He liked his secrets, that was an undeniable fact when it came to James Leroy. He had a whole compendium of secrets ranging from the very elaborate to the very mundane but he liked it that way. James was a guy who never allowed anyone to know more than he wanted them to know. He was manipulative and calculating and every little thing was a game to him. The plays changed and he adapted, his goals altered and he does what he much to ensure he achieves them. It was all very simple and structured in his mind.
Entering one of the classrooms, James kept to the walls. He shouldn't be here and he knew it but he didn't care. in fact the mere thought of breaking the rules didn't cross his mind at all, still, he was cautious. The caution was never to keep out of trouble but instead to ensure that he would accomplish his goal.
Getting to one of the cupboards that was used to store various chemicals for each chemistry class, James stared at the lock for a moment. Getting down on one knee, he pulled out a lock pick set that he had so far managed to keep hidden and began work on picking the lock. Getting it opened with ease, James pulled open the door and stared at the many bottles for a moment.
He glanced over each label before pulling out a few that he decided he could use. Back down on the floor he poured them into small vials with dyes to mark the different chemicals and closed them tightly before shoving them in a hidden compartments in his shoes. There was no way he was going to allow himself to be caught with this and get into trouble. No, that just wouldn't do.
Closing the cupboard and replacing the lock, James was about to leave but stopped to re-tie a shoelace, the desk he was behind seemed to be the perfect cover, not that he needed it now that his work was done.

Restless. That was the only way to describe her tonight, restless. The brunette had tried to sleep, she really had, but apparently her body had other plans and she needed to get out of this room right now before she went crazy, well crazier.
Creeping quietly through her dorm, out the door and through the hallways, well as quiet as one can be in heels, she made her way up towards the roof top where she spent about 80 percent of the nights she had been at this hell hole.
She didn't know why she was sneaking. There really was no point to it. Yeah, they had people paroling the hallways some nights but the majority of them were easily manipulated. After all, sex is universal.
The young woman continued her trek through the deserted hallways past several classrooms on the way to her destination before noticing something odd, one of the classroom doors was open.
Raising one finely shaped eyebrow Lainey made the decision to investigate. As she neared the door she head the faint sound of glass bottles tinkering before there was silence. She paused a moment at the door before decided to wait just outside. After all, she didn't want to walk in on someone, she would hate if someone did that to her. Tag: James, Outfit:Here

With everything in order, James gave the room one last look to make sure everything was in order before stepping moving to the door. He had what he came for, small vials of acid and various other harmful substances and now all that was left to do was to find his way back without getting caught, a task he was certain would go according to plan.
It was late and the place was fairly quiet so James doubted that anyone would bother to walk the hallways and check for anything that was even a little out of place. Unfortunately, it seemed he was wrong. He heard soft footsteps and froze for a second.
He wondered if he had imagined the sound but James knew himself better than that, he trusted his senses enough. Moving quietly to the frame of the door, he stood for a moment, listening for any other sounds that might let him know that this person had gone or perhaps had no idea he was there. All James heard was silence and so he could only imagine that this person was either gone or waiting to pounce.
Pulling out the small torchlight he had on a keyring, James moved quickly out of the door and shone the bright light at the form that was waiting outside. He turned it off as soon as he recognized her face.
"What are you doing here?" he asked in a hushed tone.

Keeping her ears peeled for any sound coming from either the class room or down either hallway, Lainey waited patiently against the wall next to the door for the mystery person to exit the class room. Fortunately for her, she didn't have to wait long.
After only moments of waiting, the young woman found herself face to face with a bright light. Shielding her eyes and squinting until the annoying light went off, she smirked at the figure that had emerged.
"What are you doing here?" she countered with a playful yet hushed tone. She didn't want to press her luck too much tonight after all.
"And what did you plan to do with that light? Blind me?" She added as an after thought pointing at the torch that was still in his hand.

James raised an eyebrow as his words were echoed back to him. "I suppose it doesn't matter," he decided. If he wasn't going to admit it to her then chances were she wouldn't admit her reasons to him either and that was fair. Usually if he were interested, he would push to find that piece of information but at the moment he didn't really care either way.
"If you had been anyone else, yes. I would blind you for long enough to run away," he said. Most of the adults that worked there wouldn't have been able to catch up to him and even if they did, James would have formed a plan B by then and jumped right on it. He'd do almost anything to get out of trouble and he was capable of it too. Anything for an act and a story to violence because he honestly couldn't care if he hurt someone too badly. He was incapable of feeling guilty about it so there was never that moment of doubt before hitting someone. He just did it and kept going.
"I should go back to my room. With you here, I've only got a higher chance of getting caught," he admitted before moving past her to get down the hallway. It made sense, the more people there were, the more likely they were of getting caught by someone. There were twice the footsteps and more noise with their talking and it was all something that James would rather avoid.

Shaking with silent laughter, the brunette smiled genuinely. She thought about his master plan and shook her head slightly, her brown tresses bouncing back and forth. "The sad thing is that, that would probably work." She admitted to the man in front of her.
As he walked past her, Lainey grabbed his arm. "Don't go" She said softly. She was sick of being alone every night here. Most of the girls were either in bed already, too crazy to handle in long doses or boring. It was nice to see somebody out and about at the same time as her. The fact that it was an attractive male was just the icing on the cake.
"I'm going up to the roof" She said indicating the direction she had previously been heading with a nod of her head. "Cigarette?" the young woman asked trying to tempt him to join her. She was desperate for someone to spend time with and cure her boredom.

"Exactly," he said, still a little serious. "It requires minimal effort and it gives me time to work on plan B should I get caught despite that," he explained. It might sound very basic and even a little silly to have 'running away' be a plan of escape but who was he to doubt the powers of what worked.
James stopped and turned abruptly when he felt a hand on his arm. "Why not?" he asked, expecting a serious answer to his question. Did she have a better idea? Something he might have missed? James was curious to know and that was enough for him to hear her out, at least for a moment.
James turned around when she mentioned the roof. There was definitely potential there. He hadn't been up to the roof yet and it might be a great place to hide out... Or it could be incredibly boring and he would leave. Either way, it was worth a look. Then came the mention of a cigarette. James didn't smoke though. He didn't do drugs (at last not without a valid reason), though he would have a drink from time to time just not enough to get drunk.
"Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals, including 43 known carcinogenic compounds and 400 other toxins. Why would I willingly inhale that?" he said, leaning in close and sounding like she had just offered him poison. Still, he moved past her again, heading for the roof thing time.
"Come on! Time is of the essence," he said before continuing down the hallway. He didn't want a cigarette but he still needed to have a good 10 minutes to investigate this new spot and see if he could use it to his advantage.

Lainey stared after the young man for a moment with an eyebrow raised before walking calmly after him. As she caught up to the man, which took a lot of effort seeing as he had long strides and she was in heels, she scoffed at him.
"A simple no would have sufficed" the young woman stated rolling her heavily rimmed brown eyes. He didn't have to be so dramatic about it. Sure, cigarettes are bad, but so is a lot of things depending on who you asked. She had once been accosted by a man while on her cell phone back in New York City who claimed something about wave links giving you cancer. It was all just a bunch of bullshit anyways.
"Do you even know where we're going?" She asked calmly as the man walked towards their destination. They were on the right path but, she felt like she was following him when he obviously had never been on the roof before.

"It would but I always expect to be asked for an explanation," he told her. He was used to people staring at him for second, looking confused so James quickly took to making it obvious why he would say yes or no to something simple. The more complicated aspects of his psyche just went unexplained. In a strange way, it was almost as though he was trying to balance it out and make up for the parts of his personality that left people gawking in disgust or staring in confusion.
"No, but I am able to use basic deductive reasoning and logic," he told her not even glancing back at her, as he stopped at a door that led to the stairs that would eventually take them up to the roof. He had gone past it before and although he hadn't been up it, he knew where it might lead. James noticed things, he took note of where things were and in his mind had an almost blueprint-like map of the place. There were still many incomplete spaces including the roof as well as the basement but he knew how to get there and one day he would explore it and complete that map.
Pushing the door open, he entered then held it open for Lainey. "It's not hard to figure it out," he told her. It was like a guessing game, using the fact. He was certain in the same situation she would probably do the same and decide that stairs behind a door might lead up and thus get them to the roof.

Lainey entered the familiar stairwell and made her way up the staircase her heels making a distinct clicking noise until she reached another door, which was unlocked, as usual. It was never locked. The brunette couldn't decided if the staff didn't care if they were up here or if they just thought the students were too stupid to come searching. If it was the latter then they were sorely mistaken. It had only taken Lainey a few days to find this place. From then on it had become her sanctuary. Her place to get away. To think.
One time she had even brought her acoustic guitar up here to play for a bit. It was amazing to feel the breeze whipping her hair, the sun shining on her face, and the thin metal wires underneath her fingertips. Almost like home, almost. However, getting back down and to the dorms with her guitar, after hours was a difficult task and she hadn't bothered to try again yet. Maybe that's what she could do tomorrow.
The young brunette walked over towards the end of the roof where there was a slight ledge that prevented you from walking strait off the side of the building and sat on it, swinging her thin legs over the side of the building after slipping off her heels. She closed her eyes, ignoring the fact that she had someone else with her for a moment and just enjoyed her space as the wind tossed her hair in the breeze.

James followed behind Lainey, walking up the stairs to what could be a new place for him to explore and use as a high out when he needed to get away. His room worked well enough but there was no privacy there. There was no silence and he was never left alone for too long. Moving past the door, he looked out at the empty space. This could do. It certainly had potential at least.
He watched for a moment as she moved out toward the ledge and then just stand there. Letting the door shut behind him, James moved around the corner, leaving her alone for a moment as he looked at the space. The back of it was much more suited to his needs. He could come up here, write his notes, do what he did and no one would bother him. The soft rattling of the vents was enough to disguise any sounds that a small creature might make and the space, although open, could work to his advantage.
Turning back around, he found his way to Lainey. He watches the wind against her hair and her just standing there. She seemed completely still and for a second James wondered what it was she was thinking. Moving up behind her, he placed a hand against her lower back and leaned in to speak. The 6'4'' eighteen year old was used to leaning down if he wanted to get close to people. "What now?" he whispered in her ear.

Lainey didn't notice the young man's disappearance. Nor did she see or hear him approach. In fact, she didn't notice him until he was directly behind her, whispering in her ears. She shivered as his warm breath clashed with the cool wind against her neck.
"Well," the brunette said focusing on the scenery in front of her to help clear her head. "I would offer you a cigarette but you've made it perfectly clear you want nothing to do with them." she continued knowing perfectly well what she wanted to do with the young man standing behind her. However, she would deny her initial instinct at this moment.
Normally, Lainey wouldn't hesitate to act out her desires, after all no one says no, but she couldn't get a read on this man. He seemed into her at one moment, the next, he was distant. It was incredibly frustrating for a girl who always gets what she wants.
"So, whatever you want I guess." She finished not reaching into her purse to pull out her cigarettes. To be honest, she didn't really like them all that much. The young woman just needed something to do with her hands.

James actually managed to laugh a little, finding something funny in her words as he stepped back and turned around to look back at the roof. He placed his hands in his pockets and moved to the right, glancing out at the view there with his back to her.
What did he want? Her voice echoed in his mind. Right now, under the cover of darkness, with her standing there mostly still and in the cover of darkness and night.. Well, he could think of a few things.
He didn't answer her question. Instead he took another moment before turning around to see her with her cigarettes in hand. He didn't want to have to breathe in that foul smoke but he had other ideas in mind.
Moving to her, he pulled the cigarettes out of her hand and tossed them to the ground behind him. James stood close to her, blue eyes analyzing every inch of her face but still he said nothing. Instead he waited to see what her response would be.

Standing in shock for a moment, Lainey's first though was that she had paid good money for those cigarettes and he better hope none of them had broken as they hit the ground but those thoughts were soon lost as she realized how close they were.
She almost hated him for tempting her like this. She wasn't sure why she was hesitating but something about him made her think that one wrong move could get her hurt around him. The young brunette was getting emotional whiplash around this man and it was frustrating.
The woman's brown eyes searched the man's face for a clue as to what he wanted. Her questioning eyes met his searching blue eyes for a moment before traveling to his lips where they rested for a moment. "Can I help you?" she asked breathlessly. If he didn't make a move soon, she wasn't sure she could help herself.

James watched carefully, making out each emotion that made an appearance in her features. He had gotten through F.A.C.S. and found it to be exceedingly useful, especially for someone like him. James didn't really have much in the way of emotions, he only mimiced them and know how to do just that was useful and although he did have a natural ability to do just that, reading up on it and seeing it in action was useful as well as fun for him.
James stayed close but incredibly still. He slight smiled formed as her eyes moved down to his lips. He was definitely getting some kind of reaction from her and this was fun and entertaining. Toy with the sex addict, he decided this was a fun game to play. He wanted to see how far he could push her and what might happen then.
James licked his lips before speaking. Each move was calculated but slight. He didn't need to do anything too drastic here. He was so close and he could feel the warmth radiating from her skin but still he refrained from actually touching her. "I don't know, can you?" he asked, ensuring that there was no hint or sign in his tone that indicated anything one way or another. It came off sounding completely innocent.
