BUT IT DON'T GO FAR, IT COME BACK FLOATING
eyes: dark brown
face: he seems to have a pretty ageless face, he looks about the same now as he did a decade ago
body: 6'1'' 175lbs, tall, appears lean but has muscle to him but not too much
fashion: he wears buttoned shirts and pants most of the time but has more casual clothes too
playby: keanu reeves
overall: Scott is well dressed and takes good care of his appearance. He's not exceedingly rich but wears buttoned shirts and pants more than just jeans and a sweater (though he would do that as well)

AND I WATCH IT WASH UP WITH THE DEAD FISH
AND I WATCH IT WASH UP WITH THE DEAD FISH
dislikes: losing his wife like that, feeling helpless, the fact that there is no real cure for what Anna has, letting things get to him, seeing Anna upset
strengths: patient, understanding, willing to give someone the benefit of a doubt, non-judgemental
weaknesses: too trusting, looks sad most of the time, quiet
secrets: he won't take his wedding ring off because it feels wrong to do that, like he's on the way to forgetting Isabelle and he never wants to do that
worst memory: the day that Isabelle died. everything was quiet, no one said very much. Scott just sat there, not knowing what to do or say and having to tell Anna was difficult.
best memory: the day Anna was born, he went right to the hospital and stayed with Isabelle (who was in labor for about 14 hours) who kicked him out around dinner time when she found out he hadn't eaten all day. He finally went down to the caferia bought a meal but then couldn't eat it and went back up to Isabelle and stayed until Anna was born
desires: for Anna to grow up and live a normal life
pet peeves: people giving up on themselves
overall: Scott is a very patient man, he takes his time with people. He is understand, sympathetic and does actually care. He is your typical father figure, always trying to do what's best. He's generally more introverted than not but he has no problems at all in social situations, he can teach a class, address a crowd, with no problems at all but he does like to keep his personal life to himself. Scott has a very sentimental side, he still wears his wedding ring and can bear to take it off even though his wife has been dead for a year now.

BUT IT AIN'T QUITE DEAD, IT JUST IS LIKE THIS
BUT IT AIN'T QUITE DEAD, IT JUST IS LIKE THIS
siblings: one younger brother
other relatives: Wife Isabelle [deceased], daughter Anna [14]
history: Scott was only 16 when he started dating Isabelle. She was beautiful and kind and they got along great. When they were 17 and just finishing up their final year of school in Halifax, Canada, Isabelle realized she was pregnant.
Fortunately, things were alright. Isabelle's father wasn't happy about it (her mother had died when she was seven. She jumped off a building because of delusions. She had schizophrenia) but Scott's were alright after the initial shock. About two months later, they graduated and when they were 18 and Isabelle was already 7 months pregnant, they got married.
She had the baby and named her Anna. The couple were happy. Isabelle worked part time and took care of their baby with the help of Scott's parents (who they were living with). Scott attended college full time and worked as well to save up enough for a place of their own and have a better future for their daughter.
When she was seven, Anna was diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia and when she was ten, she had to be taken out of school and home schooled. When she was only 12, her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. Scott didn't take it well but he held everything together, after all, he had a young daughter and a sick wife to take care of.
Work became a form of escape. They needed the money and although his parents did try to help, there was only so much they could do. A year later, his wife died and Scott was devastated. Taking care of Anna was becoming increasingly difficult with her schizophrenia so when he heard about a job in Maine, he applied for it immediately and transferred his daughter there, where they would better understand her condition and help her.
