history: rosie was born in bretagne, france, a large part of france in the northwest known for it's marvelous beaches and cultural values. rosie's father left her mother before she was born, so her mother had to raise rosie and her older sister hirondelle alone. life was hard, but the family always managed to stay optimistic and has happy as they could possibly be. rosie lived a normal french girl life, also learning english from her mother, as her mom had spent much time in the states. when rosie was twelve, her mother met a man who spent time in the states living in bretagne. they began to date, and then, two years later, they decided to marry. they wanted to move back to the states for this, so they whisked rosie and hirondelle off to charleston, south carolina.
rosie didn't fit in well with her new classmates in charleston. she was a chubby fourteen year old, and was often made fun of for her accent and her weight. she began dieting, skipping meals, and even puking up the meals she did eat. she exercised vigorously for hours at a time. her mother and step-father became aware of this, and when she was fifteen (already had lost 60 pounds) they sent her to hawthorne academy. she's incredibly skinny now, and so far, fits in well.
