Hope closed her eyes tightly, laying back in her bed. She could feel herself back at home, with her mother, her father, her younger sister. Oh, how she missed her old life, back when she was always happy and when she had no care in the world. If she could just learn to forget, she knew that she could still be that way. But no, she had to go and attempt suicide, landing her in a place for crazy teenagers. A place that wasn't even helping her, all it was doing was keeping her from the things that she missed the most. She let out a sigh and opened her eyes, looking up at the white ceiling. She was hoping that her level would be down to a one by her senior year, so she could leave. If she just stayed out of the way of everything, act like she had been acting.. all nice and happy, then maybe she could leave. It was worth a shot.
She picked herself up from her bed and pulled some clothes out. She needed a reason to get out of her room, she needed to dance. She was co-captain for the dance team, after all. She couldn't just be lazy, she needed to stay at the top of her game. She quickly changed out of her school attire and into something easy enough to dance in. She ran a hand through her curly hair, before grabbing her bag and walking out of her dorm. The hallway was pretty quiet, the girls of the school probably tired from school. It had been a pretty brutal day for everyone that were there for classes. It seemed that every teacher had it out for them that day.
She pushed open the door and went outside, the warmer air hitting her face. She was so glad that it was warming up and the snow was leaving the surface of the small city. She let her bare feet walk across the cool grass, intent on going to the fitness center. If anyone saw the small girl, they'd probably think she was just another anorexic working off the fat she thought she'd put on. No, she was going to dance. Her anorexia had been getting slightly better, but she wasn't able to take more than just a small cup of jello. She pushed the door open to the fitness center and pushed around some of the things. so she had enough room to move around.
Hope looked at herself in the ceiling-to-floor mirrors and smiled slightly. She set up her iPod to the song she needed to dance to, before placing it in her iPod doc and pressing play. Immediately, she let herself get into the dance. Her expression, her movement, it all expressed feeling. That was something she had always been able to do when she was dancing, she was able to let the people feel the emotion coming from the song. She always tried her best to do that. The dance that she was currently performing showed off alot of her skills in gymnastics and jumping. She never missed one jump, one turn in this particular dance, having practiced it so many times before she moved here. It was her favorite dance, just because of all the tricks she had to do in the one song.
When she finished the dance, she walked over to her bag, grabbing the water and taking a sip of it. Her eyes scanned the room she was in, before taking a long sip of the liquid in her hand. She then bit her bottom lip and looked down at the ground, thinking back on the dance she just did with a smile.
