overall: One of his most obvious features is his almost unnaturally blue eyes. His style's been defined as 'emo' and 'scene' but he doesn't care. He wears what he likes and yeah his hair is black and sure he has a few piercings but he still likes to think that he's very much an individual, punk'ing up the scene style just a bit.

dislikes: his mother, his father, the fact that he can't really play guitar any more (he can but his left arm cramps up), the scars on his left forearm, being called suicidal (he doesn't think it counts since he sort of had his reasons)
strengths: very friendly, positive and optimistic
weaknesses: prone to depression and suicidal thoughts
secrets: the hyper happy clyde thing is an act but he's had it so long he doesn't know the difference anymore
worst memory: his mother saying it was all his fault that his dad left and that she would kill herself and it'd be all because of him and he'd have nothing left (he was about 13)
best memory: a talk he had with his step-dad after the second suicide attempt, they got to know each other better and turns out his step dad actually does care and wants to help him
desires: he just wants to grow up, move out and live his life (away from his mother because he'd never going to forgive her for what she put him through)
pet peeves: not being able to play a regular guitar anymore and needing to use a left-handed one
overall: He's a nice guy, you wouldn't really know that he had tried to kill himself twice. He gets along great with most people and had a brilliant sense of humour. He likes a good laugh and a great party. He knows how to not over-do things like drinking too much etc. He had a pretty positive outlook on the world except where it concerns his family. He doesn't judge or believe everything he hears. He's a pretty smart kid and streetwise too.

history: He was born in Perth, Western Australia and he is very much an Aussie, through and through. Life was pretty good, until the age of 14 when his parents got divorced. He took it incredibly well but his mother did not (His dad cheated many times and he was barely even in his son's life anyway). She suffered from depression and blamed him for a lot of things. She would talk about suicide and how she would do it but she never meant it. The woman was exaggerating things for sympathy and attention, meanwhile, her son was being affected by this. He hated being blamed for things and he knew for a fact that his mother was over it and seeing someone.
He knew that her claims of thinking about suicide were just to get attention and he began to think about it himself just to shut her up. Only his thoughts of suicide were more real. A few months before his 15th birthday he sliced down his left forearm, deep enough to lose a lot of blood and pass out. His mother found him and freaked out but her boyfriend kept calm and brought the boy to the hospital. As it turned out, his mother's rich American boyfriend was actually a pretty nice guy.
He recovered pretty well except for some damage to his tendons making it hard for him to grip things hard and he wouldn't be winning any arm wrestling contests (if he was using his left arm) any time soon either, and of course there were the scars running down his left forearm. His mother used him as a means to get more attention, telling everyone about how her son tried to kill himself because his dad left her. It made the boy even angrier but his soon to be step father (they got engaged around this time) was very understanding and made sure the boy was actually alright.
Almost immediately after the wedding (the boy took his step-dad's last name. It was his choice and his mother thought it was sweet but he only did it because the man was the only person in his family that he could trust and actually liked), they all moved to America and his mother's attempt to gain attention from the world continue. It got bad with her love of playing 'happy family' and constantly deriding her son for his 'unique' sense of style. She would tell him to buy certain clothes and to cut his hair etc. It was incredibly grating and the boy barely dealt with it. He was angry and wanted to escape her but he couldn't. He knew that running away wouldn't be a good option and his step-dad was great so it was only really half as bad. Still, he was lashing out in angry (at inanimate objects or himself) and eventually over doses on some pills be bought from a friend at school. His step-dad found him again but with his mother's reaction, he thought that sending the boy away for a while was his best chance.. This was how he ended up at Hawthorne.
