Alicia felt horrible after finding out that her daughters weren't so happy to see her. Of course it wasn't like they didn't have the right to not want her here. She didn't fight for them, she didn't know how, or have the resources. She wanted them, oh she did, she cried for years after they were taken. She was working graveyard to make enough money for rent and food for her children. She didn't have babysitting money so she left them with her mother. Expecting her to be a good grandmother, yet she wasn't.
She caused her children to be ripped away from her and she had no money to hire a good lawyer to help her get them back. She got a crappy state lawyer who caused her to have her kids far away and no visititation. Even though it wasn't her who neglected her children, she did everything she could to give them a good life. She even started working on a degree and more on her art then on the fact that she failed at life and all the things she wanted to do.
But then Florencia, her oldest and the one she always loved no matter what, had found her. She showed up one day at her home and Alicia hugged her so hard and told her everything. All her mistakes, the fact that Ash has a different father. All of it, she gave all her knowledge to Flo, and when she found out that Flo's father had been treating her like crap her heart broke and she promised her she'd make it all better.
So when she found out Florencia was at Hawthorne she applied for a job and was happy when she got it. Though she didn't know Ash was here, and when she found it out, she'd thought it would be a happy reunion but Ash didn't seem to want that, and it hurt Alicia a lot.
So when class was over and she couldn't think of anything to do she walked happily to the staff lounge and decided to relax some. She sat at the round table and pulled out her sketchbook and started to sketch deciding to draw her children the way she constantly remembered them. Her two perfect angels, who were the sweetest best behaved kids she ever knew. She finished up and smiled,"Perfect."
