was indeed very fine looking, but Riley didn't care much for it. She didn't really see the point in flirting with a teacher, it would only cause trouble. Though, what Zo said was wrong, and Riley couldn't ignore that tingling to correct her. "Actually..if you don't mind me interrupting. The first goddess to to escape Khaos was Gaia. She was the living embodiment of the Earth. People called her Mother Earth, 'cause well..her name means Earth, stuff related to mother nature. She was also the mother of the Titans...." Riley realized she was babbling off when she probably shouldn't. She but her lip, before hearing giggles. People probably laughing at her geek out. "Ah..sorry...you probably want to teach the class..." She said to the teacher before blushing deeply and putting her head down. great...first day, and I am already ranting off to the class...
