Nate sat in his room. He went online because he had to. The counselors were on his case again, trying to get him to socialize but it was hard for him. They seemed to think that being online would be a good starting point for him because the risk of any physical contact was nil. It was the safest way for him to communicate with other people and he had been so lonely lately so despite them practically telling him he had to, it wasn't so bad. It was just having to write it down, it seemed ridiculous but they wanted proof of it and Nate knew he could easily lie about it but of course lying wasn't something he would actually consider doing.
Nicky was nice though. He barely knew the guy but he seemed alright and then there were the compliments and the fact that he was actually attractive. Nate didn't like to even think about it so this was definitely an improvement. Maybe he really was getting a little better after all. He liked Nicky though but it seemed that telling Clyde about it was both good and bad though. it seemed the guy couldn't keep that information to himself for long but Nicky seemed alright about it.
This seemed familiar though. The first and last time anyone came over for a few drinks, Nate got drunk. It helped though, he was okay with it. He didn't really know the girl but she had managed to kiss him without him freaking out so it was good. Nate didn't know how things would go tonight though.
Nicky wanted to come over for a few drinks but he liked the guy. He barely knew him but he liked him and who knows where that might lead and then what would happen after? would Nate regret anything? who knew. what he did know was that he was definitely getting way ahead of himself and that he should even think about it so instead he just turned his laptop off and closed the lid.
