Clyde was pretty happy about the fact that there wasn't another Aussie at the school now. He may have been from Sydney but it was all good, it was still close enough. Clyde had been to Sydney once or twice, it was alright but he did like Perth a lot better. It was just smaller and quieter and you knew where your friends were. It had its own pattern and you got used to that.
Clubs would always be great but North Bridge was to be avoided whenever possible, Freo was the place to go but not quite as interesting as the city on a week day. Time Zone, Q-Zar and Pot Black were a common meeting place and the goth, punk, reject kids could always be trusted to hang over by the park across from that church. It was home and he knew it like the back of his hand but then he had move.
His whole family.. Which was really just his, his mother and his new American step-dad had to go and move to America. He didn't mind though, it was just one big adventure and now that he was away from his mother, everything was fine. Getting to the park, he got up on the bench, literally standing on it with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie as he looked around for this elusive other Aussie.

●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●● Jacobi smiled as he took a breath of the chill air. He never did mind the cold weather. It was actually kind of nice to get away from the heat from time to time. Though, what he missed most from back home was the ocean, especially the veiw he had from his house,. now that was gorgeous. Jacobi did of course miss his parents like crazy, but they had promised to visit as much as possible. They were going to move here, but he begged his parents not to. They had a good life in Sydney, and why spoil that for him? Yeah, he always put others before him. Plus, there was always the summer right? Kids didn't stay at Hawthorn year long did they? This worried Jacobi, he hadn't really payed attention to the information of the school.
Jacobi hurried through the park, not liking how little people there was outside. He pulled his sweatshirt closer to himself as the cold air rushed against his face. He had barely gotten any sleep the night before. Even though he was completely exhausted from the plane ride here. He couldn't stand not having a roommate. He shuddered slightly at the thought of returning to his dorm. Who would want him as a roommate, he needed a nightlight to sleep, how sad is that?
All of his thoughts stopped when he noticed a boy standing on a bench. Well he wasn't exactly sure it was Clyde since he could only see his backside. But hell why not take a lucky guess? "Oi! Why you standing on a bench?" A half smile spread across his face. "You could slip or something, and let me tell you..that would hurt an awful lot." He made his way around his bench. A grin on his lips. He held out his hand. "Clyde right? I'm Jacobi."

Clyde stood there, hands in his pockets, just chillin out, standing on a bench like it was the most normal thing in the world to do until he heard a voice. turning around he grinned. It was so good to hear that familiar accent again after all this time. It just felt like home to him.
"Mate!," he said, "took ya long enough," he told him with a grin as he jumped off the bench to go meet his new friend. the guy looked perfectly normal which was good and definitely something you would want to check for in a crazy school like Hawthorne.
"Naah I was just standing, ya know? Nothin weird," he told him with a shrug, faking like it was all perfectly natural to do things like that.
"Naaahh, it's just a bench!," he told him, "It'd do bugger all damage," he said with a grin. He had fallen off things before.. And fallen onto things and from things and well.. Clyde had experienced his fair share of accidence so it really was no big deal.
Course, Jacobi was absolutely right, the bench had been a little slippery thanks to the cold and ice but Clyde didn't care too much about that. "Yeah, nice to meet ya finally," he said with a grin. "So whacha wanna do now?" he asked. He figured the guy, being new, probably wouldn't have much of an idea but he had to ask anyway.
