Summer had a few buddies here and there despite how she tended to act, and more recently sense she was acting sensible she made more friends. Today, she was in the park with her new buddy Harlow. They didn't really do the same drugs, but they both shared one of the same dealers and today they had managed to get connected with what they wanted. Summer was getting some Oxycodon and Harlow had asked him for something else. The girls caught the bus early and came out to the park to wait for him to show up.
"What time did he tell you he would be here?" she asked lifting an eybrow looking over at the girl. He had said something about like two or something to her, but he was usually early, but then again maybe she was just itching for her pills, because she had a lot of money on this. Well, on her. If she had fronted him the money then Summer would be in a bitchy mood.
If he stood her up then she would be done with the dude, because well he had business staring him in the face and he wasn't even there. She swung back and forth on one of the swings, because that is where she had decided to plant her but when they got there. "Other then school whats new?" she asked Harlow so she didn't seem all about the drugs although she was craving.

Harlow didn't mind being off on her own. In fact, she did most of her writing when she wasn't surrounded by prying eyes or questioning looks. But she also enjoyed good company, so she readily agreed to go out with Summer to meet up with a dealer. From what she heard, he was dependable and only sold good quality products, but that was getting harder and harder to believe as the minutes ticked by. The bus ride there had been full of expectations and she hated being disappointed.
"Uhh, 'round two," she said after giving it some thought, her bright blue eyes peering down at her cellphone for the time and then over at the other girl. "That about right? What'd he tell you?" If their stories collaborated, then maybe he was just late. Or maybe he was just a stupid little prick that didn't know better than to mess with 'crazy people.'
At least they were at the park, so it wasn't some shady little alley behind god knows where. Not that Harlow was the type to scare easily, but at least they had something to look at here other than bare walls. Moving to sit on the swing beside Summer's, she traced shapes on the sand with the tip of her foot, looking up at the question.
"Not much. I'm sort of at a standstill with my writing... writer's block, I suppose." She paused, trying to think of something more amusing. She hadn't really done much smalltalk lately, since most people were more than willing to do all of the talking. Her eyes wandered around their surroundings, before falling on a small sandbox. "I lost my shoes there once," she pointed out with a tilt of her head, "It's like quicksand when you're blitzed. Finally found them about a week ago, on someone else's feet." She then lowered her gaze to her own feet, shaking them a bit for emphasis with a smirk.
"Got 'em back though. What about you?"

Doing this alone wasn't so bad, but she was happy when her and Harlow were both running low enough to need to come out together. The quality of his stuff was amazing, but today it seemed like he was letting her down. The girl was rather pissed off, because he was like usually on his shit. This was her main dealer. She looked down at her phone at the time again. He was really starting to test her patience. Was he and idiot? He was losing business of two trusty customers.
Summer flipped open her phone and went to her text messeges. It said he would be here around two so the girls weren't stupid! Her cell phone read 1:55 pm. Maybe, it was her being ansy or maybe it was the fact that she was starting to get a little shakey. That is when she tended to get into her bitchy. "I wonder what his deal is.." she said her voice kind of trailing off in dissapointment.
Five minutes wouldn't be so bad as long as he showed up on time and the girls didn't have to wait, because that would be crap. If he didn't show up all together then Summer would be pissed. The swings were entertaining though for the time being as the two girls waited and attempted to make small talk and what not. She put her phone back into her pocket and swung back and forth a little bit faster.
Summer didn't know much about Harlow's writing, but she knew she enjoyed it? So she pouted out her lower lip when she said something about not being able to write lately. "That stinks." Usually Summer was a little chatterbox when she hung out with people or when she was around because that was just how she was made to be when she was on something, but right now she wasn't amused. It wasn't Harlow's fault though. The convo made Summer look over at the sandbox. It did look like you could get stuck in it. "So someone took your shoes...thats rude." she said looking back at her.
"I mean who does that?" she asked shaking her head disapprovingly. Then it was her turn to tell her what she had been up too. "I think the most interesting thing I've done lately would have to be laser tag..." she said with a small shrug. "Its a really fun game." she admitted

One good thing about being in this school was that there was always someone with the same problem. Need a fix? Call up a new friend and go out to stock up. Same went for booze, candy, and whatever else. Another thing everyone could relate to? Anger. If this guy was a flake, then Harlow was going to ruin him. He would never be able to sell another damn thing around here again. See, this might be an academy, but reputation was still an important factor, especially for dealers.
Curling her hands up into loose fists, the brunette willed her hands to stop shaking, otherwise seeming to be completely under control. They'd started sometime last night, when she was trying to draw in between checks. After being here for a while, she wasn't interrupted as much by the nurses. It had all become routine, up until they started getting new girls on their floor. "He doesn't know who he's messing with," the Brit muttered as she reached into her back pockets for her smokes.
Pulling out one from a small silver tin, she stared at it for a long moment. One of her exes had given it to her as a gift. Harlow didn't get many gifts... but then again, who did with an alcoholic mother and an absent father? She rarely even celebrated her birthday. Holding a cigarette between her teeth, she tossed her hair out of her face and turned her head to watch Summer. Okay, so her pout was adorable. "S'alright," she mumbled, before adding, "Want to bum one?" In her experience, cigs helped a little with cravings. It was all a mind trick, anyway.
"More like they found it," Harlow smirked, before shrugging her shoulders slightly. "Anyone whose feet are cold, I suppose? Pretty understandable in this weather." Clearly, she'd gotten over the whole shoe ordeal. She didn't care as much about material things--or shoes, in particular--as most girls did. "Laser tag? How do you play that?" Maybe she knew, maybe she didn't. Either way, there was a mischievous grin on her features, like she was about to find out.

Being dependable was a noble quality of someone running a business. Someone needed you to deliver your product and it was best you did or your repuation would be shot to shit. She was sure Harlow was going to spread this around if he didn't show up. She was sure to have other dealers she could reccomend to the girl, but then she wasn't sure Harlow would accept because it wasSummer who did reccomend this person ad he was making her look bad. "Fucking jerk." she mumbled under her breath. Yeah, she was pissed, but she could tell the other girl was as wel. It just was not right.
She looked over to see her clenching her fist into balls like she was going to go and punch something or she could punc something. That was not good news for the dud at all. If at wasn't enough she heard her tone and heard what she had said. She was not playing around at all. "Here I'll call him." she said and she dialed the number, because she didn't save numbers in her phone she memorized them just in case. Ring ring ring...Hi youve reached 940- and then she clicked on him. "What the hell..." she groaned.
Summer watched her pull out the tin and pull out a smoke from it. Smoking well nicatine wasn't really her thing, for the most part, but she did occasionally. Well, when she was pissed or disappointed. This would qualify. When she put the smoke in between her teeth and all well there was jus somehthing sexy about a girl that smoked. That was her opinion of course. When she offered her one she nodded. "Yeah, sure. she said with a nod, because if she wasn't going to get what she wanted she might as well do something to calm her nerves.
"True" she said knowing that that was indeed a fact behind them haven actually taken her shoes. "Well, it sucks, but at least their keeping someones feet warm? she said with a shrug, because it was indeed what she had just said and what was happening. The shoes were not that big of a deal it seemed, but it still did stink. "Well, theres a shop not to far uptown and well they give you belts with lives and laser guns, and once you shoot someone the lives on your belt slowly disappear until of course you lose and its in the dark so its a bit harder...it is really fun." she said with a smirk. The last time she played she ended up bargaining a little with kisses, but it was just so she didn't lose so fast and it made i kind of interesting, but that was a different story. She noted the grin. "Did you want to play?" she asked her curiously.

Harlow wasn't mad at Summer for the dealer's actions. Quite the contrary. She knew that they were both being screwed over and she wasn't the type to take out her anger on others like that. No, that was more her mother's thing, and she didn't want to be anything like her. "Cheers to that," she mumbled with a bit of a scoff at Summer's remarks about the guy being a jerk, nodding her head in agreement. Maybe she was a little more bitter than usual because she was cutting it so close, but she couldn't exactly make it better without a fix, now could she? Dammit.
You could peg her for alcohol or even as a suicidal--with much resistance on her part, because she still claimed it was accidental--but not really for anger. That didn't mean she wouldn't knock the guy a good one if she saw him. Just give her a couple more hours and an empty box of cigarettes. When Summer started to dial, Harlow exhaled slowly, pursing her lips together to blow out smoke rings. It was a technique she had learned when she was younger. She'd go out on the porch when her mother started throwing things and just smoke.
"Lemme guess... straight to voicemail?" the Brit asked after Summer slammed the phone shut, quirking a brow in a hint of amusement. People could get really ugly 'round here when they were pissed, but Summer... well, she just didn't fit the angry mold. At least they could be disappointed together, smoking away in Brookside Park. Not her idea of the best day ever, but hey, maybe the other brunette could turn it around.
"I wonder what they'd say if they knew they belonged to a crazy person," Harlow stated thoughtfully with a bit of a smirk, making a mental note to mark the insides of her shoes next time. Maybe with her name, or just something obscene that would make them run away screaming. Like headless stick figures or something. "Might not fancy them too much then." The far away look in her eyes seemed to dissipate a little when Summer explained the game, turning her head to meet her gaze with a tilted head.
"Well, we can wait, but..." Harlow glanced down at the time on her cellphone once more, her nostrils flaring a little, but her grin remaining fixed on her crooked lips. "That'd be like waiting for the sky to fall. So we might as well do something while we're out, yeah?"

Saying that Summer was slightly frustrated at the moment would be a bit of an understatement because well she felt that this dealer was betraying her trust. That was slightly weird, but she really did need what she asked for and now it was too late to call her other dealer because he was out on other runs. Supply and demand in the drug market it was just kind of how it worked. She smirked at her comment though, because it really did lighten her mood. "I guess I have to take my business elsewhere..oh well I guess its a lesson learned.."

"It rang for a little bit then he sent me to voicemail which pisses me off even more like why have a phone if you're not going to answer it?" she said and she made sure it was shoved back in her pocket decently. Summer wanted her fix because if not she got really bitchy if someone accidently pinched the wrong nerve. "This just flat out kind of sucks..its like someone saying a kid can't have candy after they promised to get them one." she said with a small pout.
"Yeah, things are always different when people figure out where you're from...i think they might give them back?" she said with a shrug. Harlow didn't really seem that crazy to her. Sure she could be, but she hadnt seen it. Sure everyone in Hawthrone was considered crazy one way or another, because if not they wouldn't be there they'd be home seing a shrink. She figured though she was right. They might not like the shoes if they knew where they came from some people could be really judgemental? Shoe's were shoes nonetheless none the more.
"Yeah I think it would be pointless I mean I doubt he's going to show.." she said with a small sigh and smiled at her. "So did you want to try laser tag or did you want to do something else a go?" she asked her there were other options Summer just had to think a little more.

Although it didn't really play out on her face, Harlow was feeling a whole array of emotions. First, she was pissed. That whole saying about diamonds being a girl's best friend is bullshit. It's all about the drugs. Little colored pills, a blunt, whatever. It didn't have to be pretty and it didn't have to sparkle. It just had to take the edge off. So that brings us to... oh, I guess that's it. She might not believe in marriage and the whole shindig, but she was faithful to being high...
Best. Commitment. Ever.
Yeah, even when the withdrawal symptoms were a total bitch... but at least they were having some light banter. "Guess so," she agreed, before flicking off the end of her cig. "Beats me. Only thing I can gather from that is he got some advice from Lady Gaga and lost his phone, or someone else already crammed it down his throat..." She lifted her free hand, before adding, "I vote for the second option."
Turning her head to catch the pout, Harlow chuckled. "I have candy," she pointed out, but sighed a bit before she continued. "Literally." Sure, so suckers were good for about ten minutes or so, at the very most, but what then? At the remark about the shoes, she simply nodded. "Especially true for us. The other day when I went to stock up on sugar, the cashier was staring at me and another girl like we were going to grow another head."
She failed to mention that she also intimidated him. She didn't want Summer to think that she had anger issues or anything. No, she simply saw an opportunity and she went for it.
Harlow felt her lips curl into a smile, returning it as the other brunette spoke. No use crying over spilled milk, she supposed. Lifting up her hand and tapping her chin with her index finger in faux thought, she sorted through her options. She was out here at the park, sitting around with a pretty girl, and their dealer was a flake. "Who says we can only pick one? Let's give laser tag a go and see what else we come up with," she winked, her spontaneity surfacing in spades. She'd be damned if her evening was going to be ruined.

Though she couldn't tell by Harlow's face the girl kind of felt like she could be pissed off for the both of them. Sure, she was a level two, but she could only go so long without having drugs. It wasn't the thought of being on them, but the thought that she didn't have them at all to calm herself at anytime. That is what upset her though most. Drugs were like her vitamins. They helped her become big and strong and function through out her day.
"Thats very clever, but I doubt it considerig the dude, isn't smart enough to figure out we don't have pokerfaces he could read" The girl was more clever and she was just merely copying her Lady Gaga inspired facts? She felt kind of like a dork though, because seh felt like she didn't make a much sense or sound as cool. "Yeah, Im with you its two to one...so he dies" she said with a smirk.
Summer listned and she couldn't help but grin. This girl was kind of well awesome. She had candy it was really cute. "Do you now?" she asked and then she watched her pull out That made her smile. She loved candy and while it wasn't drugs the scenerio played out perfectly.
Looking down at her phone and at the time then up at Harlow again after she had said they didn't have to choose just one. That was true the two of them had plenty of time to do multiple things! It would be fun even if they had to do it with out their posion. "Good point" she said and nodded. "Okay Im in"

Judging by the other girl's equally unpleased demeanor, Harlow wondered what would happen if the guy did show up now. Would they take it anyway, or tell him to hit the road? But it was only a passing notion, for she no longer cared to associate with that dealer. He was officially blacklisted in her mind. One thing was choosing to go without drugs, but another was being deprived of them because some stupid git couldn't keep his promise. No, no, no. That just would not do.
At Summer's remark, she quirked a brow playfully and chuckled. So the girl did have it in her... well, alright then. "What a shame, you'd have a lovely pokerface," she retorted with a smirk of her own and a playful glint in her icy blues. The foreign brunette had a knack for being clever, but not many people were able to sift through her references. So kudos to Summer for picking it up so quickly, as it was rather random. "Deal."
Extending her hand with a lolli for Summer, Harlow felt a little childish. They were on the swings in the park, plotting their revenge against a boy, while sharing candies and cigarettes. But she decided not to think about it too much. It was what it was. "Yep. I wasn't bluffing. I dunno 'bout you, but it helps with the cravings sometimes."
Shrugging, she moved out of the sand and threw her cig down on to the concrete, putting it out with her shoe and sticking a cherry sucker into her mouth. Might as well have one on the way there, though she hoped Summer would join her too, just for the hell of it. When she said yes, Harlow grinned. "Let's hit the road."
( ooc: feel free to fast forward to the shop or whatever. )

Given the chance to see this so called dealer Summer woud probably do something very out of what seemed to be her character lately. Then again she was known to get pissed off with a clear head. Meaning no drugs. People tended to kind of try to cool her down, but being that it was the dealer she would probably give him a taste of his own medacine. She wouldn't be shoving the phone down his throat she'd be shoving the drugs down there. Sure, it was stupid to still be in a bad mood over it to an extent, but nonetheless it was what it was.
Summer could pull off some really witty moments despite anything. She was completely random and could pry chill with about anyone if she gave them the time of day or the chance. She kind of was a lot more humble then when she started. "Well,I do have a pretty good bluffing face, but I wouldn't be bluffing if the guy showed up..." she said kind of explaing herself. Summer had played poker a couple times she looked like she could really kick ass in it,bu most of it was a good front. Summer, found it highly attractive though that she would use such clever analogies. When she said deal she smirked. "Perfect.
This was something new a smoke and a pancake she had heard of that on, but the lollipop put a whole new swing on things."Thank you" she said accepting the candy with genuine smile. When she explained why she smoked or had candy she kindof just could see how that worked. "I don't really have anything that really settles my cravings, but then again I really haven't tried." she said honestly.
Taking the last drag she would of the smoke she followed the motion of what Harlow did on the cement popped the sucker into her mouth and the girls were off. Upon arriving she looked at the deals they had listed in front of the shot. The prices were reasonable just like last time, but she'd get the two for one deal this time. "Can I have the two for one special thing." she said taking the lollipop out of her mouth to ask the guy at the counter pulling out her wallet. Summer kind of just payed for things it was her deal.

"Don't doubt you for a minute," Harlow reassured her with a firm nod of her head, smirking a bit at the thought of some guy getting his arse kicked by two girls. Not only was it a pretty picture, but it'd probably be embarrassing as hell too. Excellent. Normally, the brunette opted for a verbal lashing, but you had to be really, really stupid to mess with druggies... especially when they were named Harlow and Summer, two troubled teens at a troubled school. Enough said.
The whole mix between candies and cravings had actually been a little trick that she picked up from a meth addict. It was really too bad that he ended up killing himself; he had been a beast on bass. At Summer's thanks, Harlow flashed her pearly whites, before nodding. "I get that. It's not the first thing on your mind, I bet. But everyone tends to have their little niche, unless you're fortunate enough to get your fix quickly." Shrugging a little, she added, "Might want to look into it."
Once they were at the shop, her bright blue eyes studied their surroundings. She couldn't remember being to a place like this, even if most of her friends back home were guys. They were usually too caught up in their music, she supposed. When Summer went to pay, her independent side kicked in. She didn't want to take advantage of their friendship, even if the other girl probably didn't see it that way. "You got it? I'll cover lunch," Harlow offered. She could eat just about anything with her high metabolism.

Summer figured it was pry time to stop bashing the guy and just let go of the whole matter. She wasn't getting her drugs anyways, but well she was angry about it, but then so was Harlow, but she was acting way more chill about the matter now. "Thanks." she replied to her reassuring statement that didn't doubt Summer for a second. You didn't mess with girls period, though silly guys should know that by now. Which caused a smirk to rise on Summers face. She was always up to something. There was a never dull moment in her head.
Summer had never really thought about tricks to curve her cravings, because she always got what she wanted. Sure that sounded spoiled, but it was accurate. Her dealers normally never faulted on her, but then she had gone at greater lengths to get her drug, so at the same time maybe things did change. "I suppose I should just so I don't have anger issues." she said with a small shrug. It was true she could see herself having some serious issues if this picked up.
This place was a blast there was halls and it was dark, but once your eyes adjusted it was easy to spot the enemy so to speak. She had dont this maybe like four times pervious to this moment. Her life was really random she did a lot of things that people woulnd't peg her to have done, because she looked like she was a stuck up barbie type. Summer laid out the cash ad got her equipment and handed it to her. "Yeah sure sounds like a plan." she said casually. Summer liked to pay for things, but she wasn't really going to fight about it because well some people could get mad over that kind of things. This day was about overturning there odds now. She put on her belt and held her gun. "Good luck" she said smiling as she waited for her. It would be kind of cheap if she went in and hid and left Harlow as she was suiting up.

Harlow probably would have been a lot more heated if she had been stood up by herself. Sure, so sometimes she preferred going through her worst moments on her own, but being around Summer helped calm her a bit, as strange as it sounded. She knew that she wasn't the only one and someone else sharing her emotion helped. "'Course, love," she answered with a nod, her British accent always prominent in some part of her speech, even when she used American slang.
The reason for her trust issues probably had a lot to do with her being so selfless. Sure, so she could scare the wits out of some poor cashier at a pharmacy with just her piercing, icy blue stare, but she had also taken the fall for her mother's boyfriend's drugs in her locker or when she took up modeling to help with the income. Of course, those things were botched by her arrest, or other generally 'bad' behavior, so she was just seen as a problem child. Period.
"Anger issues," Harlow chuckled with a quirked brow, that charming Smith smirk on her mug. "Hardly. That's just a fancy term for getting what you want. But I just find it useful, that's all." And since they were getting into a competitive game, she added a little verbal push for good measure, "Besides, I doubt you'd rough anyone up." She was clearly teasing, since she wasn't the judging type, but hey, she might as well get the party started. Plus, she didn't say that Summer couldn't, just that she probably wouldn't do such a thing.
When they got their gear, Harlow didn't take too long to learn where everything went. She'd watched Summer, so she quickly adjusted her belt and blew on the tip of her gun like a pro. "Likewise," she smiled back, thinking this could turn out to be quite interesting.

Despite being angry Harlow made her smile through it all. Though if she had been alone the circumstances and stakes would have been different. She'd probably go up on a bad street or something and find something that could entertain her until she got one of her favorite drugs. Her accent made her smile grow wider. She wished she had some sort of cool accent, though to Harlow she had an accent so that was interesting. I love the way you say love." she said just throwing that compliment out there. She just gave her a wink after that and chuckled some at her own statement.
Summer had that attitude that she didn't care, was a front to an extent, but at the same time she didn't really care about a lot of hings. That was just becausae how she was brought up. Sure, alot of teens had it worse off, but her parents adopted kids to keep her in the background and just kind of shut off when it came to her and she just was a bitter person to an extent because of it. Being tough was a virtue in her opinion. Though she might not be the most physically tough person she would try as hard as she could.
The expression on Harlow's face made Summer smirk as well. The girl was very smart and well picked up on a lot of what Summer had to say. The two were very much alike. "Very useful" she agreed. She watched as Harlow suited up and then her smirk turned into a grin when she said something about her doubting she would rough anyone up. Obviously it was just teasing but everyone she had threatend so far had said the same thing. Though she didn't feel the need to prove it to anyone. If she wanted she could. "You sure about that?" she asked in a teasing tone.
Summer nodded her head towards the dark area. She laughed at how Harlow handled her gun. "Alright, alright let the best girl win." she said and headed off into one of the halls to go hide and possible get a sniper shot, but then Harlow could surprise her as well so she didn't know what to really expect. It would be really fun either way.
