problem: Amanda is irrationally afraid of men, to like an extreme. She was raped and it caused her at first to stay away from them as much as possible then she became violent. Trying all she can to get them to leave her alone. Though she is more bark then bite, she will bite if necessary. She is slightly better now then before, she has few guy friends but most of them are either small enough where she figures she can win in a fight or gay. So yeah, straight men and her still don't mix well. overall:Amanda can usually be a very sweet and caring person for the most part. She is protective of her friends and if you first look at her she seems shy and quiet. Though when bothered she can get an attitude, with everyone. Usually trying to push people away from her. She gets violent when she's around men, they bring it out of her. She usually just threatens, never actually doing anything unless they get to close or touch her.
She's smart and does her school work. She would of been a senior and graduating early, but the switch from home to here, they lost some of her credits so she's taking her clases ALL over again. But it doesn't bother her, easy A's.

Amanda was born to Alexander and Andrea Tumlin, they named her Amanda so they could be a family of A's. She never knew her fater personally because he went got killed when she was two months. He was trying to stop a bar fight and got stabbed. She hates her father for this and always will.
Her mother, not having a degree or anything started turning tricks for money. She never brought her clients home while Amanda was kid. She thought her mommy was a waitress and she was babysat by her aunt. But her aunt found out when she was twelve and refused to watch Amanda anymore.
Around this time her mother started dating a man named Maxwell who knew of her mother's lifestyle. He would come over when Her mother wasn't there. One day he cornered her and raped her. She tried telling her mom but she wouldn't listen. But Maxwell broke up with her mom anyway.
After that Amanda freaked when she went around any guy, never having a father figure she thought all men wanted sex. It started of as a small fear but it grew to be a big phobia. When she was thirteen she couldn't stand next to a guy without falling into a fit of tears.
It grew worse and worse over the years and now she channels that sadness to anger and pulls up a facade of just being a bad girl. When a guy comes near her she'd cross her arms and glare, hoping they will go away.
When she was fifteen it got really worse, she got violent towards men. When they stopped walking away and ignored her threats she attacked a guy with a knife. That was when everyone noticed she was screwed up in the head and sent her to Hathorne. She has been here since. She doesn't hurt many people anymore since at the moment they seem to leave her alone, but if a man stayed near her after her threats, it might not end well for him or anyone near her.
