Chance sat out on one of the benches, hunched forward with his elbows resting at the edge of the table. He was new here but that wasn't the problem. He didn't like being put in some place without being asked if he even wanted to be here. Sure, he didn't really have a choice but he hated that. Not having a choice was what made this worse. He looked angry as he sat alone, fist clenched, just looking for an excuse to hit something. even sitting quietly didn't seem to help at all. It just made it worse, letting the anger build up until his fist slammed hard against the table. That made him relax just a fraction. He needed a way to vent, to let it all out but an acceptable way was always hard to find. Getting up off the bench, he walked over to a tree and stood there for a moment. Chance was really starting to get restless. He needed to calm down but he didn't know how. With his hands on the tree, he rested his head against it and closed his eyes, trying to think of things that might help him not feel like ripping something apart for no real reason.

Sometimes I give myself the creepsSometimes my mind plays tricks on me After meeting Anna, Cass was happy to be getting out of her room. She remembered how fun it was to meet new people. Her tiny spout of loneritis disappeared and she wanted to be around people again. Of course she had no one to hang out with. Maybe Zac, but well she wasn’t sure about that kid. He thought she was crazy, and she couldn’t handle that at the moment. She was still all wound up on making people happy, she wouldn’t be able to handle Zac’s not happy self anytime soon. Or at least not for a little while. Maybe on chat but that would be it.
So she went in a different way then where she was sure he was, the sports field. Hell maybe the kitty was there. The one she watched him and Flo color. She should of protected it, but she was useless. Too weak to actually hurt anyone. Hell she seemed too weak to even make it out of her room, but she managed. She even managed to keep her little problem under wraps. No one knew what was going on in the crazy girls head. Not even Zac, who knew more about her then anyone. Okay well he knew that she was crushing, and trying not to. But that was about it, the rest was all her own. The trying to kill herself, the not eating, the whole reason she does all of it. It was her own little tiny secret, and she was glad to keep it that way. Very glad actually.
Even her therapist haven’t realized she hasn’t eaten, or maybe they did and they just didn’t want to say anything. If they started to wonder, she could just say it was all the exercise she got, she lost the weight she got when she ate. Though every once in awhile she’ll get little spurts of hunger pain, and she was usually good at ignoring it. When she had something to do of course, but lately that was hard. She had been in her bed practically in tears cause she had nothing to do and it hurt too bad. One of the other reasons she started moving about the school again. She wasn’t sure where she was headed until she came to the picnic tables. She had sat on the floor and looked up at the sky, watching the clouds move. She was hoping it would rain here so she could dance happily in the drops of pure amazing things from the sky.
But as she watched the sky, and it didn’t seem like it was going to rain anytime soon, she looked away and noticed someone. She was always happy when someone was around her, so she stood up happily and walked towards him. She hadn’t met him yet and she was glad to find something to do. So glad she practically skipped towards him and placed her hand out for a shake, “Hi! I’m Cass. I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure to meet you.”

Going as far as to punch the tree, Chance was pretty annoyed about things the way the way. Everything suck, he wasn't sure why but he hated it all. His parents just didn't get it and they never would. No one seemed to get it. His sisters were always so damn perfect as far as their parents were concerned but Chance was just never good enough. Turning around, he leaned his back against the tree. His eyes still closed as he tried not to think about the things that made him angry. Unfortunately that only made it worse. All he could think about were the things that pissed him off so much he needed to punch his fist through a door or something. When he heard a voice, Chance reacted immediately, just the same way he always did. "Go away!," he said through gritted teeth. He didn't want to have to deal with anyone right now but this girl was here trying to say hello.. It was rude though, what he did. He knew that. It was just an immediate reaction but he didn't need to scare some girl by being a total asshole just because he was angry at something else. He didn't care to be too nice either though. Opening his eyes, he looked over at the girl. She was blonde and beautiful and despite what he said, she was still smiling. She had a beautiful smile, almost like an angel.. Wait, what? What was he thinking? He shouldn't think that. "Sorry," he said, though he still looked a little angry. She was pretty, though a little on the thin side but Chance was busy being angry at the world, same way he always was. "Name's Chance," he told her, figuring he probably owed her as much since he had started off by yelling at her and all when she had done nothing wrong.

Sometimes I give myself the creepsSometimes my mind plays tricks on me Cass felt a frown pull on her lips when this guy practically yelled at her to go away. She couldn't believe her luck lately, she used to be so happy and now, here she was, scared and confused and feeling the need to ball into a bunch of tears just to relieve herself from her usual pain. She turned her face from him, letting her hair fall to her face, hiding the fact that tears were falling down her face. She wasn't usually this emotional, ever. But her body ached at the way people seemed to treat her here. She thought she'd be treated better then normal. Nope she was wrong.
Then she heard his words and she looked up, and whispered softly,"Sorry." She hugged her body, and looked up at him,"There isn't anything to be sorry for. I should apologize". She always felt that way, needing to make other people happy, needing to make other people understand. That she didn't mean to, didn't want to be the girl she was, the overly annoying person that people hated. But her smile was back on her lips, because, she felt slightly better. This guy said sorry and she was happy about this.
"Hi Chance." she said putting on her pretty good happy facade that she always wore as she lifted her head. Though her puffy eyes contrdicted her happy voice and smile, she just hoped he'd just blow off the whole crying thing. "I didn't mean to really bother you at all," she said her smile faltering only slightly before being all bright and sunshiny.

"No," he said quite simply. She shouldn't apologize, she hadn't done anything wrong at all. Chance was just usually this way... No. Usually he was pretty quiet and he kept to himself. Chance was reserved and kept to himself but he always seemed cold and distant. It was just easier that way though. With his condition he got angry suddenly and those outbursts could be pretty bad but at least this way it kept people at distance and had them expecting such an outburst.
She said hi but failed to give him her name. Chance just stared at her, looking a little curious. She looked so happy and cheerful. That was the exact opposite of what he was. Chance was sure it should be annoying but then maybe he just had a lot more of a tolerance to it than most people. After all he had dealt with lots of happy, preppy cheerleaders. Or perhaps it was because there was something a little off about her and he had picked up on it.
Why was she faking it though. What was the point of that? it wasn't like that helped anyone or anything. "Are you okay?" he asked, not able to help himself. He was curious, Chance always was. "What's your name?" he asked.

Sometimes I give myself the creepsSometimes my mind plays tricks on me Cass frowned when he told her no, she wasn't used to be told not to apologize. Most of the time, she either was accepted or told her to fuck off. No one told her straight up no. It was a strange situation and she didn't know how to deal with this at all. So she looked down at the ground and closed her eyes as she tried to think this through. Finally she gave up and opened her eyes back open and looked at him. Not saying anything more to the whole apologies thing, though she still felt the need to get forgiven.
She let her normal smile go back on her lips as she tried to forget about the previous situation. She decided to start fresh, it might of been easier that way. No need to feel horrible about him yelling at her. She didn't do anything, though she felt like she did everything and did it wrong.
Her smile faltered again as he asked if she was okay and she nodded,"I'm amazingly peachy." No one would know it was a lie, unless one the lied all the time and knew every single way someone lied. Or they read people easily and she hoped this guy was neither of them. Cause when she lied her voice was a tad notch higher and her smile threatened to leave though she always seemed to force it back in place before someone caught on. Then he asked her name and she smiled,"Annabelle Cassie Bianchi. But Cass is fine."

She smiled a lot and it was kind of strange. It seemed like something was just a little off about her. She seemed happy but perhaps too happy if that were even possible. No one was overly happy for no reason. There had to be something but what? Maybe she was trying to cover up the fact that she wasn't actually happy. That was a possibility. Everyone here had their own share of problems so she probably had hers.
"Amazingly peachy?" Chance repeated. She was over-doing it a little but he wasn't gonna question it. She probably had her reasons and why would he try to make her talk about it when it was clear she was trying to cover up whatever the underlying problem is and just move on. Chance wouldn't do that.. Yeah, RIGHT!
"You're lying," he told her, straight forward and to the point. He wasn't gonna mess around with this or go in circles around the topic at hand. What was the point of that?
"You gonna tell me what's wrong, Cass?" he asked, leaning back against the tree. Chance wasn't always so blunt, it was just when it wasn't in the best of moods or just didn't care too much about making friends or being overly friendly. She probably had a a whole list of problems and he wasn't pointing at any specific one. He left that up to her to do.
